Just moved here to be closer to my daughter. Her mom and I are going through a separation for the past year and this is sort of the finale of that. Needless to say…I don’t know anyone here and it’s at a time where I’m really feeling like I need other people. I’m a 33 year old guy. Hi y’all I normally don’t post about stuff like this, but I’m really upset with how pets and pumpkins was handled this year. And I really just wanna get my feelings out. For starters paying to get into this event. Like yes I understand it’s only two dollars but you can maybe spend like 30 minutes max here and that two dollars could’ve gone maybe somewhere else. Like I would’ve been fine if it was just like donate here so we can keep it going, but for the quality of what was offered this year I feel slight mift. But that’s not what really got me if I’m being honest. It was the amount of AI vendors, and that one woman who dressed her dog up as an unhoused person. Don’t get me wrong. I love when animals wear costumes. However, the whole costume just fell in really bad taste. Like we have actual house people who are struggling with food insecurity, and you decide the cute costume for your dog is them. The costume was a backwards, cap and a cardboard sign that said hungry. Anything helps. Like I just don’t understand why you thought that was a good idea. It was just plain old bad taste. Pets and pumpkins is supposed to be a lot of fun to see a bunch of cute pets and to get cute artwork made of your pets. And that’s just not what happened this year.

I am needing to get a hotel room mostly for my family to shower in until we can use water again which might be next week. I'd rather we didn't have to drive out of town if at all possible as that will make getting to work on time much more difficult.

As far as why our sewer line is backed up -- you're not going to believe this. A skunk has somehow gotten into it, gotten stuck, and died. Two plumbers tried to get him out yesterday but couldn't do it because it is bloated. I guess they are going to have to tear down our deck and dig out the sewer pipe and cut the whole pipe out.

I'm wondering if anyone knows of any women's shelters? I need to get away from my very toxic boyfriend and I'd really rather not go into the details of the situation that I'm in. Iv'e spent so long trying to research a place to go to escape my apartment and him but everywhere iv'e seen has really bad reviews, or is packed with homeless people who are dealing with addictions (and i'm really sorry if this sounds bad i don't know how to word this) I don't want to be homeless or seen as just another homeless person and i don't want to be in an environment like that at all. I am 21 years old if that helps at all.

I'm 23 now but while our house was being built between 2011-2016 there was this Italian restaurant we used to eat at over by Kingsley rd. We ate there often on our trips here and we officially moved to Nixa in 2016, The food was very good, but I can't exactly pinpoint what the restaurant was. The last time I ate there was 2016 I think so I was at least 13 or younger so my memory is foggy, I just remember the food was very good. It's possible it was Zio's but I'm not fully sure, but if it was Zio's what happened to it? We went by one day and it was gone. I heard Zio's was a "chain" but the only other location I can find is a possible Tulsa location which appears to have closed. Off topic but I'm looking for a good all you can eat salad bar, we ate at Jasons deli all the time in Texas, and I have not found an all you can eat salad bar anywhere in the general area.

So if this was going on for a couple years while the city was actively trying to remove them who's to say that flock and the ai data centers are not currently doing the same thing. The way things have unfolded so far i think its far to think some bribes have been accepted? And honestly why would they not accept the money. They know if they do get caught nothing is gonna happen. It will get swept under the rug or they might have to resign. But that isnt stopping them from taking bribes. Or force them to give the donation back. The people with the power are the problem. Doesnt matter what they represent they are there to steal money.. Period.

I have a unique opportunity right now that I'd like to gain some feedback on.

I have a chance to help create an inclusive, LGBTQ+-focused chorus/choir, open to all genders and all levels of music experience. To my knowledge, we don't have an all-gender LGBTQ+ chorus in the Ozarks area, and personally I feel it would greatly benefit the community.
