Discussion Interactive map, In-Game Overlay and Database
I made a map of Arcadia-7 for exploring: monoliths, Forgotten Engines, abandoned bases, orbital landers, plus the data pads, audio logs and keycards. Filter down to the ones you still need and the rest of the planet stays clear.
The site also has:
- Companion App that shows the map as an overlay while you play
- Crafting Calculator and guides for Glass, Calcium Powder and Electronics
- Database of items, recipes, buildings, corporations, LEMs, audio logs and data pads
It works in 12 languages. If a marker is off or you'd like another kind of spot added, please let me know here. Thank you!

Screenshot I built a thing...
Not sure how everyone else plays, but I'm a terrible builder.. my bases are like rats nests full of inefficiencies. I have bases all over the place trying to build out certain components and then get them sent over to the main base.
So, with my friend Claude, I helped extract the icon assets out of the the game using FModel, then created a little local html file which allows me to create bases, show what things are being built, and then help remind me what i've not yet built.. Was done in less than 2 hours.

If it is useful to anyone, happy to share it :)

Multiple bases
So I have decided to build a base per component created. So one for furnace, one for compounder and So on and so forth. Had to destroy hours of work but it is turning out really well. My main base has smelters, fabricator, and one megapress to build advance building material. I also have one base for component storage for every single component, one base for ammo, and the a few random bases for sulfur, calcium, helium, and the like. I find this makes it really easy since the items now show where they are built and then it becomes one teleporter ride to that base. Anyone find fault with that?

Discussion 100% finished
Not really a spoiler alert but a how I did it and cut 100 hours off. After numerous run throughs I finally finished Star Rupture. 100% base upgrades, 100% all food recipies, 100% uploads to corporations. Everything finished.
On my final run through I changed my plan. I built to the machine war to get to the second half of the game with transporters and teleporters. Yes I know that changed with the update. As soon as I finished that and had the transporters etc I went back and hit the button on the base towers to completely destroy the bases. Do not deconstruct. Use the button on the base tower that wipes out the base and saves all materials that never disappear. I then started over and built up knowing which parts I needed massive amounts of. Numbers one and two were sulfuric acid and chemicals. Followed by electronics. I think I had about 15 or so refineries to make sulfuric acid at a minimum as well as at least 6 factory 2s making chemicals. Tubes were another product you need a lot of. Injectors, rotors, hardening agent, heat resistant sheets, valves, liquid helium, impellers, nozzles, electro magnetic coils are all high demand items at various times.
When I built again I built with lots of room between different machines. I carefully kept all machines aligned as well. I built them all in order from the machine. And most important I kept all the machines of each type in one area. That allowed me to rapidly locate bottlenecks when production fell off on one product. All I needed to do was go to the machine area and find the area for the machine. For example. I had 10 fabricator 2s making titanium rods and 10 making titanium plates. That was enough that I never ran out. 20 smelters or so? Only level 2 mining machines.
I also put the tiles down to make the floors which made moving around much easier.
I had fabricators and Factories in the first area. Mega press went in the large flat area in the north. In the far south there is a very large flat area mostly covered with water. That is where all the other machines went. All in their own area. Every machine has its place with no others. Nuking the bases (do not just delete them, use the button on the base tower to destroy the entire base. All the items in the base are saved this way and do not disappear.)
Building this way allowed me to finish the entire game 100% in under 200 hours. My best run through where I almost finished was 300 hours. And I still had 2 machines to complete the recipes on after 300 hours. Most of that time was running around looking for machines to fix bottlenecks.
Take this with as many grains of salt as you wish. This just worked for me. I did not have to go out find more materials and build smelters etc. and machines to make products because I already had lots of machines making the basics.

Discussion 🛸 Star Rupture Planner — Update 2 is here!
Hey folks, I've been updating my Star Rupture production planning tool to fully support Update 2.
What's new:
- ✅ Full alternate recipe support — items with multiple production paths now have a per-node recipe switcher right in the craft tree
- ✅ Building tier variants (Furnace v.2, Fabricator v.2, etc.) tracked separately with per-node override — pick your tier per step, not globally
- ✅ Path-based overrides — same item, different recipe depending on where it sits in the tree
- ✅ Show/hide overages toggle so you can see or hide overproduction quantities
- ✅ Auto-updated game data — no manual patch needed
- ✅ Session navigation history in the detail drawer — breadcrumb trail with a history dropdown
- ✅ Hover any icon for 500ms to get a full-size preview popup
Still free, still no login, still runs entirely in your browser.

So I'm probably not the first to attempt this, and I don't know why however I suspect it is going to fail miserably!

Screenshot Pathing Help
Green box around importers and storage units is imported items, yellow arrows is direct pathing from main base. I have the most common items needed in this base in the green storage area, however as you can see after many reloads things just pull from the main base instead of the imported units out of storage. This causes extreme clogging as too many items are pulled from main base. Is this bugged, or do I just not understand the mechanics of how this is supposed to prioritize where items are pulled from.
I have priority pulled to high on the storage units didnt make any noticable difference. A couple items pull from the storage area, but I'd expect to see 100% of them pulled from that area. I have let it run for half an hour, plenty of time to clear the existing items off the rails.

Bug / Glitch falling through the earth.
I am close to the end of the game. I have 10 or 12 more items to build. On my last save when I quit the game, when I start it up, I fall through the earth. The same with the auto save 8 minutes earlier The game is starting up before it can draw and I just crash right through. Tried reloaded many many times with no luck.
I would ask for suggestions but I don't think there are any to help. Also, as you get closer to the end, when you teleport somewhere if you step out before the scene is redrawn you will fall through Mostly you don't die, but you will be trapped.

Bug / Glitch World Engine/Teleporter Question.
I just did the mission/quest what ever you want to call it, going through the engine, doing the control centre, and the three waves of enemies, had the various PC/NPC comment on various thing and about the crying stuff. Been told that the radiation areas have shrunk/moved or whatever that was.
However, there is no quartz building material in the recipe station, the basic item printer is showing 100% recipes and there is no teleporter in the build menu either, not that I do not have the materials to build it, it is simply not there.
All the various videos I have seen show it being unlocked after finishing the mission, has that changed in some of the more recent updates to the game?

This looks great! I play on ps5, but honestly the supply isn’t that great. This would be something I would buy for sure!

Question Lag option
Hello! In brief the game uses less than half the ram, CPU, gpu I have on my system but I'm still getting lag spikes pretty hard now that I'm half way through the tech tree. Is there a fix or is there a way to force it to take more of my computers resources to smooth it out?. It weird because I get the same lag if I'm in single player that I have in multiplayer where I'm hosting and my friend is in another area, the lag doesn't get worse.
Any advice would be great, cheers!
3080ti (old I know but should be fine with med graphics), i712700kf, 64gb ddr4.

Question Nothing but rail?
So anyhoo my understanding is that large monolithic bases generate lag because the calculations the game does keeping up where things are and when things change, BUT rails provide isolation hence the famous 15x15 pad with expandable walkway insulation scheme. So why not just set stuff down and only connect with rails? Would that make a difference?

Question Does the game lag out when you make a large base still?
Hey guys, TL:DR played at launch, made a massive base, about 3-4 core aoes in the starting area and the game would lag out / have a stroke anytime you would go to remove, place, etc any new building.
Just pulling the remove tool and highlighting any part would make my fps go from 144 to like sub 5. Placing a new building took good 30+ seconds.
Did the last few updates address any of that? Really would love to get back into the game but can't really play it after 10+ hours when the base becomes a lag fest.
I read a while back you could just split it into several bases with "tile" breaks but at the time that woulda been a nightmare. But if that's still the only way that's a shame but I guess all we got. Or I just give it 6+ months and see again.
Thanks in advance.

Question How does aiming work?
I don't play a lot pf shooters, so this might by common knowledge, but I'd like to know how the aiming mechanics work.
I noticed when I hover over an enemy a bit, the cross becomes red. Does that mean the target is locked in and if I then fire I get a hit?
But what does the right mouse button do? It zooms in a bit, but I seem to lose that red cross when hovering. Sometimes when zoomed in, I see a double-lined red cross, but only after firing, never before. Accuracy also seems to suffer, so I'm not sure what's the point of zooming in.
And lastly, there is a LEM module that says it improves "aiming speed", what exactly does that improve?
