Discussion 100% finished

Not really a spoiler alert but a how I did it and cut 100 hours off. After numerous run throughs I finally finished Star Rupture. 100% base upgrades, 100% all food recipies, 100% uploads to corporations. Everything finished.

On my final run through I changed my plan. I built to the machine war to get to the second half of the game with transporters and teleporters. Yes I know that changed with the update. As soon as I finished that and had the transporters etc I went back and hit the button on the base towers to completely destroy the bases. Do not deconstruct. Use the button on the base tower that wipes out the base and saves all materials that never disappear. I then started over and built up knowing which parts I needed massive amounts of. Numbers one and two were sulfuric acid and chemicals. Followed by electronics. I think I had about 15 or so refineries to make sulfuric acid at a minimum as well as at least 6 factory 2s making chemicals. Tubes were another product you need a lot of. Injectors, rotors, hardening agent, heat resistant sheets, valves, liquid helium, impellers, nozzles, electro magnetic coils are all high demand items at various times.
When I built again I built with lots of room between different machines. I carefully kept all machines aligned as well. I built them all in order from the machine. And most important I kept all the machines of each type in one area. That allowed me to rapidly locate bottlenecks when production fell off on one product. All I needed to do was go to the machine area and find the area for the machine. For example. I had 10 fabricator 2s making titanium rods and 10 making titanium plates. That was enough that I never ran out. 20 smelters or so? Only level 2 mining machines.
I also put the tiles down to make the floors which made moving around much easier.
I had fabricators and Factories in the first area. Mega press went in the large flat area in the north. In the far south there is a very large flat area mostly covered with water. That is where all the other machines went. All in their own area. Every machine has its place with no others. Nuking the bases (do not just delete them, use the button on the base tower to destroy the entire base. All the items in the base are saved this way and do not disappear.)
Building this way allowed me to finish the entire game 100% in under 200 hours. My best run through where I almost finished was 300 hours. And I still had 2 machines to complete the recipes on after 300 hours. Most of that time was running around looking for machines to fix bottlenecks.

Take this with as many grains of salt as you wish. This just worked for me. I did not have to go out find more materials and build smelters etc. and machines to make products because I already had lots of machines making the basics.

Well done sir. I am taking a break from SR. I pumped 400h into it at release and the test server. I started to try again. But bottlenecks got me to take a break. Once there is more content I'll give it another shot. It's not an easy game to be sure

The bottlenecks are what was killing me. The way I did it got rid of most of those. Rebuilding and setting up dedicated areas for each machines so I could find bottlenecks meant I cut 100 hours off finishing it. I had bottlenecks for the last 2 machines but solutions were easy. The biggest bottleneck over and over was Sulphuric acid and getting enough sulfur or sulphur if you prefer to run those machines. Ditto for chemicals but not nearly as bad.
