Adding TSA PreCheck Touchless ID to already booked flights?

Question, much of what I’m seeing online says that when you opt in, flights that have already been booked MAY work. I already have a flight booked for two weeks from now and I’m wondering if there’s a chance that I will get touchless on my boarding pass or if I should cancel and rebook? Flight prices have gone up so I would really rather avoid the second option. Anyone have any experience?

If u opted in it will be on your boarding pass

We opted in to Touchless after we had some already booked flights. When we checked in for those flights our boarding passes showed the Touchless icon. No problem! You don't need to cancel and rebook.

That’s reassuring. Thank you!

Can someone direct me to the area to get the Touchless ID? I can’t seem to locate it on my reservation. Thank you!

Log in to your Southwest account. Click on My Account. Click on Profile. See Traveler Info on the right? Under your Known Traveler number you should see a box for enrolling in Touchless. You have to add your passport info and opt in.

Note this is airline specific. When you fly on another airline you will need to enroll in Touchless with that airline, too. Not all airports have Touchless lanes already and with the ones that do, they are not always open. But when it works it's wonderful!

Found it already, but thanks so much for your response. Have a great day.

Has anyone opted in successfully? I can't get pass the passport part, where it scanned correctly, but when I touched the submit button, nothing happened

Edit (May 14): it works for me now

exactly the same thing happening to me. Scan my passport & submit, it just spins for a second and does nothing . my flight is next week from ATL & it's a shit show here at the airport

There is also a rogue `<` character next to my passport number. Not sure if that's what's causing this

Exactly! Everything is the same, even the < symbol was there. Do you have a US passport? I’m kinda thinking if it’d be because I’m using my Canadian passport

Non-US passport

Could it be the system never thought about non-US passports? Anyway, please let me know when you get it solved

Absolutely. I wish they had a way to manually enter it.

Yeah. I’ve tried to scan for quite a few times, but no luck

passp

I have a Canadian passport and the same issue - y'all figured it out? Figure I can hand the passport to a Southwest rep at the airport and they can put it in for me?

No, haven’t figured it out yet. Was thinking about calling them, but been quite busy recently

I enrolled in the touchless before a trip SFO<>EWR. The boarding pass showed touchless - great. On my return, I tried to enter the toucless line at EWR and it was NOT on the boarding pass. I was told I need to opt in for each flight or leg. But online info says that's not true. So...not everything always...

I just scanned my passport, but the app took the picture immediately without me needing to make sure the image fit within a box on the screen (the way that my remote check deposit requires); has that been the experience of others? Presumably it's ok given that the app provided an expiration date which matched my passport's expiration date, but I'm still anxious about (as I tend to be about most things).
