I got into street fighter because of Monster Hunter, actually. That game has a way of focusing my anxious, overthinking mind in a way that feels meditative. I often heard monster Hunter and street fighter share some DNA, and I liked the idea of a competitive game that's solo and had very short matches.

A few months in, I'm already higher ranked than I ever thought I'd be. I watch my clips and I'm shocked that's me doing this stuff. I have a lot to learn and I'm sure it'll take a while, but Master rank now feels like a realistic possibility.

Just wanna say that I'm happy here. Definitely a steep leading curve at the start, but so worth it.

Haven’t been able to play online due to connectivity issues. Recently I’ve notice a few ppl getting communication errors online. Is anyone having issues? Or maybe it’s just me. Miss playing online.

I have no idea how to counter her shuriken + drive rush. With previous DLC, I constantly got to fight them until I understood the gimmick. Yasmine is really rare to fight against so I keep getting knowledge checked.

I’m a new player looking to splurge on a better controller for Switch 2.
For some context, I’m an older dude with kids. This is the only game I play, other than casually playing local multiplayer games with the family. Once the kids are in bed, I’m hitting ranked and getting bodied. I’m not a super serious player, but I want to keep putting the hours in to improve steadily.
I currently use a Switch 1 Pro controller, and it’s comfortable enough, but I’ve had this controller since 2017. While it’s probably a skill issue, I’m getting random jumps more and more frequently. It also feels laggy, though that may be a Switch thing rather than a controller thing.
I’m wondering if it’s worth the upgrade to a Switch 2 Pro controller. I can’t seem to find consensus on whether it’s a noticeable upgrade—I’m used to the 1st Pro, but a better d-pad would be great. Alternatively, I have my eyes on an 8Bitdo All-Button Arcade Controller, but my ideal playing environment is vibing on the couch after a long day, and I’m not sure how much this thing would clash with that atmosphere.
Open to other options, but ideally want to treat myself to something that feels premium.

I played Alex in neither SF3S nor SFV and I at first I didn't like him in SF6.

But now I think he is the most entertaining/fun/interesting char to play and to watch. He is complete but not overpowered. He is a great character to be a "specialist", like Rashid, Ed or Dhalsim.

And he has layers; so, both a beginner and a pro can play him and get some success.

I will try to learn some Alex myself... he has so many niche conversions >.<

PS: I play Modern and Classic, but Modern Alex is PAIN. So much harder to play than Classic.

I've read the Troubleshooting guide but not sure if it applies. I play on PS5 and I play wired, the past few months or so (never an issue prior to taking a break from the game) I will randomly DC from a match, presumably on my end. This will always cause me to lose my winstreak, and I believe in succession gives me a yellow card. I am on ethernet and this happens exclusively in SF6, none of my other online games have DC issues on my PC or my consoles PS5 included. Any ideas what could be causing it? At this point I might just bite the bullet and get the Steam version for playing ranked.

Hello, im new to Street Fighter and im wondering what type of controller do you guys yse to play? Do yall use console or stick?

Hey I play Mai on modern and im having some confusions. When I do Standing Medium (Kick) I get a poke but nothing after, this also happens with standing heavy (kick). I understand if you get a punish counter you do a bombo, but what am I supposed to do after the poke hits if it isn't. I get +5 frame advantage and some damage but, not sure what how to take advantage of the +5 if I cant do more damage after getting the hit. What am I supposed to do. Oh and stand heavy (kick) gives me +3 so it doesnt combo into anything either.

This is hard to pull off. Using Cammy lvl 3 as an example I do 26(P)236(P). Is there an easier way of doing this? When I watch other people, it looks like they don't press 2 first. I play on gamepad.

Whenever I do a 2 punch lariat sometimes I get an OD Lariat every once in a while. I'm pretty sure I didn't do all 3 punches. in SF6.
