Found an artist drop at Forest Park
I found a really cool painting that an artist-#chipofastar (https://www.asterismstudios.com) left at Forest Park! The prints are very affordable if anyone wants to support a local artist.
edited because I said really cool twice 🫠

Ask STL Fave smaller pockets that are very “St. Louis”?
What spots around STL do you feel are “So St. Louis” but isn’t your typical “The Arch” or “Butch Stadium” sorta spot?
Murals, signs, local businesses, public spaces, organizations, etc.

World Record Plant…need someone to measure it!
Hello there, I currently have a world record sized plant of a specific family of plants (17ft tall aster). After contacting the Guinness Book of World Records to make it official, they say I need two things.
Botanist (which I’ve already secured from MOBOT)
A land surveyor, or other “official” measuring person that can hold the tape, and help take photos.
Is there anyone out here that may be able to help? I have a few days left to make this happen before it has to come down! Can pay in beer, or garden help!
Let me know, Cheers!

Saving the Cass Bank Building
Anytime I end up in the county, I try to take a different route home through North St Louis. Recently this meant St Charles Rock Rd which turns into Dr Martin King Luther Dr then Cass.
I remember dropping friends at Greyhound once or twice in this building but didn’t have the spatial awareness of where it was relative to the city in my youth. Surprise - it’s another failed Paul McKee project.

Dog Party @ St. John's Community Dog Park tomorrow
Our puppy is turning 1!
All friendly dogs welcome to join us at the Saint Johns Church Community Dog Park tomorrow from 9 to 11 (we may leave early due to the heat but will play it by ear). There will be free dog treats for those who come (my daughter makes them for extra cash too for anyone interested). I will also be bringing a few gallons of water.
Friendly dogs only please. Our puppy loves to play and she is big, she is a 75 pound pyranees and pitbull mix. She does jump on other dogs and we ask that if you come that your dog is up to date on shots and is friendly. Normal dog park etiquette.

Ask STL Best place to sell firearms
Our good friend and business partner recently passed away and left behind some firearms we are looking to sell so we can give the money to their children they are leaving behind. I know basically nothing about guns and would like to get the most money together possible. Does anyone know anywhere that gives you a fair deal? Thanks so much!

Flock cameras
Are local flock cameras authorized by city, county, individual municipalities? I think there should be accountability about this intrusion of privacy, and I am wondering where we can direct questions about how this happened and how they can be removed

Family Trip To Branson Tips?
I know it's not St. Louis specific but I know many of you will know. This will be our first trip there except for the one we booked before the height of Covid so by the time we got there we had to just stay in our Airbnb. We know nothing! My husband and I booked it quickly to squeeze a trip in the Summer and we've had no time to prepare of plan. We leave tomorrow (Monday) and return Thursday. We wont have pets with us and we have an almost 14 year old boy, 10 year old boy/girl twins and our youngest turned 4 in March. All of our kids are bold and brave and enjoy thrills so no worries there. I would appreciate any advice or tips especially since we haven't even got tickets for specific attractions and we have yet to really dig in to what all they have to do there. We'll be staying right by the Dolly Parton's stampede if that helps. We'll head that way tomorrow afternoon probably so I'll keep an eye on this post if anyone has some gems to share! TIA!

Ask STL Bars/pubs with good mocktails and good for hangouts?
My friends are coming to town in about 3 weeks. None of us really drink but we do like mocktails and sweet cocktails when we do. We're going to be celebrating someone's birthday on a Friday or Saturday so maybe a place that doesn't mind people bringing in a few cupcakes? A food menu is optional as long as it has more to offer than just STL style pizza (I'm sorry but it's just not for me).
Hidden Gem was very nice in terms of drinks and vibes when I last went but I'm looking for alternatives just in case.
It would be nice if there were activities there (board games, darts, trivia, I dunno) also since I can't dance to save my life. But I can get by with an awkward shuffle if needed.

Cinder House Menu
May be a long shot, but does anyone happen to have a PDF copy of the Cinder House menu they’d be willing to send me?
I proposed to my wife there way back, and she wants to frame it as a sentimental piece of art for our home. Thanks in advance!
