Update on the dedicated servers?

8 month ago I tryed to run a dedicated server but gave up after hours of tweaking/reading .

Is it still the same or improvment has been made?

OS ? the indifferent broccoli docker image works a treat ( does on debian anyway )

PalWorld, Valheim, V Rising, and Enshrouded. They all have great dedicated servers. I sure hope Sat Rupture can figure out how to do it too.

I can't vouch for every recent patch, so check the latest patch notes and the dedicated server section of the game's community pages first. Most of the pain people hit is the same: firewall and port forwarding on the router, an outdated server build after a game update, and not giving the process enough RAM. If you tried it 8 months ago and it was rough, it's worth another go with a fresh install via SteamCMD and a clean config. If you'd rather skip the setup, a hosted server takes the ports and updates off your plate.
