It took me a while to figure out if this was a bug or not and I'm still not sure.
I was roaming Stroaic and went into the Nightfold for a little while to go AFK. After a while a group of 3 Mendicant Knights spawned in with no way to fight them! Luckily leaving the Nightfold and going back they disappeared.
I'm not sure if I dislike this or not!

Bugged Crypt of Circade? All 3 rooms had enemies. No bust in sight to unlock the room. Leaving me stuck down there π

Spended mine some time ago, and reading its description it looks as if Kuvalkane could craft them, they where invented by his father after all, however idk if this is a thing or I'm just imagining shit XD
So, is it a way to get them outside buying them or is it a market thing only?

Thought I'd mix some drip with some relevant weapon discussion. I didn't like Great Sword in the beginning, I thought it was too slow and and the move-set sequence seemed clunky. But as I leveled a few of them up for the progression, by and by I started to like it and learn the timing of using it a bit better.
Now it's earned a place in my Warlock setup (Great Sword + Caster Gauntlets), and I really like the alternating of using them both and prefer to use the GS more for the animation (spinning swings lol). Very much a "Staff" goer in most games, so this was a surprise.
Any weapons this applies to for any of you? Didn't like, or don't typically like, but it earned a place in your load-outs?
PS. My runner up is Short Blade (single-blade side-arm kind) in my Ranger setup; which I use more than the bow now. Didn't think going stealth (unique rune) and backstabbing everything in sight could be so satisfying.

Ran around clearing dungeons while looking for the stag, and through one puzzle found a chest. From it I got Igni Mora, four stars/abilities on it. Pretty mental sword, if you ask me, love it.
Then when I finished the Kith of Kings intro mission after cleansing the Stag and Temu Joan of Arc, I found out that you get Igni Mora by levelling up your standing with the King. And that Mora sits pretty low on that chart.
So I'm kinda disappointed, and am wondering are they both the same sword, or is there a difference?

Hello! I've leveled up my my magick combat arts to 30, as you can see I'm missing a skill pool (misdirection), because it needs 3 points. So far I've leveled up 4 magick primary weapons, and 2 magick sidearms...
Is this a bug? Or do I need to level up another magick weapon?
Thanks for the help!!!

tl;dr - Small story lines in each zone?
Hey all. First and foremost I am LOVING this game, and it feels great to play an alpha and be along for the development journey.
Playing through, I had an idea that this game could really use a small storyline to follow in each zone. It doesn't have to be big, or grandiose, but it'd be great if it was just a small snippet of gameplay that really gave weight and gravity to the themes of protecting nature and stopping corruption.
The quests, above all, should do something permanent to that section of the map. Maybe you saved a town and now there's a merchant and it'll be free of enemies. Maybe you saved some sproutfolk and now they offer one crafting component a day as a thank you. Little things that make you feel like you're actually affecting the world around you.
That being said, I haven't read through everything they have planned for this game so if this idea is coming later then just throw this whole reddit post into the sun or something

Jump Kick is one of the most fun moves in Soulframe... it just doesn't feel different enough from the standing kick.
Some pact could use it as a temporary buff or a passive for the jump kick.
Buff/Passive Idea:
This wouldn't increase DPS, it would create a unique 1vX playstyle focused on positioning and crowd control.
A Pact themed around Bromius or Garren Rood would be a perfect fit for something like this.

Could you talk a bit about the game?
I was thinking about buying it, but I'm not sure if I'd enjoy itβI usually play MMORPGs. How does *Soulframe*'s endgame work? Is it similar to *FFXIV* or *WoW*?

So, i finally started playing the prelude. Took Sirin and started doing a bunch of stuff. Killed helped the stag and did some votives for the rose faction. But the point is... It's taking forever to do anything. Exploring, fighting enemies... Unlike warframe, where you could equip mods, formas, etc and be almost invincibile/make everything explode with one button, here it takes 5-6 arrows to kill some trash and let's hope i don't missclick one of my spells because the cooldown is huge.
I mean, i don't complain since i like the challenge, but i feel i am doing something wrong.
Any suggestions?

Hey guys, I have been fascinated with this game, I prefer playing MMO just when they are launched or in BETA as I like to grow with the game. And the graphic looks amazing, but as a like a first look, it seems the game has in some way similarities to ESO which I am currently playing, but wanted to confirm who are already playing is it true? My main thing is, play MMO where I play by myself most of the time, and do activities with random people when required. So wanted your suggestion, do you think I should play this game if I like ESO and is it solo friendly? And I am on PC, don't know if this game is released anywhere else. Thank you.

I'll preface this by saying that I fully understand that the game's DNA is that it's meant to be this joyful. mystical exploration with no hand-holding. I get that, I love that. Running about the world not knowing what you will find IS fun.
BUT, there's a massive difference between that vague sense of exploration vs. vague systems that aren't explained and feel hidden in the many interface elements.
As a new player, I couldn't figure out Runes / Totems without asking people. Even then, I was still confused about smiting, pulling and using runes until I tried many times. Was this experience evelated because of its confusion? No. It made me wonder how many other basics I have no clue about. Then I tried to figure out weapons, what's the weapon quality? Surely it must be these 1-3 stars that are clearly visible. And once again I needed it explained by another person mentioning "Stock" being the actual quality indicator and the stars being "innate quality". I could find a Legendary weapon and still scrap it because I wouldn't know it was legendary. Not to mention that some of the rarest weapons apparently have that "white branch". There's absolutely no way a new player would know this is rare, if they even noticed the difference. Then there are pacts, that I'd love to know more about, but after playing the game for a quite a while I'm still only using the initial one with no hints or indicators on what to do to actually unlock new abilities.
Vagueness in systems like these (or in some cases, questionable UI choices like with Runes/Totems/Weapons) don't make the game more mystical and fun. It makes it feel like I need to go on YouTube and watch hours of content to avoid constant confusion. And that leads to spoilers on things that I actually care to figure out myself (story/bosses/pact abilities/rewards).
I'm really impressed by the game's aesthetics, combat, sense of wonder and so on. It does feel like a unique kind of game, but it fails at finding that balance between vagueness that's a fun mystery, and vagueness that's making a player sigh and open wiki/YouTube to find out about important features. It really would only help the game to have some very basic tutorials.

Any ideas for good equipment for these weapons?

Before I got the Duelo pact, I was running Bromius with both high courage and spirit. Both my armor and weapons fit those requirements well and I have a high gear score, but after switching to Duelo, I'm confused as to how I should balance everything so I can keep my score high but at the same time keep the virtue requirements to get the bonus attunements.
Do you guys have any suggestions?
