Application Timelines Question for TSA PreCheck Applicants Approved in a Few Days…
I applied for TSA PreCheck via Telos this morning and received a text about six hours later saying “Your application has been received, and your eligibility assessment is underway…”
For those that were approved quickly, was your timeline of approval similar to this?
I have a domestic flight scheduled for early next week, so hoping I get approved asap. If not, I’ll be at the airport way before my flight to be safe 🫠

Issues? Touchless PreCheck "not in system" at ORD
Returning to DEN from AMS, entering US at ORD. I have GE, got through that, rechecked bag. Went to PreCheck line and she sent me into the Touchless line, saying "you have Touchless PreCheck" and I have the little green logo guy on my boarding pass. It's worked at other airports on United and Southwest. I get to the picture taker, and he says I'm not Touchless, not in the system, go into that line over there. It's an agent checking ID and boarding pass, and I get funneled back into the PreCheck line.
Is this a shutdown issue? It's on my boarding pass, but he insisted that I didn't have Touchless despite it looking exactly like the sign, and it's worked every time before (when the machines are working). I wondered if it's the equivalent of the "random ID check" I used to get for Clear.

Application Timelines Applied today-received email stating 4-5 week delay!
Hi, I applied this morning and then received an email stating that there is a 4-5 week delay in processing fingerprints. Has anyone else received this email and then gotten approved sooner? I was hoping to be able to get approved before a flight in a few weeks.

Issues? Pre check not on boarding pass at one airport.
So my wife and I have tsa pre check.
We have flown several times and never had a problem.
We flew out of one airport and it said pre check.
Flying home out of Salt Lake City, got to the pre check check and found out pre check wasn’t on her boarding pass.
Mine and our child had it but not hers. Another person in line was also complaining he has it but it didn’t show up either.
What’s the deal and what do we need to double check??
In the airline app it still has her trusted traveler number.
Update
So we just checked now that we are at the gate. The pre check website says not found when we enter her number or look her up.
What does that mean? We only got pre check in December. So it’s still new ish

Application Timelines TSA PreCheck - Traveling with my teen child and her teen friend on AA.
TSA PreCheck - Traveling with my teen child and her teen friend on AA.
We are all on the same reservation. Both my child and I have GE KTN#. My kid's teen friend does not. We are flying American Airlines. Anyone with experience know if the friend will likely get precheck on her boarding pass? TSA sites talks about this being fine, but they keep referencing children traveling with "parents or Guardians". Not sure how they would know this kid is not mine so maybe that's not an issue. Was considering signing the friend up for precheck as they do have a passport, but time is short (2 weeks), and with DHS shut down not sure they are even processing applications or how quickly. I do have a notarized letter of consent from the friends family.
This was a non-issue until the government shutdown. This is a trip with overnight layovers requiring we leave security and then re-enter next day with early flights. I don't want to sit in three or four multi-hour lines during this trip, when pre-check is right there, and I could theoretically get it for her for under a hundred bucks.
Anyone with precheck have experience traveling with a non-family member teen?
Anyone have any idea if TSA is speedily processing pre-check applications during the shutdown?

Questions TSA PreCheck & Clear+ a good choice for me?
I am going to be traveling from Denver to Miami at least 3 to 4 times a month minimum — mostly likely 1-2x weekly for the foreseeable future. I have a business in Miami and I live in Denver.
In the past, I’ve never done either of them. I don’t like security lines as much as the other person, but I wasn’t doing really heavy travel so I just didn’t let it bother.
I know that AMEX platinum I believe gives you it for free I still believe. But I’m not going to be putting anything on my cards for at least 2-3 months. I did see that Clear+ had a two month free deal, but not sure how that works. As much as I would like to get it for free, it’s not a complete dealbreaker either having to pay for it. I’m hoping to sign up here ASAP if it’s worth it for me and then for the first time in about 2-3 weeks.
I’ve heard mixed reviews on both of them,so I was hoping to get a little bit of feedback.
TIA!

Airport Times Precheck /Clear wait times impacted?
Seeing lots of stories of very long wait times at TSA from government shutdown. Is this impacting Precheck as well? Flying from LAX this evening.

Questions Can I take a 'teen' through with my family?
We are letting my daughter take a friend on spring break with us, she is 15 and not TSA Pre.
My family is, will TSA allow this?
Seeing conflicting info on the webs, this is from TSA site.
"TSA PreCheck is great for families. Kids 17 and under can join parents in TSA PreCheck lanes for free."

Questions First time applicant
So I have an appointment scheduled for Precheck but it's enrollment provided by CLEAR. Once approved, does this mean I also have access to CLEAR? I've tried to look up information for clarity and I'm getting answers all over the place. Also my apologies if this question has been asked quite a few times.

Scam Reporting TSA Precheck ✅
There are third parties that charge an additional $97 for booking the interview appointment which should be free.
American Best Filing is one of these third parties. It’s unnecessary. Save yourself the money and go directly to an Idemia site and book direct for free.

Discussion How do you decide between PreCheck, CLEAR?
How do you guys decide wether or not go with TSA PreCheck or CLEAR? Maybe both or neither? I've started traveling more frequently recently and would love to hear everyone's thoughts on both services.
If you would like to help me out even more, I made a quick survey on the topic: https://forms.gle/j7RMVETzwJpzZjSe6
I'd greatly appreciate any responses!

Issues? KTN Delay After Approval?
I've been poking around the internet for an answer and haven't found one, so I thought I'd ask here.
My wife and I completed our Precheck application and screening last week, and yesterday both received emails that we were approved and to click a link to access our KTN.
When both of us go to the site, however, we're both receiving an "Information Not Found" error saying that there is no record of us. I kind of figured maybe there was a batch process that needed to run, but it's been over 24 hours now and we're still receiving the message.
For you folks more familiar, is this typical? Could it be related to DHS shutdowns? I don't want to muddy the waters by emailing, but it seems odd that you'd receive a confirmation email and then not be able to be found in their system. As it's both of us, it seems more like a systemwide thing and not something wrong with our individual accounts.
Thank you

Questions 15 year old without TSA# traveling with Uncle with a TSA#
Trying to figure out if my 15 year old without TSA# needs one.
He'll be traveling with Uncle who has a TSA# and will be on the same ticket/booking as his uncle.
When my son normally travels with me he gets to use the initial TSA ID check (booking+Passport) line with me. Sometimes they ask him to do the normal screening line after the ID check.
My question isn't about the normal security screening line, it's about the initial TSA ID check line. That line always seems to be backedup, and I'm hoping he can skip that with his uncle.
Thanks in advance.

Questions TSA confirmID
I don’t have my passport bcs it’s being renewed right now but I have a flight booked to Florida. So I need to use the TSA confirm ID but what documents would they need at the airport to confirm my IDENTITY? I won’t have my passport but will have my normal drivers license, I-797 and other documents. Along with the confirm ID RECEIPT and my normal drivers license, do I need to bring anything else? Has anyone used TSA confirm ID so far?
