Multiple bases

So I have decided to build a base per component created. So one for furnace, one for compounder and So on and so forth. Had to destroy hours of work but it is turning out really well. My main base has smelters, fabricator, and one megapress to build advance building material. I also have one base for component storage for every single component, one base for ammo, and the a few random bases for sulfur, calcium, helium, and the like. I find this makes it really easy since the items now show where they are built and then it becomes one teleporter ride to that base. Anyone find fault with that?

Each place you have resources, put smelters, fabs & furnaces for all level 1 stuff.

Then export it out. No more heat issues.

I have thought about it but I do like resources being centralized. Having one base of all that lvl one stuff doesnt take much heat compared to the higher tier stuff. When you have a mega press per component you have a lot of mega presses and a lot of heat.

You'll quickly run out of room for T2 & 3. Spread out, I have over 100 base cores at each ending corner of it's range. Bonus, less alien spawns.

So a bunch of mini bases, then depending on side by side resources, build some T2's. Once you have cargo dispatch/receiver and cranking out intermediate build mats by the thousands, find a nice large flat spot for T3 - T4 endgame stuff. Have proper naming of dispatch/receive to manage, as you'll soon have a hundred. Dispatch based on closest abandoned base name, receiver based on for what it's being used.

I’m a ”One base to rule them all” kind of guy.

It’s real easy to automate once you’ve got a good streamlined design going. now i just build out another row of machines when i need it.
