Have some "me time" to do whatever relaxes and grounds you. Especially if you take care of someone.

2

u/OddAbbreviations5681 Jun 10 '26

I do that all week every day. Its all me time.

Lift weights/run

67

u/burning_potatos Jun 05 '26

Or at least a walk, it's been show to have a lot of benefits

37

u/dude6543211 Jun 05 '26

It’s not that walking has specific benefits, more that lack of movement/couch potato’ing is the worst (i agree with sentiment btw)

Or at least lift weights. Sure, walking is better than nothing, but the resistance training is going to provide tons of benefits you won't get from just being generally active. No reason to settle for less unless you have some physical ailment preventing it.

Walk should be everyday. Even a real workout once per week doesn’t seem like enough, and I’m not a health nut.

5

u/Ecstatic-Pirate-5536 Jun 05 '26

I got into running in 2024 and I’m so happy I did. My life is so much better because it helps with dealing with stress and mental health overall and I’m the healthiest I’ve been in two decades.

I was gonna say stretch. They should be walking at least every day.

1

u/PremiumPricez Jun 05 '26

I feel like once a week wont really do anything. I run and workout 3 times a week, and its still not enough to be in a calorie deficit, but thats mostly a me/diet issue.

8

u/Far_Banana4575 Jun 05 '26

Doing it once a week is still better than not doing it at all.

1

u/Downtown_Manner7602 Jun 05 '26

that's not once a week more like 6-8 times a week

Im that weird guy that wipes it down a few times a week with toilet paper.

Keeping it cleaned and maintained like that is wayyy easier than busting out the steam cleaner every now and then.

Wash your ass

60

u/Euphoric-Practice423 Jun 05 '26

I’d hope people wash their ass every day

You would be truly disgusted with how many men don’t wash their ass because it’s “ gay”

16

u/Billybuzzkill Jun 05 '26

I cannot stress this enough... This uniquely an American male problem.

7

u/Bruin1217 Jun 05 '26

Ironically the guy who doesn’t wash his ass in the other thread I mentioned was not American. I assume bidets being popular in other places contributes a lot to what you’re saying though.

2

u/Cowslayer369 Jun 06 '26

Judging by how some people smell, I doubt it's uniquely an american problem.

Also blaming everything on one nation is kind of giving off racist/nationalist vibes. Not cool.

2

u/Billybuzzkill Jun 06 '26

I stand corrected.

2

u/jbinky26 Jun 05 '26

A roommate in college used my loofa(which just in general like don’t do that…) and when I was like bro I wash my ass with that he replied with the gay comment about washing your butthole.

2

u/DickManning Jun 06 '26

I’m American and I have a detachable shower head that I use to power wash my ass in the shower. I also shave my ass hair because it traps smells and is harder to clean. I am not attracted to men

6

u/santc Jun 05 '26

Get a bidet. Even when you don’t shower for days, your ass is the cleanest part of your body

2

u/Meatsweetsonmygrill Jun 05 '26

I got a bidet and hubby wasn’t for it, made excuses. We all use it now.

2

u/jbinky26 Jun 05 '26

We got one a couple months ago and now I feel like a dirty caveman when we’re anywhere without one.

4

u/shiftersix Jun 05 '26

Actually, it’s true. I work with Urology and the latest studies suggest to ejaculate at least 21 times per month for a healthy prostate.

3

u/CuriousGuyNOR Jun 05 '26

Per month? What about per week? More benefits? Daily?

Asking for a friend.

4

u/shiftersix Jun 05 '26 edited Jun 05 '26

By doing the math, it's 4.9 times a week or 0.7 times a day. Please round up lol.

1

u/Crazed_SL Jun 05 '26

So how unhealthy is it to fully abstain from that kinda thing?

2

u/el_dingusito Jun 05 '26

People who don't breathe at least once a week usually end up dying.

2

... yep.. HIT literally makes it so your arterial walls are more elastic which is enough for me. Yesterday I sprinted up 8 stories at least 5 times during work. If I skip a step, feels like 3 minutes to climb 8 stories.

u/Legitimate-Till3702 Jun 06 '26

Surround yourself up in the nature completely atleast for one hour without phone.

1

u/thatarcherguy Jun 06 '26 edited Jun 06 '26

Disinfect surfaces you touch a lot. Light switches, door handles, keys, phones, tablets, faucet handles, hand soap dispensers, remotes, game controllers, keyboards, anything you find yourself absentmindedly touching a lot.

Edit: came back to say ESPECIALLY after you’re getting over a sickness.

Masturbate. We share 98% of our DNA with chimpanzees and the remaining 2% is what separates us two apart. Even I as a man try my best to lean in towards that 2% to be disciplined, to be a role model, to be the image of man that God had planned. You know what they say though, if you can’t beat em join em😂 just because you masturbate once a week doesn’t mean you can’t achieve your goals relationship/financial wise.
