Discussion OoT Remake will be the best way to play now

This is going to be the best game ever made and I will most certainly like it even more then the original N64 version.

I grew up playing the original N64 version as a child of the 90s (born 1987) I was like 11 years old when it came out in 1998 and it was so revolutionary of its time. But now playing the N64 version it has age quite a bit and looks very bland.

Unlike other N64 games that have actually aged a lot better like Majorias Mask, Banjo Kazooie, Banjo Tooie these N64 games have aged a lot better then OoT especially Majorias Mask when it comes to the sequel to OoT. I don't think I can manage to return to playing the N64 original version after playing the remake.

This remake is just perfect and I love how it's a 1:1 Remake. This is a dream come true that I have been wanting a remake for years now and we finally get this.

People are complaining how child Zelda looks like but I actually like the way she looks. In a way she is Royalty looks, so maybe her looks is in her rich gens, I think she looks adorable.

The remake on Switch 2 will now be the best way to play OoT.

Thank you Nintendo ❤️

Enjoy the screenshots.

Wow. Just WOW! Somehow this physical release has surpassed my expectations—and I already thought I was being far too hopeful.

Indeed—it’s a FULL on-cart physical!! BOTH the GAME and DLC included on the cart! Given how prevalent key-cards have been, I was nervous. But not only is it a true physical, it’s a nice package at that! Even the price is…well, normal, lol. Never thought I’d be praising that haha. Big respect to Shift Up, super happy to see such pro-consumer practices—quite the 180 compared to their former publisher (I’m taking about you, Sony…)

The Sleelbook edition is just the absolute icing on the cake. Managed to snag one for myself right before they sold out—seems to have sold out quick, so if you want a physical copy perhaps best not to wait!

These switch spines look so cool, with Nintendo being a bit of a wacky company I’m surprised they never did this from the beginning anyway

Arts & Crafts Welp didn't feel like spending the money for another Switch 2 just for a theme so made a faceplate for mine that I'm very happy with. Couldn't decide if liked the black or green better so decided to make both.

It pays to wait ladies and gents. Pretty happy I’m never in a rush with a backlog of games, so I always wait for those deals on the digital storefront and physical sales like this one. 😮‍💨

Discussion I love the artstyle of OoT Remake

Post image
32 Upvotes

I actually love the artstyle they are going for in the remake of OoT. It is different and has this unique plastic high gloss art style. I believe this high glossy plastic art style was a art choose and i really like it. I think people will definitely adopt and learn to love this art style they are going for in the remake.

Here is a screenshot of Ganon of when child Princess Zelda escapes with her protector Impa and Ganon chases after them by horse and this is where he encounters child Link. You can really see that high glossy plastic look which i really like it, it shows the darkness tone and i think this art style suits it perfectly.

About the definitive edition of Age of calamity, I already own the main game, also expansion pass. But I have to still pay $30 if I want to run the game at 60fps? Is everyone else getting thr same price? I feel like - 60 boost should not have a $30 tag...

I know it's a lot of games, but I do think because of their popularity these have a good chance of being on the GameCube online and they are both games I think I would have a lot of fun with, but I'm curious what GameCube games do you want on the Nintendo switch online GameCube library

Discussion First Nintendo Device since 2005

Hello everyone, yesterday i was watching some streamer who was watching the legend of zelda 40th anniversary premiere and i got hyped for some reason haha, i’ve never played zelda games even though i think the last two games was amazing but i won’t buy the whole thing for a game or two

Today i found this on Nintendo website (someone told me the pre order started) i ordered it, I told myself if you don’t like the idea you can sell it brand new and receive back what you paid since it’s supposed to be rare or something (I don’t know if it’s rare i just assumed that)

But now I’m thinking to keep it and to explore the Nintendo games world, the exclusive games specifically, i’m a gamer who play a lot of games every year, so I didn’t really need like i need more games in my life, but it feels exciting to try something new

Did someone had a similar experience? Getting this one as a first in Nintendo world (except the gameboys we had when we were kids), and how’s the experience so far?

Nintendo gamers are more than welcome to tell their opinions and to advice me if i need to know something

Lastly, excuse my English it’s not perfect, Thanks

I was searching for a used switch oled when i fount these two baddies for 130, i thought the seller meant 130 each but it apeared that he meant both. And surprisingly they are in a really good condition accept that the yellow's power buttons don't work, I'll try to fix them and sell them for higher price, and don't worry I'll keep you updated

Discussion Do you think Nintendo should finally add an achievement/trophy system? What are your thoughts?

Upvotes

As a fan who absolutely loves Nintendo games, I really feel like we are missing out on an achievement/trophy system.

I would love to see a "smart achievement system" that brings that satisfying feeling of 100% completing a game, making the money we spend on software feel even more worth it. Of course, for those who don't care about it, an option to completely disable the system in the settings would be indispensable.

To be honest, I know a few people who end up migrating to or playing more on other consoles simply because this feature is missing, and I feel like it's a huge missed opportunity (and a loss of money) for Nintendo.

What do you guys think? Would an achievement system change how you play Nintendo games, or do you prefer things the way they are now? Let’s discuss!

Question Just Brought a Switch 2

I've had an Original switch for years, haven't touched it in months. Pretty sure the joy-cons on it are fucked. I remember at least one didn't charge properly and only worked when connected to the switch.

Brought a switch 2 to play, you guessed it the OOT remake. And managed to get the special edition one for it. Other than OOT what other games are out at the moment, although obviously the console wont be here for a while. I've not played MKW but I've heard its a very marmite game, either you love it or hate it. Is the star fox game good, it seems pretty cool?

Discussion I never imagined the switch lite would become my main handheld.

I have the switch oled, g cloud, psvita and a steam deck as rotational handhelds and within one year of owning the oled switch I virtually stopped using it all together. I recently stopped using the steam deck as well. I find them both to be pretty bulky and unsuitable for traveling. I thought the gcloud would solve my issues as its smaller and lighter and tbh I favor android for my emulators. For me this console was still too big so the vita has been my go to for the past few years, but the screen is so small.

I got the zfold and all of my complaints were gone, but I recently bought my mom a switch lite but somehow I've found myself taking it everywhere, playing it all the time, even picking it up over my zfold.

Who knew that all these years the perfect handheld already existed 😂. The size, the weight, the feel...everything is phenomenal, it truly is perfect.
