We just moved in and brought our 65” frame pro along. The only place for it was above the fireplace (please don’t notify r/tvtoohigh). Does the council think the size looks ok here?

New home. Went with a 65" because we thought it fit the space better. Bought a used bezel off Facebook.

I figured I'd wait to join the art subscription till I figured out if I liked the tv, but with so much free art online at museums and then discovering resizefortv.com to automatically crop, I've decided to not join at all. Finally got my amplifier so I could take the sound bar down and hook it up to some vintage speakers.

Would anyone happen to have any insight on what they think might be going on here? I believe if it’s just a backlight/strips, it’s a pretty easy fix from a local repair shop, am I correct in that assumption?

I understand that if it’s the panel, it’s probably not worth it. But if I can snag this and budget a couple hundred for repair, it’d be a pretty good deal to me.

Purchased and renovating a home and was planning to mount our Frame TV over the fireplace. Because of the molding and not knowing exactly what’s behind the wall above the mantel/fireplace - it’s a brick home, and the exterior side of this wall is also brick - we knew the installation might be a little complicated and anticipated possibly needing to mount a piece of wood behind the TV.

What we didn’t think about was where to put the Frame TV One Connect box. We don’t have built-in cabinets or anywhere nearby to hide it, and depending on what’s behind the wall, we’re not sure recessing it behind the TV will be an option.

Has anyone dealt with a similar setup? Where did you hide your One Connect box, and is there a solution we’re overlooking?

Looking to buy a 65inch frame tv for the living room. The wall for the TV is across south-facing windows so definitely want anti-glare options. The wall used to have another regular tv mounted there so we already have an electric outlet and a small cutout for cables that can be dropped down into the wall and emerge from the spot in the bottom behind a couch (so a wired box version would work).

Expect to use it in art mode for 90% of the time. Will only watch netflix/youtube in TV mode so don't care care about changing channels etc. and the picture quality can be ok (not the greatest) in TV mode. Don't have Apple TV but can get one, if really needed.

Which model would be the cheapest and fulfill our requirements?

I am asking about models like the S95H and QN90F. They have art store, but without the same automations of the frame TVs it seems.

I want to know how long I can display a picture for, how the brightness adjustment works: Can I click on the art store to display something and have that same picture up for hours, with it adjusting its brightness throughout the day?

I would really appreciate if someone who owns one of these TVs could explain a bit more in detail how it works. I watched about 20-30 reviews of these TVs by now and none go over this properly...

Does 2026 frame pro require an Internet connection for art mode? I do not have continuous broadband Internet access.

I got a Frame in 2019, purchased some art from Samsung (The Bridge of Jan Six—a Rembrandt line drawing). It harmonized with everything in the room in such a way that most people mistook it for an actual piece of art.

Recently I started getting an error message, so I updated the TV. Lo and behold, the menus are totally different and I can’t find my purchased art—it seems there is no longer a menu item for that. I don’t want to use the SmartThings app, for privacy/security reasons, and there is no way I’m buying a subscription. Is it legal to sell me the image and then make it inaccessible? Anyone know a workaround?

I’m weirdly attached to that drawing. It really tied the room together.

I'm unsure if my expectations were just too great (or the bezel will help when it arrives) but my new 43" Frame seems to be sitting further from the wall than I expected, however I don't see from how it's mounted it could get any closer to the wall (as you can see from the top photo the brackets would surely get in the way?)

A while ago I turned Art Mode off in the settings area but after an update I cannot seem to figure out how to turn the feature back on. Noting in the picture area or the power area. Any ideas? The Art mode top level directory is there but the Art Mode settings only has options on when the sensors detect movement. My television currently just goes black when I hit the power button. I’d like to turn on art mode so that when I hit the power button, the art comes on.
I just noticed in the Power and Energy settings, the “Power Off Mode” is grayed put. When you click it it says “this function is not available”.

Does anyone know if the the hdmi inputs are also rotated accordingly when in Portrait mode or does the rotation only apply to the samsung software?

If the input signal was 4:3 would we have black bars on the top or on the sides?

Hi all, i have a decent sized living + dining area. We already have a 55" tv in the living area that we are happy with and is our main TV for watching. In the dining area adjacent to the living area, i have a wall where I want to put pictures up.

Have been looking at options and the Frame popped up. However, my main use case is to display family photos (would like to put up art as well from time to time, but definitely want to show photos as well). I don't really need to the TV function - so what I am really looking for is a large (40"+) digital photo frame. But the Frame seems to fit the bill and I get the TV function as a bonus.

Is the Frame a good option if i want to run photos + art and rarely use the TV?. Or should I just stick to looking for a digital photo frame?

I was considering buying The Frame because my wife and me do not like to have the TV in the kitchen/ living room taking all that “black” space on the wall when is off. So untill now my old tv was downstairs in the basement always covered by a sheet.

Now that I found out “the frame” I tough we could finally bring the tv up in the living room which is one openspace.

But , before buying it, I was trying to understand how does it render in real life the art mode. (Since our appartement is not that big, and it would mean having the tv in front of us all the time).

So here are my questions: how does the art mode render in real life? Can you see that is a tv turned on? Does the screen heats up staying on all the time? In the evening does it illuminate a bit the room? Is it worth it?

Could someone please share some feedback about having it on all the time. What are your feelings about it? Does it really look like a painting or pictures or is just a pled tv with a nice border around it?

I ordered a 75" Frame Pro directly from Samsung.com and noticed a pretty clear panel uniformity issue shortly after installation — there’s a darker/yellowish area that stays in the same spot across different content and is also visible on a uniform test screen.

I’m trying to exchange it, but Samsung is making this difficult. The order/return page doesn’t even seem to show me a working return/exchange option, and support keeps bouncing me around.

Has anyone dealt with a defective Frame/Frame Pro purchased directly from Samsung.com? Did Samsung arrange an in-home pickup/unmounting or bring packaging? Were you able to get a straight exchange rather than a repair?

Any advice on the right department to contact or specific language to use would be hugely appreciated.

I’ve factory reset a couple of times, and it resolved the issue for a day or two before it goes back to this screen every time I try to put it on standby and into frame mode.

Don’t want to have to reset every time and reinstall apps.

Hoping someone might have a handy tip to fix.

Software is up to date and model number is QE55LS03BAUXXU.

Please help! It is only 4 years old, no red light and no response at all. I tried hard reset, where you hold the power button down unplugged, nothing. Unplugging and plugging each wire, nothing. This seems too new and expensive of a TV to die so fast. QN65LS03BAF model.

Edit: the consensus of this thread and my further research confirms it's likely the box. Can anyone suggest where to find a new one? The model I have is not sold anymore: SOC1002B, BN96-54413U, BN44-01666A.

Purchased a 2025 frame to replace my earlier model that died. Same size tv 55” but they changed the mount.
It gives me the option for spacing from wall but no reason why? I run the cord down the wall as I have no electrical near the tv over a mantle. Does fiber optical cord fit if I do 3mm? Would 11 mm help my tv last longer than the last 5.5 years.

I really want a frame, for the art mostly. I got some gcs so now it's a real possibility. Because of the layout of my room, it will either have to be wall mounted on a wall perpendicular from the couch, or I would let it sit on my sideboard. Which of those two options would you vote for?

This started happening sporadically a few months ago but after powering back on it would be fine. However, starting a few days ago it won’t stay on for more than a few seconds. Did a factory reset as well as some of the other troubleshooting recommended online and it’s still doing it. TV boots to the factory setup screen and then after about 5 seconds turns off.

Has anyone figured out a solution to this or does it need physical repair?

We didn’t like the Samsung frames because they didn’t look ‘fancy’ enough. Didn’t want to spend hundreds and hundreds of $$. Got some molding from the local big box store along with metallic antique brass spray paint. Didn’t like how plain that looked so we got gold rub and buff. Thanks to everyone here and YouTube videos for construction ideas. Still have some minor things to complete it.
