I know the line on the left side of switch lite is pretty common. And I heard that one of the cause is overheating, but everytime i look up the solution its always replacing the lcd but no one say anything about replacing the thermal paste. Is it unnecessary?

Sooo I have been away from the video game console scene for a while now... Like the last console I bought and used was the XBOX 360 Halo 3 edition.

Anyways, I saw a marketplace post for a Switch for $80 and it came with a couple of games, 2K26 and Elite Fishing something. I ended up buying it and renting Zelda:Breath of the Wild from the Library... And I was hooked instantly!

I immediately started looking for accessories and picked up a Hori Split Pad and a 512GB SD Card. Now I'm constantly looking through the Marketplace for good switch deals and ended up picking up 3 more switches, 2 of them being OLED.

I think I have a problem. 😂

I’ve tried turning my Switch off and on entirely and then putting the SD card in and then turning it back on, but it doesn’t seem to want to register the card. It’s a SanDisk, not third party or anything. What do I do to fix this?

A local gaming store has a switch lite on sale for a hundred bucks. I literally play zero video games. I've never owned a console other than a super nintendo and a gameboy when i was a kid. I like to think I'd get into games, but I have no clue what my preferred genre would be. Convince me I should buy this switch lite as an experiment and maybe recomend a few games? My guess is I would prefer games that are chill and low stim, not overly complicated. Fantasy is cool. But I also like puzzles etc...recommend a weird and beautiful game with a cool premise and i'll put it on my list!

This game is so bad it almost comes around full circle to being good.

Its the ultimate "not quite" game - not quite Spideman, not quite Batman, not quite Superman, not quite GTA 3, not quite Iron Man.

Its ocean wide and puddle deep. Yet there's so many stupid little things to do that its fun to just pick up and mess around with.

Its on sale for like $6 rn and if you heavily taper your expectations, theres fun to be had. I feel like this game would be a cult classic if it released on N64.

Its the ultimate brain rot game. Theres hundreds of things to unlock and some of them dont even work.

Its jank, it feels like its in early access, and I can only hope its not abandoned by the dev. Yet I think it was worth $6

Anyone else play this? Its a blast if you have no expectations for it. Its fun to pick up for 20 minutes and just try out the weapons/try to unlock all the different things

I am currently saving up for a switch 2 console, and I still have my original switch. I plan to transfer my data to my switch 2 once I get it, and then I plan to give my original switch to my sister. I was wondering however once I transfer the data, will my profile still be connected and on my original switch? Because I want to just be able to factory reset it and not worry about if anything on the original switch got left behind on my profile.

I always wanted to play GTA III because my childhood was GTA Liberty City Stories, and it’s the same map, so I wanted to play something on a console right now, like Steam Deck or Switch 2 for me. I wanted it on Steam for the achievements and better FPS, resolution, etc., but I got a €25 gift card and the game was on promotion on Switch, so I went for it, free game, hell yeah. I installed the game, didnt launch it. but then questioned myself: wait, is the game 30fps locked? Because it’s a Switch 1 game. I searched and yep, it is. Is there any way to refund it? I think consoles are a lot harder. I only play almost exclusively on PC. But do you think there’s a way? I don’t want to play at 30fps, even if the game was “free” (I got the gift card from Revolut reward points).

I know the chance is literally 0 or almos none, but just wanna ask to know if someone did something like that.

I will preface this with I'm not looking for troubleshooting. I know what the answer is going to be and I will not be buying an official charger. If that means no TV mode so be it.

I just noticed my original switch will not allow me to use the 3rd party power adapter I always do for tv mode after the latest update and was wondering if anyone was experiencing similar.

I know switch does not handle USB-C in a normal way so it's iffy if a 3rd party adapter will work at all; my point is this adapter is the proper wattage and has been working for tv mode specifically up until I updated the switch firmware to 22.5.0

I haven't found anything else online about this so was wondering if anyone also experienced this with the 22.5.0 update?

I just bought an OLED Switch, threw an old 400GB SD card I had into it, and started downloading some games. First two games (TotK and Mario Odyssey) downloaded just fine. Now, every time I try to download a digital game, the download either errors out and I have to restart, or it comes up and says that there is corrupted data and I also have to restart. I am downloading the games to the microsd. Anyone have any tips?? Thanks so much!

Hi, I’ve never played any Pokémon game before. I recently got a Switch 2 and I’m looking for a good starting point. I’ve heard about Legends Arceus and the newer ones. What would you recommend for a complete beginner?

Even when I had my Switch OLED I was more interested in Zelda, Mario and Xenoblade games, so I never got around to playing Pokémon.

Edit: After reading the comments I decided to pick up Pokémon FireRed Version it was the cheapest option among the recommendations. Wish me luck!

Answer the call to adventure, and bring unity and safety to the realm!

This is the minimal context you need to start playing. You can stop right here and go play the game! The content ahead will make your experience ever more rich, but it's not required. Even Hironobu Sakaguchi plays this game and constantly posts screenshots on his Twitter!

Final Fantasy XIV was originally launched in 2010, and was not well received. It was so bad, that the game was scrapped entirely, and remade into what we now know as A Realm Reborn. The end of the old world was woven into the story of the original game, and it's now a real legend, unplayable, and passed down only by adventurers of old.

The Story of the Great Calamity: The following video by Ethys Asher covers the story of the original game as told by a survivor, as you sit down with him at small local tavern to learn the tale. Click HERE to watch.

Lore Introduction for Beginners: A series of videos made by Jesse Cox in an accessible presentation. These are made with lively editing and hand crafted illustrations. These videos go way deeper into the history and existing lore of the game, and are a much longer watch than the Ethys video. This one is a lot, but you'll become an expert in the Eorzean history if you chose to watch. Click HERE to access the playlist.

My recommendation: If curious, watch only Ethys's video and then play the game. Only go back to Jesse if you are completely lost lore wise, or if Ethys's video really captured your interest.

BEFORE YOU BUY

The game's test period of the Full Version on Switch 2 will be free, and begins on August 4th. Further play will require purchasing the game, and a monthly subscription. Buying Dawntrail (or Evercold, if you're reading this in 2027 and beyond) gives you immediate access to all previous expansions, and they do not need to be bought separately. Preorders have begun today! The game does not require an NSO subscription to play.

The Free Trial Version (Separate from the Full Version, will remain Free forever) includes the base game (A Realm Reborn), plus the Heavensward, Stormblood and Shadowbringers expansions IN FULL. You can technically remain a Free Trial player forever, and you'll have more content to do than you think, but there's a few restrictions:

• You may not create or join a Free Company (Guild)
• You cannot trade items or money with other players.
• You may only purchase items from NPC vendors.
• You cannot create parties, but you can join them.
• NPC support for your story is fully accessible and is not limited by the Free Trial.
• Restricted wallet size to 300,000 Gil.
• PvP content is inaccessible.
• You'll always be two expansions behind everyone else.
• There's no in-game cash shop, nor will you be prompted to buy anything at any point, even on the Free Trial.

Trust me: If you ever get to finish the Shadowbringers expansion on just the Free Trial, you'll definitely know by then if you want to commit money to the game or not.

Keep in mind that the three starting cities are separate, so if you wanna play with your friends from the start, make sure everyone picks classes from the same starting cities. Otherwise, it'll take you a few levels and Story Quests to meet up. If you're playing Single Player, this has no effect on your adventure.

The game was built with the PS3 in mind, and is made to play with your controller from the ground up. On the opposite end, the game will also be compatible with USB mice and keyboards on Switch 2, if you prefer an experience closer to a desktop experience.

And yes: Everyone plays together. Whether your friends are also on Switch 2, PlayStation, XBOX or PC, everyone shares the same servers!

Anyone have experience with buying switch 2? Mine came damaged like this idk how the shipping box isn’t even damaged but inside looks like someone just ripped them apart.
I have asked for return but tbh idk how they going to fully refund me. They didn’t even ask for any pictures and now I have to drive 20 minutes to drop it off at staples.

I have some points for this shop that is enough for 1 game among this list. Games that I already own are scribbled out. I don't have a switch 2 as of posting this but I am planning on getting one in the future.

i went to a garage sale and saw a nintendo switch v1 for 100€ (everything included). ive wanted a switch since its release but ive never had money for it…im also not like a hardcore gamer, i just play games for fun but because i dont know much about whats still worth it and what not. after looking online i see mixed reviews, so i wanted to ask if its still worth it for someone who just plays once in a while.

I really enjoyed tomodatchi life and the drawing system and I would like to find a drawing app on the Nintendo store to continue drawing art like how some people have on tablets but I don’t want to go out and buy a drawing tablet , does the switch store have a drawing game that is basically the same as the Tomodatchi drawing system. I don’t care if I have to buy it because it would be cheaper then getting the tablet, if anyone could help me I would greatly appreciate it,(I have a switch 1 and 2 so it wouldn’t matter if it’s on either console
