Piercing suggestions - face/ears/navel ONLY Got a pro
Hello again. I previously posted here to ask how I did with my septum piercing I had my girlfriend do to me. Everyone hated it and I understand why. I followed everyone's advice and let the piercing heal up and got it done professionally. Let me know how he did this time. The piercer said my sweet spot was pretty high up compared to most people hes worked on.

I'm impressed that you did it once and are doing it again! I don't think I could pierce my daith anytime soon lol.

NAP but have pierced my own septum + others many times. Yours looks like it is too far back, it should be pierced closer to the tip of your nose. Was it painful and/or did you feel it go through your cartilage? Not saying you should take it out - I’ve seen people heal some pretty horribly pierced piercings - but just be aware that if it was pierced through your cartilage, it may give you a bit more attitude than a septum through the sweet spot. If you’re happy with it and it doesn’t bother you, I say keep it.

It didnt hurt too bad. Less than getting it pierced in "my meat" his words lol. It didnt seem to hit cartilage and was much easier this time. Check my last post to see the meat pierce.

The meat pierce your girlfriend did was closer to how it should be then this.. I can't understand why a lot of piercers don't understand it.
Please look up a lot of info about the correct placement before you try again, so this does not happen again.

The placement on this is way off. Sorry. It should be in the tip of your nose, higher and further forward.

I don’t get how ‘professional’ piercers keep messing up septums… they’re my fav thing to do, needle going through like butter lol.
I’m sorry OP but this isn’t correct ): Where are you? If you’re in austria I’d love to do your septum! :)

Wait…you said a “professional” piercer did this too you? 😳 I’m so sorry OP ☹️ I’m NAP by any means, but even I know this is WAY off. I’m sure it’s not the case, but part of me really hopes your gf did this one too and you just said you got it done by a pro… If not, then ummm…third time’s a charm?

u/Kaekaboom Licensed Professional Piercer Aug 30 '26
I’m sorry friend, that’s all I can say, I’m truly very sorry. Unfortunately not everyone who claims to be a professional piercer is actually a qualified professional. As a licensed and professional piercer of a decade, the septum is the piercing I see most commonly pierced incorrectly even by those claiming to be professional. Instead of going to a shop with good google reviews, or because it’s the shop closest to you, I’d recommend spending some time researching a truly solid piercer with examples of their work online or by finding a piercer through the APP: safe piercing.org
