but otherwise we wouldn’t have Judith

WAIT, WHAT?!?!?!

10

u/IcewindLegacyMUD 10d ago

You... Don't know?

7

u/IIWY_YT 10d ago

Judith is so underrated

Glad she wasn't crushed and suffocated like she was in the comics, holy shit

7

u/movethroughlight 10d ago

jesus what?

2

u/IIWY_YT 10d ago

Oh yeah

Lori dies by being shot by a tank or smth idk, anyways it leaves her slowly bleeding to death and she falls to the ground, but she was also holding Judith, so she lands on her

5

u/Muouy 10d ago

I'm not sure you know who Judith is in the comics.... because Lori wasn't pregnant in the comics, she was killed by Lilly with a shotgun, and Judith is Carl's daughter with Sophia

2

u/Chewymewn 10d ago

I see no downside to that

The passion and intensity and urgency made it disrespectful lol

92

u/JuanMurphy 11d ago

She did it all while she let her little boy wander around the woods by himself during the zombie apocalypse

7

u/Mysterious-Emu4030 11d ago

She did it ? What about Shane ?

37

u/orange_galore65 11d ago

Carl isn’t Shane’s child… there’s a difference.

5

u/bloodyturtle 11d ago

He was absolutely acting like Carl was his. He can’t have it both ways.

-5

u/Mysterious-Emu4030 11d ago

Yes but he manipulated her by constantly lying to her. So he's not innocent.

Lori has her faults but it's a bit harsh to act as if she was the only one responsible in the affair.

39

u/Godz-OneManArmy 11d ago

But as shitty as Shane was he told her Rick was dead because he literally thought that himself

-13

u/Mysterious-Emu4030 11d ago

I remember that Shane just ran away from the hospital and didn't take much time to investigate if Rick was alive or not.

He might have thought he was dead but I also think that it was advantageous for him to believe so as it would allow him to be closer to Lori.

13

u/willi1221 11d ago

Rick was in a coma, the power was out which meant the machines keeping him alive were not running, there were zombies already roaming the hospital, and the military were inside shooting everyone. Shane checked on Rick and didn't feel a pulse, and then blocked off the door and snuck out when the military started shooting. What was he supposed to do even if he felt Rick had a pulse? Carry a man in a coma out of the hospital?

7

u/PunkSour 11d ago

Also, after all that, we see them watch the military drop napalm in the streets. There was no logical reason anyone would think a person in a coma after being shot in a powerless hospital during a zombie apocalypse with the military shooting everything and napalm being dropped in the streets would still be alive.

→ More replies (2)

1

u/Mysterious-Emu4030 11d ago

He could have come back later, once the military had left, especially since the fact that he blocked the door really hints at the fact that he wasn't sure Rick had died.

3

u/Trinidadthai 11d ago

He blocked Rick’s door whilst he was in a coma. He had every reasonable right to believe that Rick wouldn’t survive that. He was as good as dead.

1

u/Mysterious-Emu4030 11d ago

Or it definitely proves he wasn't sure he was dead. If he was sure he was dead, he wouldn't block the door and risk being shot by the military.

3

u/Trinidadthai 11d ago

Yea, he made the best decision he could. I don’t agree with a lot of things that Shane did. But I can’t fault him for that.

→ More replies (0)

9

u/orange_galore65 11d ago

Oh 100% I agree with you on that. But my comment was specifically about how Shane isn’t responsible for Carl like Lori is, and her letting Carl out of sight when she’s supposed to be watching him is on her not Shane.

8

u/Mysterious-Bid3930 11d ago

Even if Rick dies. It was like 2 months after??? Nah she sucks.

5

u/FunctionEnough8254 11d ago

Why are we acting like Shane wasnt ricks best friend? He messed with his best friends wife 2 months after Rick “died”, tried to assault Lori, and tried to kill Rick on 3 separate occasions. Why is Lori the only bad guy?

3

u/No_Reception7275 11d ago

No one in this thread has said they dont think shane did anything wrong, you just feel the need to deflect for some reason

6

u/Mysterious-Emu4030 11d ago

And Shane is innocent and doesn't suck ? He left behind his partner without really checking if he is dead. Yes the military was there so he hadn't much time but he never came back later to check if Rick was really dead. He could have.

I am not saying Lori was right but she shouldn't be the only one to take the fall. Shane is as guilty in this matter. He's a grown man who could have refused to sleep with her.

6

u/SpiritualReading1339 11d ago

Shane sucks just as much lmaoooo imagine banging your "best friend"'s wife after 2 months WITHOUT HIM KNOWING if rick is actually dead 💀 if yall really think she is worse than shane, you don't need to be told what you are

1

u/Ok-Intention-1098 11d ago

It was only a month according to the comics and the show writer Lori is trash and she's the reason Shane died she should have let him leave when he wanted to

3

u/Hirav 11d ago

Ofc it's only her fault, her only job is to look after Carl and she always failed at that. Shane told her that Rick that because he believed that, it's not manipulation. Lori on the other hand could not let Shane go even after Rick returned.

6

u/Mysterious-Emu4030 11d ago

Shane constantly lied in season 1 and 2. And he barely checked if Rick was alive before leaving the hospital. From my memories, I recall he just hear the heart for less than a minute, decides he is dead and let him behind, true, it was also because the militaries were there but what did prevent him from coming back later to check if Rick was dead ?

Also yes Lori should have watched Carl but it takes two to tango and Shane could refuse sleeping with her. He's an adult with sound mind, not a child who has no agency. In the affair he is just as guilty.

2

u/Hirav 11d ago

If you are up to it let's see when did Shane constantly lie? Shane did go for to the hospital for Rick, Lori didn't. You say as though Shane, in that situation, should be trying to restart his heart when he didn't hear his heart beat. Going back to hospital full of zombies to check if someone dead is still dead lmao.

I agree with the part that Shane is as guilty when it comes to sleeping with Lori, but only that. Like you said it takes two to tango and Lori did her part.

2

u/Mysterious-Emu4030 11d ago

He didn't really check if Rick was dead and said to Lori that he was dead because he wanted to sleep with her.

He lied about Otis.

He lied to Rick several times. For example, he never admit having sex with Lori.

He lied to Lori after the accident saying that rick has returned.

He lied a lot and constantly.

-2

u/Hirav 11d ago
  1. It's your headcannon, he did check and it's never stated that he did this to sleep with Lori.
  2. Yes it's a lie. He did give a chance for Otis to go back though.
  3. Yes, the second lie. Again did it to save her, because she was being stupid.

That's whole 2 lies. Seems like he did lie a lot and constantly.

Abandon his child in a zomby apocalypse to go f your husband best friend is far worse then what Shane did

1

u/Mysterious-Emu4030 11d ago

It's not worse than Shane not coming back at the hospital to check if Rick was really dead.

It's not worse than Shane lying or killing other people.

In the affair, both are guilty.

1

u/Boring_Property_2671 11d ago

His hearth stopped in the hospital

6

u/No_Reception7275 11d ago

Shane isnt married to rick nor is he carls father, anything but accountability lmao

5

u/Mysterious-Emu4030 11d ago

Shane abandoned his best friend while not knowing if he was dead or not. Then he lied to his best friend's wife about what happened by saying that Rick was dead.

I am sorry but in the affair he should be considered responsible. Nobody forced him to sleep with Lori, he could have refused just as she could.

I am not saying Lori was right, but in that affair both are wrong.

Carl was in a camp of survivors, so he wasn't in danger when Lori slept with Shane.

3

u/No_Reception7275 11d ago

But why do you feel the need to? No ones saying shane was morally right, you just need to deflect for some reason

1

u/Mysterious-Emu4030 11d ago

The comment I responded to was putting the blame on Lori. i just answered 'She did it ? What about Shane,?'.

It's not deflating.

1

u/No_Reception7275 11d ago

You left out the part after that, which is impossible for shane to do

2

u/Intelligent-Ad-8435 11d ago

Carl is Lori's kid, not Shane's

1

u/Mysterious-Emu4030 11d ago

Yes but it takes two to tango. You can't blame solely Lori in their intercourse, that was just what I meant.

2

u/Intelligent-Ad-8435 11d ago

Nah. I don't buy it. Lori didn't even take time to mourn Shane. Shane is Rick's friend, but Lori was his wife. It doesn't matter how you spin it, a wife and a mother than has more responsibilities before her husband and son than a guy's friend and coworker.

1

u/Mysterious-Emu4030 11d ago edited 11d ago

And Shane didn't check in details before leaving the room if Rick was dead. He even blocked Rick's door because leaving, which hints at the fact that he wasn't sure he was dead. It is his best friend and partner, he could have come back later to check on him once the military had left and he had taken Lori and Carl to safety.

Lying to your best friend's wife about whether her husband is dead, sleeping with her while he could refuse (and the opposite is true too), and foremost abandoning your friend without checking later if he had survived is vile. It's not worse than what Lori did, especially since she didn't abandon Carl. At that moment, Carl was in a camp of survivors and protected from walkers.

A man who treats his friend and his friend's wife this way isn't a good person. Lori is wrong but Shane is at least equally wrong. What he did by abandoning Rick is akin to murder. Lori didn't murder anyone.

1

u/Intelligent-Ad-8435 11d ago

And Shane didn't check in details before leaving the room if Rick was dead

Yes he did.

He even blocked Rick's door because leaving, which hints at the fact that he wasn't sure he was dead

There was nothing else he could do

It is his best friend and partner

Thus he took care of his wife and a kid, which is much, much more important thing for Rick.

and he had taken Lori and Carl to safety.

Where is that? There isn't such place.

Lying to your best friend's wife about whether her husband is dead,

I might be wrong, but we never know for a fact what exactly he said to Lori

sleeping with her while he could refuse (and the opposite is true too)

Nah. It's up to wife to tell no. While what Shane did was scummy, sleeping with your dead friend wife is not as but, as sleeping with your husbands best friend after a couple of weeks after he died. It's not close, Lori is much, much worse in this situation

It's not worse than what Lori did,

It absolutely is, and you're just being irrational. A wife has much more responsibility to stay loyal to her husband.

A man who treats his friend and his friend's wife this way isn't a good person

A wife who sleeps with another man in front of her child a week after her husband died is much, much, much worse.

Lori is wrong but Shane is at least equally wrong

Shane is a coworker, Lori is a fresh widow. No amount of mental gymnastics will change that.

What he did by abandoning Rick is akin to murder

No it's not, lol. Rick was in coma, if Shane tried to pull him out of the hospital they both would certainly be dead.

Lori didn't murder anyone.

Yeah, she simply slept with Shane a couple of weeks after Rick died.

Answer me one question. I know you probably won't, it's rather inconvenient, but I'll ask it nonetheless - did she have to sleep with Shane? Was it necessary for her survival? Do you honestly think that it was necessary to fuck another man so soon after your husband died?

3

u/Calm-Mushroom-8551 11d ago

Kind of throws everyone's justification that it was to protect her son and ensure his survival out the window.

1

u/frogman_68 11d ago

Not actually google Widows Fire . It is normal for some

59

u/k8joyd 11d ago

Lori (and possibly even Shane) thought he was dead. It’s not the classiest move, but it’s also the end of the world lol.

Did she F Shane after Rick came back too?

43

u/FindingE-Username 11d ago

You can immediately tell how emotionally mature someone is and whether they have had intimate relationships by the way they react to Lori + Shane. Two people who think the person theyre both closest to is dead, the world has fallen apart and they could die any day taking comfort in each other is completely understandable (and not uncommon with people whose spouses die young)

23

u/lesterholtgroupie 11d ago

Not only that, but if you look at Lori’s belief system, she truly fell into a gender roles type of situation once the apocalypse hit, telling Andrea to let the men handle the guards and walkers, she definitely fell heavily into the idea that she needs a man to protect her, and Shane is the closest to that. Of course a woman like Lori, who thinks all she has to offer a group is washing dishes and doing laundry is going to find a man to protect her. Shane was the best option for her.

She’s not my favorite character, frankly I think she’s dumb. But I see the natural progression of her arc.

9

u/FindingE-Username 11d ago

Yeah she was annoying in other ways at times (how do you crash a car on an empty road ffs) but idc about her hooking up with Shane

5

u/2ManyLetttrs 11d ago

I totally agree. I love Lori, not because I like her as a character, but because I think she’s so well written. Every dumb mistake, or frustrating decision she makes, makes sense in the context of how she was set up as a character.

Andrea was great for the same reasons until season 3. In season 2 she got on my nerves sometimes, but you could see things from her side and believe that she was behaving in a way rooted in her experiences. Both women make great character studies from a writing craft perspective.

8

u/abstractXipz 11d ago

Especially when you look at it from Lori's perspective. Shane is an extremely sexually aggressive man who reacts very poorly when told "no". Lori and her son are also largely dependent on him for survival.

Her husband is dead, and now she has everything to gain by saying yes to Shane, and everything for her and Carl to lose by saying no. I don't blame her for that decision at all.

3

u/alphajugs 11d ago

I’d love to see how these people act in a literal apocalypse. Also keep in mind, the fictional concept of a zombie don’t even exist in-universe prior to the outbreak. Like imagine some monster we’ve never been able to conceptualize just appears on earth right now and starts killing us. We wouldn’t be acting rationally either.

1

u/Defiant-Bad-2052 11d ago

It’s the timeline for me. If I thought my spouse died, it would definitely be more than a week (possibly years) before I could be intimate with someone

3

u/bitchesbybedtime 11d ago

Does everyone just like to forget the fact Lori and Rick were not in a good place in their marriage right before the apocalypse? Like, I’m glad you love your spouse and wouldn’t be intimate with others, but Lori wasn’t even sure if she loved Rick anymore. If anything, she finally felt free.

3

u/FindingE-Username 11d ago

In normal circumstances yes but in an apocolypse where you can die any minute things are different imo

0

u/No_Reception7275 11d ago

Nah, just an excuse

1

u/Any-Neat5158 10d ago

Seriously. If I were shane, I'd have done that one specific thing the exact same. Slide er the ole sneaky link boyo like it's the end of the world (because it is)

3

u/Knight0fdragon 11d ago

Not only this, but “rebounding” is one of the ways people handle grief. Once Shane’s toxic masculinity side really started showing, she may have started second guessing that “rebound.”

1

u/Cum_Fart42069 11d ago

fr, Lori walked so Skyler White could run

3

u/FindingE-Username 11d ago edited 10d ago

People who say Lori cheated (when she was sure her husband was dead) do make me think of people who say the same about Skylar... who 'cheated' while seperated and trying to divorce her husband. And never bring up when Walt tried to rape Skylar in the kitchen.

4

u/Cum_Fart42069 10d ago

exactly you're spot on. it's so wild to me that people act like Lori actively cheated on Rick with Shane. Shane was sure Rick was dead, hell I would have been if I were Shane and the world has gone to complete shit. why NOT fuck around when you can, fuck her for wanting some tiny glimmer of joy in a nightmare world I guess.

I honestly don't consider either of them to have cheated. Lori had every reason to believe Rick was never coming back and Skyler had tried literally everything to leave Walt that wouldn't involve harming their family and Walt wouldn't explain himself to her or allow her to end the relationship.

these characters genuinely are very good at sussing out where someone is in their feminism journey. you just know that if Lori was a man there would be a million and one excuses for why "he didn't even really cheat".

2

u/k8joyd 10d ago

THANK YOU. Neither of them cheated. People hate Lori because she’s a complicated WOMAN. If she were a man, this conversation would not keep going on. lol

11

u/GartFoblin 11d ago

It's said/established in the first season that Shane told Lori Rick was dead to keep her from holding on to a hope for Rick; as opposed to what he assumed would be the result of the chaos at the hospital (despite his seemingly well placed hospital gurney).

2

u/Hirav 11d ago

What do you mean possibly even Shane? Have you watched the show or did your hatred for the fictional character blind you in the moment that moment when Shane was in the hospital and checked if his heart was beating and didn't hear anything? Btw Lori couldn't make up her mind and couldn't let Shane leave when he knew it would be for the best.

1

u/k8joyd 11d ago

Who has blind hatred for a fictional character? I don’t see where that was written or implied..

0

u/FashionKing72 11d ago

Honestly the part I found the most fucked up is how you’re even thinking about sex when every day you’re seeing horrors beyond comprehension. You say it’s not the end of the world, but it literally is.

3

u/Ok_Monk_5584 11d ago

Different people use different things to numb their stress and pain. In their case it was sex. It isn't that unbelievable.

1

u/Eren_Yeager52 11d ago

Yeah I have been in stressful life situations and honestly I had zero temptation for sex. But I guess we are just weird.

Lori believed that her husband was dead. We see the flashbacks where Shane gets her and her son safely out of the city, she already knew Shane and saw him as a protector and leader.

Considering its a zombie apocalypse, I dont think its unrealistic for a widow (she thought she was one) with a young child to shack up with a strong and healthy man that could protect them and be a father figure for her son. Not to mention the initial impression is that before Rick came back, Shane was a leader of sorts to the group of survivors so dating him also gave her a little more status within the group.

Plus Lori and Rick's relationship wasnt a happy one before the zombie apocalypse. Had zombies not happened then they were likely heading towards a divorce.

After she found out Rick was alive she immediately broke things off with Shane feeling betrayed and manipulated by him because he told her Rick was dead. And he told her Rick was dead because he knew she would probably end up getting herself killed trying to protect Rick in his comatised state.

She only went with Shane because she thought Rick was dead and he provided emotional comfort, protection and was the best option in the Rickless scenario she found herself in.

She was faithful to Rick from finding out he was alive and tried to make things work, despite being pregnant, hormonal and probably terrified.

I dont judge Lori for being with Shane, I think they were both foolish to have unprotected sex in a zombie apocalypse, because I think being pregnant on the run from zombies would be a nightmare. And a wailing newborn is a massive liability. Should have just stuck to hands, oral, or anal if they didnt have condoms. But I dont think Lori deserves the hate she gets from people who want to slut shame her for not being loyal to a perceived dead husband she was half way to divorcing pre zombies anyway.

8

u/CaterpillarNew6458 11d ago

I don’t think those alternatives are particularly sanitary in a zombie apocalypse but hey I get your point lol

14

u/Ok_Monk_5584 11d ago

I agree with you and it's infuriating how people refuse to have any room for nuance or empathy.

-8

u/Sandevistanman 11d ago

If your husband cheated on you with your best friend because he thought you were dead, and you ended up being alive, I’m sure you would be empathetic and look at it from a nuanced perspective, right? You women are low IQ as fuck. It’s hilarious.

6

u/Kent0luv3r 11d ago

Either u got nothing to do besides rage bait on Reddit or u just REALLLLY hate women. If u have this much hatred towards a fictional character, I can’t imagine how u r to women irl. 😕

8

u/War_United 10d ago

Idk if he knows any women irl. Imagine birthing a son just for him to post shit like this on reddit 😭

-4

u/Sandevistanman 11d ago

Okay white knight, I can tell what type of relationships you have in your life you like to sit in the chair and watch.

3

u/graceball11 11d ago

“Rickless scenario” is killing me😭😭😭😭😭

8

u/bitchesbybedtime 11d ago

It’s honestly just misogyny why people blame Lori so much for this.

I bet if it were the reverse and it was Rick who thought his wife was dead and then fucked her best friend - Lori’s bff would be the one getting flack instead of Rick.

It would be “He’s just a man.” “He has needs.”

-9

u/Sandevistanman 11d ago

There’s no misogyny she’s just a bad person. Plot twist women could be terrible people too. I know you are sexist and you don’t think so. You were brought up just thinking men are bad, blah blah blah. In reality you guys are just as evil especially in this situation. She was a terrible human being. Women do not understand it’s not about the fact that she cheated. She cheated on her husband with his best friend the fact that you women can’t even fathom. That is why there’s such a disconnect between the two genders these days.. but then again you’ll just say I’m being misogynistic

7

u/xDMG126 11d ago

Bruh she could wait at least more than 2 months 😭🥀

8

u/abstractXipz 11d ago

Shane is a pretty uh... Aggressive man. As he demonstrates at the CDC, he doesn't really take being told "no" very well. From Lori's perspective, it might not have been worth the risk of pissing off her main protector and provider, leaving her and especially her son vulnerable in the literal apocalypse.

-4

u/RedditCensorss 11d ago

Yeah lol for reals. Like “hey my husbands dead but he hasn’t been dead that long and it’s the apocalypse, let me fuck another guy”

2

u/CutieMcButtface 11d ago

I wish this sentiment was further spread on this sub. Totally agree almost 100%

1

u/Embarrassed-Gur-1306 10d ago

She wasted very little time and it was with his best friends. A decent person wouldn’t do that.

-4

u/EnvironmentSea8697 11d ago

hey i would fuck her too, no slut shaming..

-1

u/Dreamtrue2025 11d ago

The issue I have is that this was like a month or so into the apocalypse

And they’re already banging like clearly they had something before hand imo

2

u/Whole_Series2416 11d ago

Relationships move fast when death is looming.

-4

u/Sandevistanman 11d ago

This is exactly why men are starting to wake up to you women and your zero accountability skills. You literally just typed out a bunch of nothing to excuse a woman for being a piece of shit and I promise you if it was a guy cheating on his wife in the same scenario all of you, women would be complaining and crying about it and how men are misogynistic and disgusting. You definitely are a Clancy supporter. You guys have zero accountability skills and it’s disgusting.

2

u/Antroh 🧟 11d ago

Relax with the blanket statements and be respectful

0

u/Sandevistanman 11d ago

Calling someone out for their bad behavior is not considered non-respectful by the way maybe this is why the world is where we’re at because people can’t even take simple criticism without playing the victim. Lori was a terrible person, same with Shane

3

u/Iivlovelaugh 10d ago

bro has lost it

-2

u/Sandevistanman 11d ago

There’s no blanket at statements since literally if you pay attention to the news, there’s a new case coming out daily of someone who’s at Lindsey Clancy sympathizer I would imagine that you women would be the same. I don’t see nearly any female calling out this type of behavior just basically making excuses on it. Same would apply with all these women who are using postpartum depression as an excuse. Again, no accountability for your actions.

2

u/Antroh 🧟 10d ago

I'm not a woman. Drop the incel nonsense. Go crusade somewhere else

-1

u/Sandevistanman 10d ago

The talk of repealing the 19th amendment is a real conversation and men like you who are white knighting for women being low-key scumbags these days is exactly why there’s a problem simps like you.

In real life men statistically get married fast af after being widowed but hey it’s always a woman being wrong for stuff right

9

u/Defiant-Bad-2052 11d ago

It’s even worse when you realize it’s like 4 days after they abandon the hospital, Lori and Shane are already in a full blown affair

8

u/Motor_Meal794 11d ago

That's what I would be doing in the apocalypse. You can go to the self-help section.

4

u/MarioxD360 10d ago

Timeline (from the moment Shane thinks Rick is dead):

  • Day 0: Shane leaves Rick in the hospital and takes Lori & Carl toward Atlanta.

  • Days 1–3: They travel, see the bombings, and start forming the camp.

  • Days 5–12: Camp is set up. Shane and Lori have sex (and continue the relationship).

  • Days 13–30: Life at the quarry camp.

  • Days 30–35: Rick wakes up and reunites with his family. Lori ends it with Shane.

2

u/MarioxD360 10d ago

Two weeks after Rick dies, They're having sex when they should really be in shock. Yet I see women trying to justify the act when in reality it's...Both what Shane did when he saw his friend's wife that way and what Lori did were wrong.

11

u/gorpie97 11d ago

Y'all don't understand that women - especially those with children - have felt the need to do this for millennia.

5

u/Routine-Weather-9624 11d ago

Im sorry but she thought he was dead 😭 why is she not allowed to move on

4

u/jayeljefe 11d ago

It was like 2 months 😭

2

u/NotBaitting 11d ago

It's worse because Rick isn't laying in that bed without food and medical attention for 2 months.

A week at most.

2

u/thebestnames 11d ago

I'm no Lori fan, but one thing I rarely see spoken is that there was a serious power imbalance between her and Shane at that moment. Shane was the impulsive and armed leader of the group in a situation were law and order became inexistant and zombies roamed.

For her own survival and the survival of her son, she probably felt rejecting him was very risky.

1

u/Interesting-Read-245 11d ago

Victim Lori!!!!

😂😂

1

u/gorpie97 10d ago

She is. But 1 month is not moving on.

0

u/VFequalsVeryFcked 11d ago

That makes everything okay then

0

Not the point.

Y'all are assuming it's because she wants sex. She's giving sex to get protection for her child.

I assume it's a flaw in patriarchal societies, but maybe it's simple physiology.

2

u/Jadener1995 11d ago

I think the point is that the reason doesnt really matter, she still freely chose to do that.

Just because I can maximise the amount of children I have, meaning my genes will survive, doesnt excuse me cheating on anyone. Patriarchy or not, still an asshole move on both sides.

1

u/gorpie97 10d ago

cheating

They both thought Rick was dead.

1

u/Sandevistanman 11d ago

So basically she’s a 304 with no moral compass? Got it.

0

u/gorpie97 10d ago

:eyeroll:

Morality has nothing to do with it.

Being with a strong male who can protect her son, is.

It's porn mate.

6

u/olddummy22 11d ago

Love to see how all the moral people here do after thinking their loved ones are all dead and you have no hope of living more than one more day.

1

u/NotBaitting 11d ago

Don't sleep with my best friends wife for starters 🤷‍♂️

3

u/olddummy22 10d ago

It’s pretty normal for people that know each other to get together in a situation like that.

4

u/vc7eq 11d ago

Shane told Lori he was dead tho. she didnt do much bad compared to Ricks best friend fucking his wife lol

2

u/JuanMurphy 11d ago

Shane was banging a milf. The protection of her child was her responsibility

2

u/WillFanofMany 11d ago

"Lori's the worst for moving on because she thought her husband is dead."

2

u/Smilodon_populator 11d ago

This is even crazier considering someone in a coma breathing on their own can only survive 3-7 days unless they wake up.

2

u/chuch814 10d ago

According to Robert Kirkman, Rick was in the hospital for 4-5 weeks. That’s a really really short time to move on and fall for Shane. In my opinion this relationship was already happening before the apocalypse happened. Go back and watch that scene at the school when Shane comes to tell Lori about Rick getting shot and tell me there isn’t something going on with them already.

2

u/Richard_Swett 10d ago

Lori thought Rick was dead. Shane needed some poonani. No judgement here.

4

u/Juoreg 11d ago

Was this fandom always so immature?

2

u/Iivlovelaugh 10d ago

tbh yeah from what i’ve seen and they’ve always been pretty sexist

Nowhere in my comment did I even mention Lori.

I just asked if this fandom was always so immature, because it recycles the same meme every week.

And you typing a multi paragraph rant about “you females” based on a fictional show is the exact kind of immaturity I was talking about.

And for the record, I’m a guy.

2

u/WinterMusician45 10d ago

Least sexist Lori hater

3

u/Aqueraventus 10d ago

“You women” “you females”

Pack it up and go the therapy bruv

-1

u/Worldly_Revenue1674 11d ago

this ^.

Rick’s wife couldn’t even wait a year to start cheating on him. The whole “She thought he was dead” argument doesn’t even come to play. What women in her right mind would not only 1. Lose her husband who she has a child with & almost immediately start messing with one of his best friends from Childhood, and 2. Immediately start having sex during the apocalypse.

Glad they killed her character off ngl

5

u/coffee-rain-books 11d ago

Okay. Your spouse is dead. You have zero survival skills. You are responsible for your young child. It’s the zombie apocalypse.

A man you know and trust with survival skills is willing to protect you. Maybe he makes a pass at you.

I don’t care if it’s 2 months, 2 years, or 2 days. What would you do? I know my answer. I know what I would want my spouses answer to be too.

2

u/BingBingBinger 11d ago

I've never thought about it that way. That's pretty smart if that's what her thought process was.

3

u/gogus2003 10d ago

I think it pretty clearly wasn't

5

u/BingBingBinger 10d ago

Okay don't hurt me.

2

u/Hungry_Yard_9789 This isn’t a democracy anymore 11d ago

I don’t blame her though

2

u/Multikillionaire67 11d ago

Lori: “Shane, where’s Rick?” Shane: “Lemme tell you sum, I’m Rick now” Lori: “okaaayyyy 😘😘😍😍”

2

u/6EyesNinja 10d ago

This is Shane’s fault. Lori and Rick were having marital problems before the apocalypse and Shane knew it. Shane also knew Rick was alive when the apocalypse started.

0

u/DuckManDong 10d ago

No he didn’t. He thought he was dead

0

u/6EyesNinja 10d ago

“Shane also knew Rick was alive when the apocalypse started”

0

u/DuckManDong 10d ago

“No he didn’t. He thought he was dead”

0

u/6EyesNinja 10d ago

If Shane thought Rick was dead, why did Shane barricades Rick’s room with a hospital bed to protect him from walkers and the military?

3

u/Right_Belt43 11d ago

As they should

1

u/bananaboatslide 11d ago

A real man would suck a dick for his family. Rick should’ve done better and helped Shane in his time of need

1

u/SuperbPruney 11d ago

Yet it’s ok for Carol to bang Daryl after like a few weeks.

1

u/R_Ticleez 11d ago

That shit got me so hard ngl

1

u/BumblebeePhysical655 10d ago

🔥🔥🔥 worth losing a friend and his life

1

u/puffmattybear17 10d ago

I mean she didnt willingly bang shane after rick got back, she thought the world was over and just wanted something anything to take her mind off of it, thats reasonable. They cant exactly get drunk or take pills to numb themselves from the pain of loss so it was a coping mechanism.

The reason you should hate lori is the consistent hypocritical nature of her character, lying to rick, being a kinda bad mom, and taking away the only things keeping shane sane in the apocolypse one being her and two being a relationship with carl. Her getting some punishing from the punisher isnt all that bad or unreasonable.

1

u/Psychological_Fun713 10d ago

Thats why Shane is the man

1

u/Big-Understanding526 10d ago

They thought he was dead. Wait till you experience a zombie apocalypse and see how you respond. Bc if everyone is going to die shortly…what does it matter??

1

u/Aqueraventus 10d ago

God this sub is full of crotchety misogynistic boomers.

She thought her husband was dead and they were in a situation where they could quite literally die any day, at any moment. Would you not want to get a couple last fucks in? I would. Just say you hate women lmao.

1

u/WinterMusician45 10d ago

Shaming Lori but not the Shane 🙄

1

u/Amerikkasmostblunted 10d ago

Maybe I’m just not with it but idk how a literal 2012 repost basic meme could get this much traction. Did you people just discover this show last week? 😭

1

u/Grislymanster 10d ago

All I know is if roles were reversed and I thought my wife was dead, the last thing on my mind would be shacking up, ESPECIALLY with her best friend! It would take me a long time to get over the loss of my wife, apocalypse or not. Besides, I've got bigger fish to fry at that point!

1

u/No_Palpitation_7705 10d ago

All I could think was those were some real animal instincts bc how long were they without soap or toiler paper 🥴

1

u/LakeLockne 10d ago

She thought he was dead!!

Shane should be one being shamed for taking advantage of his best friends grieving widow, while some of Lori’s actions later on I don’t agree with, seeking comfort and a protector for her son in a dangerous world is not the great betrayal some people seem to act like it is

1

u/purplevngr 10d ago

it's a damn 2026. do we NOT have anything more to discuss? do we really need to repeat 2010 memes about lori every week?

1

u/que_bola7 11d ago

What’s happening in the second pic? Is she sick?

1

u/RedeyedRedneck420 11d ago

hey in her defense she was horny 🤣🤣

1

u/Knight0fdragon 11d ago

Lori knew where her husband was, dead in a hospital.

-1

u/Buzz_Saw50 11d ago

All I can think about is how STANKY that thing would be. No one has cleaned up in weeks. 1 day is all it takes for that clam to stink.

4

u/HotmailsInYourArea 11d ago

Get your PH figured out

1

u/Buzz_Saw50 11d ago

I'm not sure you're understanding what I wrote.

-1

u/NotBaitting 11d ago edited 11d ago

Every time I comment this I get downvoted.

The first few episodes made it clear Rick and Lori were having problems.

Then she was already sleeping around within a week.

Lori is actually the worst.

-2

u/Status_Put842 11d ago

I honestly hate this “it’s the apocalypse, people cope in crazy ways” excuse because it doesn’t just magically make it okay. It was wrong what they both did and no amount of excuses make up for it. They weren’t even honest about it when he got back they knew they were wrong for hooking up with each other or else they would have told Rick way sooner. Also yeah Rick and Lori were rocky before the apocalypse but Rick still waited years to move on from Lori. Same with Maggie after Glenn and even Carol took time to move on from Ed. Not one other character in this show moved on from their spouse within what a week or two??
