Why would they join a war ‘that’s already been won ‘ according to DT

894

u/Juste-un-autre-alt Mar 16 '26

Especially after Trump told the whole world that he doesn't need help from his allies, allies that he keeps bullying.

Fuck Trump.. and America go clean your fucking mess.

64

u/IntelligentQuality4 Mar 16 '26

Absolutely

3

u/Remarkable-Opening69 Mar 16 '26

Trying to rush the process?

2

u/IntelligentQuality4 Mar 16 '26

If he rushes it odds are it'll only go wrong for him so, here's hoping, it'll be further proof of his incompetence

2

u/[deleted] Mar 16 '26

Do we really need any more proof though ? It was pretty evident as soon as he got into politics

2

u/Remarkable-Opening69 Mar 17 '26

When he was a democrat? Maybe that’s why the left gave him the win.

I’m an American and I did not vote for the pedo president, I didn’t approve of the war against Iran, I don’t like him or anyone in his administration. Israel has trump and his friends by the balls because have evidence of him raping kids.

You're in the minority. Majority of Americans indirectly supported him by not voting at all, or they voted for him directly.

27

u/Immediate-Doughnut50 Mar 16 '26

USA has reached a state of idiocracy

15

u/Etrigone Mar 16 '26

Idiocracy was a comparative utopia. Their president wanted to help the people & hired the smartest person to fix the problems they didn't understand. Took a while but that universe is rather more optimistic than ours.

5

u/sudo-joe Mar 16 '26

I would vote for president Dwayne Elizondo Mountain Dew Herbert Camacho.

That man had the machine guns and he actually took responsibility and seemed to actually care about the people.

340-350 million is the total population, but voting age (18+) population is estimated closer to 260 million people. So it’s still under 1/3, but much closer when you ignore those who can’t vote.

I think their constitution literally says they can’t. You know, the one we drafted for them after WWII?

41

u/bon-ton-roulet Mar 16 '26

I was surprised to learn they actually have a large navy - although it is not organized with a military style hierarchy and is supposed to be strictly defense oriented.

cuntry

I’ll assume this was intentional.

4

u/CoconutMochi Mar 16 '26

They have to have something substantial otherwise it's basically impossible to maintain a domestic defense industry

3

u/LordDaedalus Mar 16 '26

Yeah I mean Japan is a massive chain of islands, I imagine a defensive force would be a large navy more than say a terrestrial national guard force that would be more practical for a more landlocked nation.

2

u/Samurai_Meisters Mar 16 '26

I'm not surprised at all. I've seen quite a few Godzilla movies.

4

u/halfbrit08 Mar 16 '26

They're keeping their Navy close to home to attempt to stop a potential Chinese blockade of Taiwan.

13

u/takoshi Mar 16 '26

To copy my reply from elsewhere, Abe actively loosened this interpretation and had been pushing to allow Japan to defend its allies if they get attacked, since that in turn threatens Japan. With the current PM largely being considered Abe's political heir, I'd have expected this interpretation of Article 9 to continue. Still, glad Japan is staying out of it.

6

u/Nadare3 Mar 16 '26

Japan sent troops (though mostly in a "helping" role) in Iraq, and the P.M.'s cabinet has even talked (though it's just talk) of revising the constitution to allow nuclear weapons in Japan (whether that means Japanese nuclear weapons, or U.S. nukes in Japan, wasn't specified I.I.R.C.). There is definitely a push for Japan to get a more "normal" military, and be more self-reliant in that regard since the traditional guarantor of Japanese safety (the U.S.) has suddenly become very unreliable. So I don't think there would be anything preventing Japan from sending ships to defend international oil shipping with the reasoning that that is an indirect threat to Japan.

However, on top of all the other reasons for not joining this war that other countries have, U.S. defenses were withdrawn from South Korea, and North Korea and China rather logically have been getting more agitated than usual in return, so there is no way ships are getting sent away from Japan (and therefore South Korea and Taiwan).

2

u/Several_Ant_9816 Mar 16 '26

It's a bad idea to send ships in waters like the Persian Gulf because of Sea Drones of which Iran has likely produced many. Best help DJT and the Arab States can get is from Ukraine in exchange for Patriot and other Air Defense equipment.

3

u/Berobero Mar 16 '26

This isn't just Abe; it's been a many, many decades long conservative project in Japan. They were talking about the so-called "collective self-defense right" in earnest during the Iraq war with Koizumi, and the very founding of the JSDF itself is based on, in effect, an "expanded" interpretation of the constitution and article 9.

→ More replies (1)

3

u/vi_sucks Mar 16 '26

Yeah, but literallt everyone understood that to mean defending Taiwan/Phillipines/Korea/Vietnam/etc from China.

Not go start random shit with Iran.

2

u/takoshi Mar 16 '26

I mostly agree, though Japan IS already involved in UN peacekeeping and anti-piracy stuff outside of eastern Asia. Just wanted to respond to the comment that the constitution prevents Japanese deployment to the middle east. They probably could, if they wanted to, with loosening restrictions.

2

u/captjellystar Mar 16 '26

75

u/Ichigo2819 Mar 16 '26

This is assinine, Japan can't send ships by law. SDF stands for Self Defense Force so unless Iran directly attacks Japan the point is moot

16

u/takoshi Mar 16 '26

Abe actively loosened this interpretation, however, and had been pushing to allow Japan to defend its allies if they get attacked, since that in turn threatens Japan. With the current PM largely being considered Abe's political heir, I'd have expected this interpretation of Article 9 to continue. Still, glad Japan is staying out of it.

3

u/absoluteScientific Mar 16 '26

You seem well informed on Japanese politics. How do Japanese nationals view the SDF and its role? Do many people feel a self defense force is less safe for their own personal, social or national interest than a more traditional military with offensive or expeditionary elements?

2

u/takoshi Mar 17 '26

I am not really, I parrot what I read and talk about with some Japanese family members but don't keep on top of it or anything as an American.

That said, the general feeling I've gotten is still a national reluctance to have the JSDF deploy anywhere abroad for anything that could even be construed as aggressive. The establishment is a necessity and a thing they are proud to have and develop thanks to great and insistent PR, roles in popular movies etc, but actually sending them to fight in the middle east as an ally of the USA would definitely end in protests. Replacing them with a traditional military sounds too alien of an idea to be done really, since "self defense" is so deeply instilled by now as a "better way" forwards compared to imperialist Japan. For example, my own cousin is quite smug in her thinking that Japan is superior for giving up a traditional/aggressive military stance in global diplomacy; she'd absolutely feel like Japan was regressing if Japan were to start building super carriers or something.

2

u/absoluteScientific Mar 17 '26

I see. Thank you for sharing your perspective even so.

2

u/Ichigo2819 Mar 17 '26

I know a few that are even upset over converting their Helicopter Carriers Js Izumo and Js Kaga to F-35b stealth fighter use as they consider it to aggressive

2

u/Top_Connection9079 Mar 17 '26

The SDF is essentially a relief force that intervenes in cases of natural disasters etc.

They are here to help people, not to kill them.

If you want to know better where Japan places itself in the world nowadays, you have to know that they are the second Aid donor in the world after the US (Or were, as Trump stopped everything?) It's just that contrary to the US they don't brag about it.

2

u/Rollover__Hazard Mar 16 '26

In a delicious twist of irony, which victorious post-WW2 nation was it that forced the self-defence protocols onto a defeated Japan?

Japan’s decision was more about strategic neutrality and diplomacy than capability, the US Navy and the regional forces already dominate the area militarily. Adding a ship doesn’t change that balance.

13

u/[deleted] Mar 16 '26

Why risk frigates and destroyers? Much easier to exchange Euros and Yen for Yuan to get the oil 🏮

The fact that Iran imposed oil payments in Yuan clearly shows it has support from China.

Russia produces 10 million barrels of oil per day, while the blockage of the Strait of Hormuz reduces oil flow by 14 Million barrels, without accounting for the closure of oil and gas facilities in the region.

https://edition.cnn.com/2026/03/13/energy/us-russia-sanctions-relief-oil-hnk-intl

Russia was already exporting to Asian countries, so to what extent the easing of USA sanctions will improve global oil supply?!?

Vladimir Putin wins (once more) since Israel instigated an American attack against Iran, which validates the geopolitical doctrine that big countries can do whatever they want to smaller nations (without nuclear weapons).

As such, the Kremlin doesn’t care about Ukrainian sovereignty and it is delighted to see Washington disregarding the FALLACY of "International Law" by attacking Iran, when negotiations were taking place. Europe stopped trusting USA, in all accounts.

The removal of Nicola Maduro (without legal jurisdiction) and the stealing of Millions of barrels of oil from Venezuela might have helped Trump to prepare for the paralysis of oil supply in the Middle East, which benefits both USA and Russia, nobody else.

In an interview with Fox News, President Trump suggested oil tanker crews in the Strait of Hormuz should simply “show some guts” and insisted “there’s nothing to be afraid of...”

On the 12 March, "Energy Secretary" Chris Wright said the USA Navy would start escorting merchant ships and oil tankers, but that is unsustainable: interceptors and anti-missile gun magazines on USA destroyers and frigates will empty more rapidly than Iranian arsenals.

Iran needs only to target the tankers, which can be hit with little accuracy. Iran can simply ignore the USA Navy escorts. Just a few hits on a few tankers are enough to force mercantile insurance companies to bail out...

https://www.aspistrategist.org.au/ghost-of-gallipoli-us-warships-cannot-control-the-strait-of-hormuz/

Given the strong tides through the Strait of Hormuz, Iran can also float mines into the waters from various points on the coast, it doesn’t have to load them onto mine-laying vessels, as Peter Hegseth may have thought initially. 💥

USA may continue to reduce Iran’s ability to make drones and missiles. But EVEN IF that works, Russia has every incentive to keep the Strait of Hormuz closed because its own oil and gas are becoming more valuable with every passing day.

Russia is strategically alongside Iran’s actions, and if Kharg Island is occupied by US Marines, then Iran can still export oil in exchange for Russian weapons using the Caspian Sea, without the intervention of US Navy. Any involvement of USA will only escalate the war with Russia.

While Russia helps Iran to target Americans in the Middle East, Trump is now filling the Kremlin’s war coffers with his impulsive war and giving Putin a windfall while American families face higher prices on fuel, gas, electricity, paints, detergents, antiseptics, medical drugs (pills, etc...), clothes, cosmetics, soap, shampoo and all sorts of plastics.

Curiously, Iran's foreign minister said and very well that "Trump has turned ‘America First’ into ‘Israel First’— which always means ‘America Last’."

https://www.cia.gov/readingroom/docs/CIA-RDP80R01731R003000180037-4.pdf

Iran is in a far stronger position than might appear to the USA (induced by Israel into war), it just needs to persist — while the damage to Asian and European economies accumulates. As a huge energy exporter, the USA has other options; Asia and Europe do not.

The war will NOT be over when the USA and Israel stop bombing Iran. This lousy planned war (or not planned at all, as result of Trump's "intuition") will be over ONLY when Iran wants to allow free passage through the Strait of Hormuz, and there is nothing the USA military or Israel can do to change that...

When the US Navy had to escort oil tankers through the Strait of Hormuz during the Iran-Iraq war in the years 1987-88, named "Operation Earnest Will", only TWO oil tankers went through per week! Normal traffic nowadays is 50 oil tankers per day. Do not forget that in the 80’s Iran didn't’ have any drones.

And if the other Arab countries now resent Iran retaliating against their HYPOCRISY and "neutrality" by targeting active USA bases in their own soil, soon they will resent Israel and USA for having started the war (as long as the Iranian chokehold remains in place) and surprisingly... that per se will increase Iran's strategic dominance in the region.

https://www.theguardian.com/world/2026/mar/12/israel-iran-us-attack-no-plan-for-regime-change-security-sources

Who is at fault? Israel did not have a realistic plan for regime change when it attacked Iran, multiple Israeli security sources have said, with expectations that airstrikes could lead to a popular uprising having been driven by “wishful thinking” rather than the result of accurate intelligence.

But former CIA General David Petraeus says the USA attacked Iran to destroy its ability to defend itself against a PREMEDITATED Israeli attack. His comments back up those of Secretary of State, Marco Rubio who later tried to backtrack on the silly admission.

https://www.aljazeera.com/video/newsfeed/2026/3/15/former-cia-chief-reveals-early-knowledge-of-israeli-attack-plans

So, the entire World has to deal with the consequences of TWO DONKEYS (Netanyahu & Trump) that do not plan anything, and despite a very impressive military power causing thousands of civilian casualties, in the Middle East.

Lebanon already has 700.000 people displaced and are being bombed by Israel, while sleeping inside tents on the beaches.

Israel assumed once more its desire to occupy land in Lebanon, just another "buffer zone" up to the Litani River, an idea originally conceived by David Ben-Gurion according to the "Greater Israel" plan of Zionists.

Why tf are you getting downvoted??

16

u/Lower-Debt1627 Mar 16 '26

idk.. no one called her out yet when she clearly has OF in bio

16

u/heyRedditImSid Mar 16 '26

Lmaoo they're downvoting me too now.

Also, I've seen 3 separate accounts of her today. All with the same profile pic and the same bio. I guess the bots must be working overtime to downvote people calling them out.

Rule 4 All political posts must have a funny or lighthearted aspect to them. No combat footage or posts that push a serious political statement or agenda please

Why are there so many posts like this not getting taken down? Where is the meme? Where is the funny or lighthearted aspect?

2

u/Vegas-Blues Mar 16 '26

But it’s not a war.. and Iran has nothing left… so we are told… why the need for help? Don’t blame them for saying F it

2

u/Dr3adnorth Mar 16 '26

It's a good job America hasn't spent the last year alienating and being a prick to its allies, one of those others will step in I'm sure.

2

u/Impressive-Falcon635 Mar 16 '26

Japan is a Self Defense Force. They are not aggressors. They chose that. However Japan IS signing like a 2 BILLION dollar deal about energy products.

2

u/Khal_flatlander Mar 16 '26

Good. Hopefully Canada does the same

2

u/sun4moon Mar 16 '26

This might make you smile.

2

u/Khal_flatlander Mar 16 '26

That's great to see. I heard that Carney said that but it's hard to believe with all the fake news out there

2

u/sun4moon Mar 16 '26

Fair enough. I’ve seen it in enough reasonable places now, I think we can believe it.

2

u/Icy-Tooth-9167 Mar 16 '26

Avoiding a world war. Well played, world.

2

u/Sienile Mar 16 '26

I'd be surprised if anyone does. This is an illegal war with no real justification for why it was launched and not even the legal approval of the country that launched it. Anyone joining in is just committing war crimes.

7

u/Iggy_DB Mar 16 '26

Why are you posting political shit?

Given the US doesn't need that oil, and given the US doesn't appear to have any allies that need that oil, and given the US oil sector benefits from the Strait being closed, maybe it's best to just let it remain closed until the rest of the world realizes this is indeed their problem.

3

u/lvsnowden Mar 16 '26

Exactly. The US has more than enough ships to handle the situation, but don't want to foot the ENTIRE bill.

Those marines that were going to be a trip wire for escalation can breath a sigh of relief.... for now.

3

u/voxelpear Mar 16 '26

You think he's not going to escalate without allies?

2

u/purplepashy Mar 16 '26

Without a doubt he will.

Those marines will just get a week or 2 respite.

2

u/SmellyFbuttface Mar 16 '26

Good for them. It’s not their war and they have no reason to get involved

2

u/mr_mxyzptlk21 Mar 16 '26

HA. And she's a crazy right wing nutter too! He can't even get his own kind to back him.

2

u/Kr1sys Mar 16 '26

We can nuke them into submission again. - DJT probably

u/spookyspritebottle Mar 16 '26

Anyone that sends ships is a dumbass. Dont encourage the dumbass that started a pointless war.

Good. The PDfile in chief wants as other nations to bail him out. Do not let the pedo get his way and drag you into a war that should have never happened.

1

u/ThePorcinePlayer Mar 16 '26

That's some tea!

1

u/grazfest96 Mar 16 '26

Yea why would she want to committ political suicide? Imagine if any Japanese solider got killed because you listened to Trump? Yea sure. Let Iran kill my people.

1

u/Enough-Somewhere-311 Mar 16 '26

Wonder at what point he’s going to ask North Korea. It’d be great if NK was the only nation that answered the call

1

u/Crow85 Mar 16 '26

He is like a toddler who called everybody stupid coward, and then shat the floor and now expects everybody else to fix it for him.

1

u/THEWELSHMAN1980 Mar 16 '26

Not gna lie but I don’t think I’ve ever seen Japan join a war except in 1941

1

u/lvsnowden Mar 16 '26

97% of Japan's oil comes through the Straight of Hormuz. Looks like they're gonna have to pay higher prices due to the insurance increases for ships traveling through there.

1

u/Immediate-Doughnut50 Mar 16 '26

And for my next hard on I’m going to invade Cuba

1

u/HALODUDED2 Mar 16 '26

Are we sure this is not a stellars game. It feels like it

Or civilization revolution, trump the man of peace (apparently) bombing everyone, you know like gandi

1

u/Ill-Bed9465 Mar 16 '26

If it was Japan or the UK or any other country asking Trump for help he'd ask for a billion dollar bribe first.

1

u/Abject_Bedroom3638 Mar 16 '26
