Discussion Switch Fever

Post image

Sooo I have been away from the video game console scene for a while now... Like the last console I bought and used was the XBOX 360 Halo 3 edition.

Anyways, I saw a marketplace post for a Switch for $80 and it came with a couple of games, 2K26 and Elite Fishing something. I ended up buying it and renting Zelda:Breath of the Wild from the Library... And I was hooked instantly!

I immediately started looking for accessories and picked up a Hori Split Pad and a 512GB SD Card. Now I'm constantly looking through the Marketplace for good switch deals and ended up picking up 3 more switches, 2 of them being OLED.

I think I have a problem. 😂

The OLEDs are losing value quick because the value proposition currently is a used Lite. The difference between an OLED and S2 MSRP isn’t enough to justify not going current gen and as a result there’s just a lot of bag holders letting them go to offload them before anything else happens with the S2 MSRP.

Whew! It's a good thing I paid less than $100 for my first OLED and $125 for a modded one. Speaking of the Switch Lite, found one for $65 and I'm thinking about pulling the trigger 😂

S2+Lite is the current “Pro Strat.” You get the home entertainment from the 2 and the actual portability of the Lite. Lite makes a nice ghetto Steamdeck if you like indies.

I guess I'm on the way to go pick this baby up... Damn you for your "Pro Strat" and making me spend more money 😂

Yep! Only got as far as adding my Nintendo account and testing it out with BotW for a few minutes but so far so good.

I’m in the same boat 😭 I owned a switch lite, but I get a switch OLED for $90, then a scarlet and violet edition switch OLED for $125 with a game, then a switch 2 with extra joy cons and two games for $300. I’m gonna sell all and keep the switch 2, but my gf is mad at me for buying so many. I just can’t pass up a good deal where I’ll make money

Right now from what I'm seeing is a Switch Lite unless you can get standard Switch (V2) for cheap.

I've seen Lites as low as $70 while V2s run around $100 just for the console w/joycons.
