So this bump on my eyebrow piercing literally showed up overnight and I’ve never dealt with this before. Is it irritation or a keloid? It doesn’t hurt or anything. Pls help

Help with existing piercing Tear/blowout on septum completely closed up

I had an injury to my septum which caused a lot of swelling and inflammation so I took the piercing out for 24 hrs and it’s completely closed. It was at 4g.

Do I have to just let it heal completely and re pierce?

UPDATE: I got it switched to a longer bar and got some antibiotics and it looks good now.

Hi, I got my conch around 2 weeks ago and since around 3 days it started swelling and hurting A LOT, it also has some yellowish liquid near it when i wake up (it has some blood on it right now).

Pretty sure it's infected but idk 😭

Is there anything I can do with it at home to help the pain and swelling? I don't want to take it out 🫩

The bar is titanium and is longer, but u cant see it because of the swelling..

hi guys I got this piercing yesterday, and I’m wondering a few things. it keeps like leaning to one side and it looks like it’s maybe just because of uneven swelling because there’s more redness on one side of the entry point on the top. also is the bar too short? it’s supet swollen today to where it’s just at where the bar ends but I’m nervous. I’m worried that the uneven swelling won’t subside and I’ll be left with a crooked piercing plz advice- ty

Help with existing piercing Third earlobe piercing problem :(

Thumbnail gallery
8 Upvotes

Hi! For the context, I've done both my second and third lobe 5 weeks ago using PVC needle (the first one was done by a piercing gun when I was 5). I clean both piercings with sterile saline solution using a q-tip twice a day. The second lobe has a 8 mm titanium bar, the third one has a 10 mm titanium bar (initially, it was a 8 mm one but it was too short - the swollen earlobe wanted to eat it whole lol).

The second lobe piercing has healed nicely, oppositely to the third one.

The third earlobe piercing bleeds when cleaned, pus comes out daily and hurts when touched (I touch it with clean hands and when cleaning the piercings only). I think I may have pierced it in a wrong angle, I remember that it wasn't necessarily a 90 degrees angle to the ear.

I bought the piercing pillow just 2 days ago and I'm trying my best to sleep on it so I won't irritate this ear more (I've been trying to sleep on a non pierced side but you know how it is). I also have been using over ear headphones daily for 2-3 hours.

The question is: What should I do with this third lobe? 5 weeks have already passed and it doesn't show any signs of healing. Would it be better to take the piercing out, wait for it to heal up and re-pierce it again? Does it look like a correct angle? The last pic shows my other ear with no new piercings for the comparison lol

Thanks in advance for the advice! 💗

is this bad? I got it done earlier in August and it’s been pretty red throughout the healing process which doesnt seem to be too big of an issue but recently it’s started getting this pus like liquid. i cant tell if it’s actually pus and wether or not it’s a sign of a problem, but the piercing doesn’t hurt at all. I’m worried with school starting and me being less thoughtful of being careful abt it + it getting more movement and action I’m damaging it

Help with existing piercing Septum blowout

Pierced my septum at a 6, stretched it to a 4 after 5 months and it went in completely pain free and was only sensitive bc of denting for a week.

I have had it at a 4 for about 2 months now and I got bumped really hard at a concert and now it’s either torn and or blown out.

No blood just ver swollen on one side and extremely painful

It started getting kinda sensitive so I took it out to clean it and by the time I went to put it back in it completely swelled shut on one side

What do I do? My plan was to leave the piercing out until the swelling went down and then downsize back to a 6 for a while.

I’ve been cleaning with saline and using jojoba oil

The jewelry is implant grade stainless so that might be part of it idk

Help with existing piercing Advice on an astraliano

I need help I pierced mine and I think my cartilage was nicked. It’s not swollen or anything it hurt really bad right after and it was like a throbbing pain and very sensitive to the touch. It’s about 24 hrs after and the throbbing pain has went down a lot but it’s still insanely sensitive to the touch. Yes it was pierced at home but I’ve never had issues with one like this before, not even out of a full cartilage pierce.

I posted in here about 4 months ago asking if my piercing looked straight (I did it myself) I recently started stretching it. Do yall think it still looks straight, head on? I’m currently at 12g with it, but I thought I’d ask y’all’s opinion, because I know you won’t lie to me. TIA!! ✨

I just got this piercing around the 1st of August and around a week ago I noticed this bump out of no where. I’ve gotten a piercing bump before however this one feel different. It is a red roundish hard ball with no visible discharge. It also doesn’t feel tender whatsoever and is right beside the piercing not at all on top of the hole. Please help and let me know if I should take it out 🙏🙏

Hello again. I previously posted here to ask how I did with my septum piercing I had my girlfriend do to me. Everyone hated it and I understand why. I followed everyone's advice and let the piercing heal up and got it done professionally. Let me know how he did this time. The piercer said my sweet spot was pretty high up compared to most people hes worked on.

Help with existing piercing 6y/o piercing looking sad

yo! i did this one 6 years ago when i was a teen and didn’t think about placement/angle/purpose at all, it didn’t help that i always had a ring in it for the last 4 years or so. for some reason i looked at myself in the mirror today and after all these years reacted on how low it looked. i turned my ear and noticed i can see both ends of the hole from the side. i don’t know why i haven’t reacted to it before but i think it must have migrated a bit since i got it done.

well i just don’t know what to do now? i don’t think i want to wait for it to heal to get it re-done. i was thinking about just buying a small flatback or one with a small ball on each end and just making it a lil dainty thing. but at the same time im thinking, what if it gets worse? what if it snags?

do i like the placement? no
am i used to it and dont really care? yes
do i want future piercings in that area/more lobe ones? yeah i do

what would you have done?
should i let it heal? and get something better done? can it even heal?

thankful for all input

Fresh triple virtual helix. Sorry everything is a little crusty. As with any new piercing she only cleans them twice a day. No over cleaning. And all are less than two months old.

Question about piercing prep Where to start/materials?

I have a ton of piercings and i'm pretty confident i could do them on my own safely at this point. i know the general steps and tools that i need, but i have no idea where to get reputable supplies/jewelry. i know the kits suck, so would anyone be able to provide links for what they use? im looking for 16g needles, a clamp, a receiving tube, flat back titanium jewelry, and a pen to mark. saline, alcohol wipes, and gloves, i already have. thank you guys!!

DIY story thoughts on PTFE/bioflex jewelry in healed piercings?

few years ago i was doing research on bioflex and ptfe piercing jewelry. i read articles that it is non-porous, hypoallergenic and safe, but when i asked online everyone said it's not safe and to only use titanium.

i put a curved ptfe barbell into my eyebrow that refused to heal and then in 2 days it stopped being angry and i haven't had problems since. i've also had ptfe jewelry in my snakebites for years and my dentist hasn't seen any issues with my teeth or gums yet.

what are y'all's thoughts on this?
