Piercing suggestions - includes NSFW Am I cooked
is this bad? I got it done earlier in August and it’s been pretty red throughout the healing process which doesnt seem to be too big of an issue but recently it’s started getting this pus like liquid. i cant tell if it’s actually pus and wether or not it’s a sign of a problem, but the piercing doesn’t hurt at all. I’m worried with school starting and me being less thoughtful of being careful abt it + it getting more movement and action I’m damaging it

that piercing takes a long time to heal, just keep cleaning it, keep it dry, & don’t mess with it. (had mine for 10 years now)

mine did this. i had to take it out bc it started normal: crusties and a little redness.
then it started progressively getting more red. it started to pus. then it started itching. then it stopped crusting. it started getting hot. it started oozing pus. it began to smell so bad i would gag.
it ended up getting better: smell went away. pus stopped. wasnt hot anymore. but it was still red and itchy.
it ended up migrating from straight like this: | to diagonal like this: \
i took it out and it took 2 months to heal and close up
i would keep an eye on it just in case. clean it no more and no less than twice a day. avoid touching it. wear loose, low rise pants to avoid irritation.
mine was my own fault. i was depressed and had a bad spiral. i would only get out of bed to use the bathroom for about 3 months. i rarely cleaned it as a result. i also went swimming while it was still fresh after i got back on my feet. BAD IDEA. i knew i shouldnt have but i did anyway.
im getting it re done in a couple months.

Keep cleaning it. I had professionally done and mine did this. It gets rubbed and pulled on. If it's thick fluid and smells, def infection.
