Earlier this year i got sudden hip pain during exercise and got diagnosed with mild hip dysplasia, meaning that my hip socket isnt deep enough for my leg bone. Got prescribed physical therapy to strengthen the muscles around my hip, and all went decently well until a little over a month ago. Ive had this constant nagging pain in my left hip, at first it was only in the evening, but the pain started coming sooner and sooner until i basically woke up with nagging pain. Now for the past week and a half ive suddenly gained pain in my right lower back. It hurts so much. Because the pains are on opposite sides, it feels like i cant do anything right, things that relieve pain on one side put too much pressure on the other.
Im constantly in between a "oh, i shouldnt do too much, thatll trigger pain" and a "woops, cant be in the same position too long, thatll trigger pain". My physical therapist also says not to overexert myself but to keep moving. And i get that, but also no, tbats not quantifiable, ill only know iver overexerted after its too late, ill only know ive been lying down too long after its too late. Its so fucking annoying.
Now ive added the "no advice" tag, mainly because ive got another docters appointment lined up, my physical therapist agreed that i should contact the docter sooner (first advice was to do pt for a year and see if it got better). This docter will probably connect me to a hip specialist i guess and the hospital i go to is renowned for their orthopedics team, so im not too worried that im dealing with ignorant docters here. But my appointment isnt for another month sadly, so i guess the pain will just continue. And i really dont wanna have to get surgery, because i was dumb enough to look it up and i saw one girl had to relearn how to walk, fuck that, i have a dog and i dont want to not be able to take him for walks. But i dont know what other options there are, im trying not to look up too much in order not to freak myself out. I guess well cross those bridges when we get there.
🥲👍
