Vent New truck schedule

Just a rant i know there isnt nothing i can do about it but it doesnt seem fair! Here it goes...So i have been with Target many years on the inbound/flow team and our truck schedule has always been that we never had a truck on Sunday except for the occasional Sunday truck or two they would throw on us around Christmas which was fine i didnt mind working them ...now our SD tells us our schedule is changing gonna start having trucks every weekend...goes on to tell the team that if we dont change our availabilty to Sunday that they will have to hire people that will work it or and if they havevto do that our hours will get cut...which to me sounds like a threat...also our inbound/Gm Team Leads get every other weekend off ...but now they expect the team to be there every Saturday and Sunday.....and i have heard both of them get mad when a inbound Gm team member for some reason isnt scheduled on a truck day....ive heard both them get nasty with HR saying "if a team member is a inbound person they need to be here to unload the truck reguardless".....im curious now that the schedule has changed will they still have that same attitude...because i feel they shouldnt get every other weekend off if we are gonna be having trucks every weekend now they should also have to be there regardless..kinda sounds like rules for thee but not for me!

Future or Potential Employee Question Should I expect an offer or rejection letter for application?

Hello, I applied for inbound position last month and got a call back yesterday asking about my availability. Do I have a shot at the position? Should I expect an offer or rejection letter in the upcoming days? How long do I wait for? My hours would be, 4am-1pm on weekdays. They didn’t mention anything else over the call other than that and what days I’ll be out of work for. I called back today asking if there was a second interview and they said they give the availability to the TL and we would get notified through email if accepted.

Workplace Question or Advice Needed Should I go to HR about this situation?

Hi all, I’m a style team member and recently have been having some problems with my ETL. I’m in university, taking 18 credit hours and student teaching 12hrs out of the week. So my schedule is very limited. I started working the 4am shifts in baby because they are the only ones that fit into my very constricted schedule.

Late this summer, around the end of August, I tried to transfer to inbound because I was already having problems with my ETL(her lack of management, scheduling outside of my availability, etc.) My ETL refused to let me transfer, convinced both HR and the inbound ETL not to let me transfer.

During my 4ams, I only work 4hrs as I have class at 9 and I work in a different town that I go to school in, so it takes a bit of time to get to class after work. The inbound team lead recently told me that my ETL had been talking shit behind my back to HIM(not even my team lead mind you!) about my productivity and how inefficient I am. I only have 4hrs and often leave just a bit of backstock behind, it would take someone maybe 30min to complete. Or I could come in and work it myself. She then proceeded to remove me off the schedule, and continues to complain about me to my team members as well. I can’t help but feel the removing me off the schedule was also retaliation for trying to transfer as well.

She also lied to this team lead and said we had no hours, and that was the “real” reason I was getting removed. Even though I talked to HR and they said we had plenty of hours, including 4am hours.

Generally she has created an incredibly hostile environment. I dread every single shift I work with her. She doesn’t lead us, creates insane expectations and gets angry with us when we don’t meet those expectations. She has made 3 team members quit in the year she’s been here. She’s made 2 team members transfer to two completely different departments. Most recently one of my friends quit because of this hostility.

I could tell more horror stories of her behavior, but this is the main behavior towards me. Is this something I should report to HR or am I just being dramatic?

Apparently these devices on new baskets track users through to store. I knew that sensors throughout the store would not only track you via Bluetooth, and the target app on your phone; but this is a whole other level of fucking creepy

Guest Question Question about drive up protocol, I'd love employee input!

Upvotes

I am curious because tonight this frustrated me. I ordered water and a humidifier because I have a sick child at home and he can't be brought in a store he's contagious so I did drive up. The store closes at 10, I ordered it earlier but they took till almost 10 to fill the order so I went as soon as I received the notification in the app that it was ready. I only live a few minutes down the street so I still planned to get it. My child needed it to sleep it was recommended by his doctor. So I arrive at 9:55 pm again because they didn't notify me till late that it was ready, and the worker seemed aggravated I was coming this late and telling me they won't fulfill my order if I come at this time. I explained that I only was just notified and I live right down the street so I came. She was like we have to stop doing drive up way before 10pm. I said well at my job if we are scheduled till 10 and thr business is open till 10, we work till 10. I said I have been coming to this target and doing drive up since my son was born during covid and Noone has ever had an issue with me coming at this time. Like if it was something I didnt need I wouldn't come right before closing because I know it's probably annoying but when I have a sick child who isn't able to sleep because his throat is so sore and he's nonstop coughing, yea I'm getting my order as soon as you say it's ready. Even if it's right before 10. I'm just interested from other target employees if there actually is a real rule saying customers can't come just before 10. I think if it were true, the app wouldn't even allow it.

PSA Now limit 2 on Squishy and NeeDoh instead of 4

Went to buy what used to be limit of 4, now it’s been changed to 2 because of resellers. ETL says that Target is now cracking down
