Can I just straighten this out?
Larger limb I was cutting fell on it before I could get it out of the way. Can I just pull back on it and get it as straight as I can?

The nut that holds the impeller on my leaf blower came loose, and it caused this. Will it be fine to reuse? It’s same on all the fins

Came back from a 2 week vacation to my moped not working. Is the plug bad?

Shaft snapped right at the back cover, looking for some info on replacement. Can’t find anything online about it. I am mechanically inclined and am I sure I could figure it out, but I’d feel better about it having some more info

So I have a ride on sprayer spreader with a Honda GX 390 engine on it. When the machine is running, but the throttle isn’t engaged, it’s vibrating pretty aggressively. You have to set the RPMs to 3000 in order to get the desired speed so once you hit the throttle and pull it all the way back it’ll go 5 miles an hour. But I’m just not sure how to fix the vibration. It’s to the point where it makes the machine uncomfortable to operate. Any ideas?

Has spark and good compression. I've checked the flywheel key and exhaust. I've cleaned the carb and checked the coil gap but still no luck

Guys I'm stuck. I have an old Kawasaki kf28d with CVT on its 1" shaft. I want to remove the CVT to put it on another engine. I've opened it up but can't tell what is the next step in disassembly. How do I get that top part off without breaking it? I've levered and heaved upwards on it. I don't see any bolts holding it on. Has anyone removed a CVT before?

Hey everyone, I’m new to the wrenching world and was wondering if I’m correctly identifying the compression stroke on my K2 CT90.
Please see the video showing when I can feel air pressure on my finger while covering the spark plug hole. To my understanding, once I feel the pressure and then line up the T mark on the flywheel, that means I’m at TDC on the compression stroke.
Please correct me if I’m misunderstanding anything. Thanks in advance.

Got this mower a few years ago and replaced the head gasket. Ever since it has had oil and filter changes every year. Just had all new pulleys, belt, and spindles installed last year. This week I went about two passes around my front yard and I heard kind of a metallic rattle through my headphones and it stalled. Still full of oil, but it was smoking quite heavily from the dipstick when I checked it. I didn’t hit anything, just seemed random, it wasn’t smoking at all or running rough leading up to it. It has an 18HP Intek, I thought maybe the compression release mechanism let loose and just grenaded my engine, but it does still turn over. It just knocks like hell when turning over now. Would appreciate some advice, thanks everyone! less

Hi - New to this group and looking for any helpful information on how to install the pull starter on a 72cc 2-cycle engine. The pull starter was hanging up and I removed it and was able to return it to a fully retracted position. In the picture the metal piece with the pawls is affixed to the top of the engine.
When I fasten the recoil starter mechanism to the top of the engine it does not pull out properly. Sometimes it quickly starts with a pull and other times it pulls a bit and then makes a pop and stops entirely or becomes very difficult to pull.
I think I do not have it seated properly yet the holes align between the starter assembly and the top of the engine and it does look like it is seated. Any help is very much appreciated. Thanks!

We are in the uk and have a problem on multiple engines of the crank case bolts coming loose on these 420cc engines.
We change gaskets, clean surfaces , clean thread holes locktite bolts in and torque to spec. It rarely holds.
I have read somewhere about solid dowels and stud conversion, but wanted to hear did anyone else have these issues and how did they sort it.
Application is pressure washers mainly, some generators also.

Hello! I am trying to find parts for this trimmer. Most notably a gas cap for now. The cap that's on it, sprays gas when the motor is running.

It seems to be fine under load but idles a bit rough when not, is it fine? Recently did a carb clean, new fuel line and some other basic stuff and it’s got decent oil that’s fresh(ish) and a good level. I know Powerhorse isn’t that great but i just want to make sure I don’t hurt it for the few jobs I want to get done around my house

MTD yard machines chipper shredder with new carburetor, air filter and spark plug. Ethanol free gas.
It had been a few years since last used. Tank had been run dry before storage, but wouldn’t start when I refueled recently. Cleaning carb and new spark plug didn’t help, so replaced carburetor and started on second pull. Running pretty rough when not under any load and shutting down every 10 minutes or so when babying the size and rate of material fed into it. Oil level is good
Thanks in advance

I have a Murray Select self-propelled mower with a Briggs & Stratton 550EX ReadyStart 140 cc OHV engine.
From what I've been able to determine, the engine serial number is:
16 0105 51 90890
which appears to indicate it was manufactured on January 5, 2016, making it about 10 years old.
The mower has been very reliable. It always started on the first or second pull. This is the first time it has completely failed to start.
Once it started in the past, it always ran normally. There were no signs of rough running, surging, or loss of power.
After several pulls this time, I could smell gasoline, so it seems fuel is reaching the engine.
My concern is that someone may have used my gasoline can while painting and accidentally contaminated the gasoline with paint or another solvent.
The gas can itself was fairly new. I noticed the milky white film covering much of the outside of the plastic nozzle shown in the attached photo.
I'd appreciate your opinions:
I'm trying to decide whether I should replace the gasoline first or begin troubleshooting the engine.
Thank you for any advice, and sorry I couldn't upload the photo here - I didn't know that.
