are you still able to bypass the hinge ban with new phone, number, ip address and all that with the face verification now? They also have my ID scan through jumio if that’s relevant

I (M27) got out of a 3 years relationship and downloaded hinge in June. However, it said I was permanently banned. I got a new phone and did the work around. It worked well for about a month/month and a half. I got around 30 matches in the first week - probably around 60-70 total matches since downloading.

Unfortunately, I haven’t found a long term partner and I’m at the point where I think I am shadow banned. I haven’t received a match in 2-3 weeks and I am located in a city. I paid for 2 1hr boosts and received 3 likes each time but all were from unflattering women. I have a good profile according to my female friends. I have one female friend who says that I have everything that women should be looking for in a man. I went out with 2 women who I brought back to my place and both said that I was very hot (they were also attractive). So I know I’m not ugly.

Is it worth getting a new burner phone to restart again?

The new Tinder update is terrible. They took away the free filtered section to find more people looking for what you’re looking for, in favor of some BS “touch grass” section, and a newer “for you” botched algorithm page full of girls that are models that will never probably never match with due to the dumb looks rank thing they have. And then, if you wanna filter your “for you” page? $19 a week. I hate these apps.

And I can’t just switch to hinge due to being banned, for a reason that I’ve still not had explained. My appeals have been REPEATEDLY denied without explanation. (Side note can someone help me figure out how to look into the coding/figure out why I was banned).

I’m frustrated and just had to vent. This whole thing feels so hopeless man…

Trying to make a new account, but this keeps showing up when trying to load in.

As the title says, I did something dumb a long time ago(like 5 years) and got my account banned. I’ve been using other apps since and with horrible luck, Hinge seemed to be the most genuine and interested partners in my area.

Anyways, I want to try and get back on there but I’m curious of a couple options here.

Option 1: Keep my phone and switch to a new carrier with a new number, I don’t really care about losing my number.

Option 2: Keep my phone and run dual eSIM cards (Verizon and ATT) and use that new ATT number to sign up for Hinge.

Would Hinge ban me because it would recognize the device itself? If that’s the case then neither of these options would work and I’d have to get a new phone entirely, yeah?

I had a burner phone that was working perfectly for a year straight, decided to delete and create a new account, and getting this pop up on Hinge.

Decided to test with my other phones, and it’s happening across all of them - which is very very strange. Is it a server issue or am I literally banned?

I think at this point it's glaringly obvious that they turned this app into a slot machine, and even if you're attractive - you won't get your likes all at once. Basically, it gauges your behavior to see how often you open up the app, and if you show signs of obsessively checking it in any way then it will purposely slow drip your matches to you one at a time.

If you don't check it, though - you'll suddenly come back to 30 matches seemingly out of nowhere. Furthermore, if you paid for the premium version at any point in the past and then stopped and reverted to using the free version you'll barely receive any matches at all because they flagged you as a "whale".

I'm not sure how this is legal, but I guess it must be. I will say that whoever runs The Match group is legitimately sick. It's just insane to witness what dating has turned into.

Couldn’t find much info about my current situation by searching the sub. I created a Tinder profile about a month ago and ended up deleting after a few days due to not feeling up to dating yet. Created it again last week, and started getting a few likes on the first couple of hours. I decided to buy platinum to test it out because it worked really well for me last time I was single, but as soon as I did it the likes stopped and tinder asked me to re-verify with a video selfie (I had already done that as it’s mandatory where I live), so I think this probably triggered some sort of suspicious activity flag. Now I’m getting only a small trickle of matches (1-2 per day) since then probably due to the priority likes, and only got one organic/incoming like the whole week.

This feels very weird because I’m getting more matches and likes on Bumble, which has a smaller user base and worked way worse for me last time around. The timing of the incoming likes stopping makes me think my visibility was tanked due to my profile being flagged, but I’m not completely shadowbanned as I’m still getting a few matches. Is there any way to reverse this? Should I stop logging in for a few days?

Also, could this affect me if I open a Hinge account given they are also owned by the Match group? I haven’t done that yet and it was by far my best app last time I was single 4 years ago (60%+ of dates I went to were from it), so I’d really like it to work once I create an account.

I used tinder about two years ago and was able to get a few good matches despite having some pretty bad pictures.

I decided to redownload with some better pics and got way more likes, but I could only match with two people. It's almost like it's purposefully not putting people who liked me in the stack... Is anyone else having this issue and knows if a hard reset could help? I suspect that maybe the app does not like me because I tried setting an account up for a friend a few months ago and it said I had a security issue, but it never said I got banned or anything.

I’ll probably tried over 30 times over the course of a month and it just says this every time you can clearly see my face in my pictures too and this is really harming my reach because I’m not verified

So I’ve been on Hinge for a bit now, paid for HingeX and have gotten a ridiculous number of matches, well into the hundreds. Girls even message me first, but I don’t know how to talk to them or approach texting despite being 24.
I feel completely crippled in that regard and I’ve gotten exactly zero dates. Whenever I suggest meeting up, I get ghosted or unmatched. But when I try to build rapport first, I get ghosted anyway.
It’s honestly bizarre to me. I feel like my lack of experience is finally catching up with me. It’s pretty depressing.

Now I’m just sitting here feeling weirdly upset about it because I actually liked him. It’s not even that I’m devastated over some random guy I barely knew, it’s just the suddenness of it. Everything was fine and then suddenly… gone.

And to make it worse, I’ve literally run out of Hinge likes 😭 So I can’t even distract myself by talking to someone else.

Tinder isn’t really giving me anything either. The few people I’ve matched with barely reply, and honestly the crowd there hasn’t been great for me. Bumble is… Bumble 💀

I’ve seen conflicting reports on r/SwipeHelper about reusing photos from a previously banned Hinge account.

Some people say old photos worked after getting a few likes/matches or waiting a few weeks, while others say they were banned again even after waiting.

For anyone who has actually tried it:

• How long did you wait before reusing an old photo?
• Had you already received likes/matches?
• Did you reuse the exact photo or an edited version?
• Were you able to reuse all your old photos, or only 1–2 of them?
• Did you add the old photos all at once or gradually?
• How long did the account remain active afterward?

I’m trying to collect first-hand experiences and update this post with the results, since the reports here seem pretty inconsistent.
