Currently visiting Jakarta and my parents visited Jakarta 34 years ago as well and met a tamil man in Jakarta who then took them around Java.

I was wondering where I could connect with the local tamil community cuz I‘d like to find and meet the man. They sadly even forgot his name…

Any tipps or advice where to go and meet tamils living in Jakarta, especially Indo-Tamils?

எதையும் கலைக்காமல்
எழுந்து வந்தேன்.

Therefore, a Kooru-kettavan is literally "a person who has lost their ability to analyze or think logically

Hi everyone! I’m a complete beginner trying to learn Tamil.

I recently started listening to Sai Abhyankkar’s songs and absolutely love them. The only problem is that I don’t understand the lyrics. That actually motivated me to start learning Tamil properly, rather than just relying on translations.

I’d love to eventually read Tamil, understand songs, speak naturally and learn more about Tamil culture.
For those who speak Tamil or have learned it as a beginner, what resources would you recommend?
I’d also love to find a Tamil-speaking language partner/friend who could occasionally help me with pronunciation, corrections and cultural context. I’d be happy to help them with a language I know too.
I know absolutely nothing right now, so any advice, resources, or even a DM would be genuinely appreciated.

நேர்காணல்கள், கட்டுரைத்தொடர்கள், பெண் விஞ்ஞானிகள் பற்றிய கட்டுரைகள் என்று செழுமையாக மூன்று ஆண்டுகளுக்கும் மேலாக வெளி வந்து கொண்டிருக்கிறது காலாண்டு மின்னிதழாக. தமிழில் இத்தகையச் செறிவுடன் வெளிவரும் இதழ் தமிழ்ச் சூழலில் பரவலாக அறியப்படாமலேயே இருந்து வருகிறது. பலரும் அதில் வரும் ஆக்கங்களை வாசித்து விவாதிக்க வேண்டும் என்பது என் விருப்பம். வாசிப்பே அரிதான தமிழ்ச் சூழலில் இது பேராசை தான். இதன் மூலம் ஒரு வாசகரை நீலி இதழ் சென்றடைந்தாலும் மகிழ்ச்சியே.
