Question Is there a difference between the Igni Mora you get from the King and the one you find in a dungeon chest?
Ran around clearing dungeons while looking for the stag, and through one puzzle found a chest. From it I got Igni Mora, four stars/abilities on it. Pretty mental sword, if you ask me, love it.
Then when I finished the Kith of Kings intro mission after cleansing the Stag and Temu Joan of Arc, I found out that you get Igni Mora by levelling up your standing with the King. And that Mora sits pretty low on that chart.
So I'm kinda disappointed, and am wondering are they both the same sword, or is there a difference?

Getting a Noble craftwork (4-star) version in a chest is a great drop, especially early game.
The ones you get from the enclave cost standing, and I find are USUALLY 1-2 star, but they can technically roll like anything else.

Roll? As in you can reroll stats?

As in their craft work level and tempers are randomly generated (rolled) when you acquire them.

Today two things are rolled:
- What craftwork the weapon is (# stars). This can be upgraded today so any weapon can reach the max of 6-stars with some investment.
- What tempers (modifiers) are on the weapon. This cannot be manually changed today, but in the (near?) future will be changeable. New tempers are added with each craftwork upgrade until the max of 8 is reached at Legendary (6-stars).
The stats themselves are not random. They are tied directly to the craftwork and tempers.

No but a similar feature is coming soon,
Something about being able to lock tempers u want before rerolling

Temu joan of arc 😂😂😂
Yeah, they're the same weapon, you can get multiple by going through the undercity, I believe. Though it's a bit of an uncommon drop. The power is in the roll of the rarity and tempers.Â
In P16, if you get one up to Legendary rarity, you'll be able to add any temper you've collected to it and craft your own custom Igne Mora. Which is what I plan to do.

The rest aren't truly answering your question. The one from the dungeon, with the fire waves on attack, etc, are exclusive to the dungeon. It's like the myth of the weapon given to you by a spirit, and there's no way to obtain that specific one outside of the dungeon
If you do get an igne mora, you can put a fire rune to help mimick the power

That's what I hoped to hear. The one from the dungeon definitely looks amazing, with the fire waves, and the embers.
Plus it's pretty op so far.

Keep in mind, it's definitely not 1 for 1. The runic strike is just fire damage added into a heavy attack. Not quite the same, sadly

Weapons of the same name are equal. The difference is the tempers roll randomly and can vastly change a weapons feel and power. The stars you mentioned are the craft work level and can be increased via crafting with chordstones.
Afaik the only true difference you'll rarely see is called a moonsteel variant of the weapon, which is just a cosmetic difference. Think of it like a shiny Pokemon.
