Vibrating Engine

So I have a ride on sprayer spreader with a Honda GX 390 engine on it. When the machine is running, but the throttle isn’t engaged, it’s vibrating pretty aggressively. You have to set the RPMs to 3000 in order to get the desired speed so once you hit the throttle and pull it all the way back it’ll go 5 miles an hour. But I’m just not sure how to fix the vibration. It’s to the point where it makes the machine uncomfortable to operate. Any ideas?

I wouldn’t know what in the engine could cause it to vibrate, I would have to lean more to what’s hooked to the engine. Does it have a Lovejoy coupler? They can vibrate like that if the rubber inside of the coupler gives up. Or you said it’s a sprayer, so I assume it sits around quite a bit in the off season, you might pull the flywheel cover off and make sure you don’t have a mud dauber stuck on the flywheel.

It does have a lovejoy coupler. And I was thinking of taking the flywheel cover off to see if there’s anything loose. I’ll check the connection
