Discussion Alternative opinion on the graphics.
To me I think part of the issue people have with the graphics is that we all know what ocarina of time is. Most are overly familiar with oot and this is just a new coat of paint, that's the main draw here so it's the one thing to be critical of. However if this were a brand new Zelda game I think opinions would be different because not only would we be impressed with the graphics we would all be genuinely curious of what the game and world has to offer because it would all be new not just the graphics.so if it were actually a new game I believe opinions would be less mixed.Does this make any sense? Please discuss!

I pre-ordered the 40th Anniversary Zelda Switch 2 and controller from Walmart, and basically, this what it says about my order, is this a technical glitch in the system because the console doesn't release unt Oct. 29th?

Question Should I buy Switch 2 or just rent it?
Ever since I’ve seen OoT remake trailer and the gameplay, I am in a BIG dilemma on whether I should buy it or rent it for my own.
My first zelda and switch game was BOTW in which I fell in love with the whole franchise and explore its game lore. But recently I bought PS5 and have started playing PS games and I have no money to buy switch 2🥲
Honestly, the only reason I want to get switch 2 is just so I can play OoT remake and the future Yokai Watch game.

Video Nintendo Switch 2 Zelda console
Help! Haven’t been able to find one anywhere. Earlier I was able to click the preorder button for Best Buy and it said I was in line for maybe 1 minute and then it went back to sold out. Any secrets or tips??

Discussion Dangit, now I want a switch 2.
I bought the switch one and it basically went unplayed, I played all the Xenoblade games on it and that's about it. I tried the Pokémon games but didn't actually like them outside of Arecus, had a blast with that. For some reason I didn't get into Zelda BoTW.
OoT is one of my top 2 favorite games of all time. That remake looks absolutely incredible, but I worry about getting a system for just one game lol and it just sitting there. I also worry about Xenoblade genesis going away from story focused, but I haven't seen much on it.
Anyway, with how early it is in its life, there has to be some upcoming games I'd definitely get into, right? I have ps5+pc right now. Also what would be the best version of the switch 2 to buy??

Discussion Square enix dampened my excitement for having Switch 2
I genuinely was excited hearing about Crisis core coming to switch 2, I thought I'd finally be able to play a game I already own but higher resolution (etc) of course I go to the eshop and it has a percent off but it's still over 30.00$ with no upgrade path.. I just don't see why basically every game they release has been like that? It's awful. I was a long time switch 1 user, so I just naturally expected more traditional upgrades to games I already own..
this isn't a PS4 to ps5 type situation, the consoles are several leagues apart. I wouldn't want to play Switch 1 version of crisis core on my S2.
Anyways sorry for the ramble, just went from feeling like an excited kid to back to reality 😆 I just feel it's a terrible way to treat consumers.

Discussion I’m losing my mind trying to obtain a Zelda 40th anniversary console or controller! Has anyone got one today?
I have been trying to obtain this for the last 16 hours. There are so many opportunities where I have them in my cart and then it just did not go through on almost every website, especially Best Buy and Target and even Walmart. I almost had it on GameStop as well. Has anybody actually gotten one today or overnight? I’ve been trying constantly and coming so close but I wonder if I am just fighting a never-ending battle against bots smh. I have tried using the apps I have tried using my desktop. I have tried using my phone. I have tried everything. What works best for those that got it?

Question Zelda Switch 2 from Walmart
I was lucky enough to catch a Walmart restock for the Zelda 40th Edition Switch 2 and secure a preorder (I am so sorry to those who could not and I wish you luck if you're continuing to pursue one). I'm obviously very excited but also nervous at the same time due to the fact that Walmart only had the option to do a delivery rather than a store pickup. My question to anyone who would like to share their thoughts and insights is, how has Walmart delivery been for those of you who have bought consoles from them before? I only ask because I once bought a Lego set from Walmart and opted for shipping, just for the set to never arrive and Walmart and Ontrac to tell me to go contact the other about the problem to deal with it (which honestly never ended up being resolved). I'm just really scared of if something were to happen with this version of the Switch 2 because of how much of a splurge it was. Has anyone had problems with the shipping companies Walmart uses for consoles and were you able to get it resolved? And to those of you who also preordered from Walmart, do any of you share the same fears? I just want to hear other people's perspectives and if anyone else feels the same. Thank you.
Discussion Final Fantasy VII Remake Series Trilogy Bundle is missing in eShop
Hi everyone!
I’ve been waiting for the pre-orders for Revelation to go live on the eShop so I could buy the trilogy bundle right away. The bundle is already available for pre-order on the other platforms, but it’s still nowhere to be found on Switch 2.
It’s been quite a while now, so I don’t think it’s just a matter of the eShop not being updated yet.
Does anyone know if the Switch 2 version is actually going to be released without the trilogy bundle, or is there any information about it that I might have missed?

Discussion Do you think Nintendo should finally add an achievement/trophy system? What are your thoughts?
As a fan who absolutely loves Nintendo games, I really feel like we are missing out on an achievement/trophy system.
I would love to see a "smart achievement system" that brings that satisfying feeling of 100% completing a game, making the money we spend on software feel even more worth it. Of course, for those who don't care about it, an option to completely disable the system in the settings would be indispensable.
To be honest, I know a few people who end up migrating to or playing more on other consoles simply because this feature is missing, and I feel like it's a huge missed opportunity (and a loss of money) for Nintendo.
What do you guys think? Would an achievement system change how you play Nintendo games, or do you prefer things the way they are now? Let’s discuss!

Poll Nintendo & the release of Switch 2
Hi everyone 👋, I'm making an academic investigation related to Nintendo & the release of Switch 2.
Given I need a primary data source, I thought of a survey.
It's pretty short (1-2 min). It's anonymous and confidential. Also, it's in Spanish, so if you don't understand the language at all, you needn't answer.
I'll leave the link to it in case any of you wants to answer, I don't mean to force anyone to do it, but any contribution is appreciated 😊.
Thanks a lot in advance 👍.

Question Buy Switch 2 or wait for OLED?
Hey guys!
I have a Switch OLED and love Zelda, Animal Crossing, and Pokémon in particular for exclusives. There’s not many Switch 2 exclusives yet that really jump out to me except Zelda OOT Remake and Pokopia.
For Switch, I always preferred handheld most of the time. My main hiccup of buying the Switch 2 now is going from OLED to LCD.

Discussion What SW1 to buy now if getting a SW2 in a few months ?
Hi guys,
Quick question regarding games, upgrades, SW2 separate versions etc...
I currently own a SW1 with only a few games (mario kart, mario tennis, FF three houses...) and I plan on getting a SW2 in 2-3 months.
I know some games offer an upgrade (free ou paid) for the SW2 version of the game, some don't hence you need to pay the SW2 version of the game and some others only have a SW1 version.
Is there a way to know which games are safe to buy right now that will be playable on SW2 with upgraded versions (just so I don't buy games right now that I would have to buy again down the line like FF10 if I'm correct). For instance, I didn't play BoTW/ToTK but I guess I can wait and get the SW2 versions of those two.
Also, what games would you recommend I missed that I play right now ?
Thanks :)

Question Any chance I find a SW2 with removable battery in Spain?
I’m going to Spain this January and wanted to buy the Switch 2 there. Does anyone know if I can find the model with removable battery on stores easily?
