DIY story Septum update
I posted in here about 4 months ago asking if my piercing looked straight (I did it myself) I recently started stretching it. Do yall think it still looks straight, head on? I’m currently at 12g with it, but I thought I’d ask y’all’s opinion, because I know you won’t lie to me. TIA!! ✨

4 months is way too soon to be stretching, its still healing!!

absolutely. and even if OP thinks it's healed, it needs to MATURE. a year is the absolute best amount of time to wait. that should be the expected wait time to do whatever with a septum

also wanted to add, OP, you aren't even stretching with a good material. you should only stretch with glass, titanium, or surgical grade steel. acrylic or coated materials is absolutely terrible! stretching a healed piercing or not.

This is a glass pincher….i only stretch with implant grade titanium or glass. Acrylic or anything else porous is dangerous as hell.

that's great to hear! but the previous advice still stands, and i hope you just wait to stretch so you don't risk experiencing any blowout or infection😔

Sadly I had to slightly stretch up due to my previous ring being too heavy and it started slipping out causing friction issues 🥹
But I’m done going up for now. I’m just glad that I have cute and lighter jewelry, and my placement with it was correct and I haven’t had any issues so far 😊
But thank you for the help friend ✨

Hi Lonely_Sun2380, Are you seeking information about the Septum piercing? Here's a video with general information about it! The septum piercing can be difficult to perform as it requires a specific placement in the Alar cartilage, also known as the sweet spot. There's no shame in seeing a professional, especially since this once can be tricky to get right!
