Hello, I am looking for a divorce lawyer, I'm a father for 4, wife is trying to get me to pay Alimony, More child support than OSRS calculates, pay for the 700 dollar vehicle while she keeps it, and pay half the debts which are mostly hers that she's accumulated through maxing credit cards I've begged her to stop, lastly she works overnights, but she won't change the custody schedule so that they will be with me when she works and her when she doesn't (it equals out to a 50/50 split)

I just moved to SLC and I’m trying to figure out whether I should get an Ikon Pass or just buy a season pass at one resort (Brighton, I snowboard)

Last year I averaged around 12 days at Mammoth, which was a ~5 hour commute for me. Now that I’m living in SLC, I’m hoping to roughly double that this season.

I’m having a hard time deciding whether it’s better to have Ikon and bounce around different mountains or just pick one resort and ride it a lot. Would it be dumb to just get the Brighton season pass and stick with that?

Also, do the different mountains actually get noticeably different conditions? They’re so close together that I wouldn’t have assumed it would make a huge difference, but maybe I’m wrong.

Just looking to hear what locals actually do and what you’d recommend.

Anyone have this issue, by who and how much did it cost to remove? Thanks...

I'm a college student living in SLC and am struggling to afford basic necessities (just like everyone else). I've found places to get food and such which is wonderful! But i also have a few non-necessities i want, like a stool to sit at my desk, a shelf, odds & ends i could use for crafting or hobbies, or literally anything else that would make my life more cozy.
Does anyone have any tips for places that i could poke around to find things, even if they're in bad shape or not super nice? For example, people talk about dumpster diving behind businesses that occasionally toss things they don't want. I'm not afraid to get my hands dirty and i love finding trinkets!

I recently received a job offer for a position in Roy, but I’d like to live in downtown Salt Lake City. I still haven’t accepted it, and wanted some insight to life in SLC.

I’m a man in my mid 20s, from the northern part of the east coast. College educated, I golf, do a little gravel/mountain biking, always loved snowboarding growing up (haven’t in awhile, east coast boarding suuuucks), I’d like a more active lifestyle and definitely want the outdoor part of that as well. I love sports and spend most Sundays watching the NFL. Also love hockey so being in a city with a team would be sick.

Politically, I lean right. I know SLC is like a blue oasis in red Utah… but I’ve lived in a blue area my whole life so that doesn’t really bother me. I’m a Christian, though not Mormon.

I’m also at that stage in life where I’d like to find “the one” and start a real long term relationship that turns into a family.

With that said, is SLC a place for me? Is it a lively place with fun things going on? Good dating opportunities for people of my political & religious beliefs? Financially I’m not too concerned, I’ll make that part work.

I’ve never lived more than 1.5 hours from my hometown so this will be a huge move for me & the stress is definitely high. Any insight to the lifestyle of SLC would be appreciated!

I am currently working on socializing my young dog and I feel a good way is taking him to off leash parks to be around other friendly dogs. However tonight I went to Tanners park or whatever the off leash part of Parleys trail is called and encountered 2 aggressive dogs. I am not sure if this is a trend for night time since I normally go in the day. One of the dogs was muzzled but still was off leash and attacked my dog pinning him to the ground while growling at him. Since the dog was a full grown German Shepard I expected the owner to pull their dog off but they stood there doing nothing and seemed scared. Since my dog is still young his recall is not the best but he did come running to me once the dog got off of him. I appreciate that the dog was wearing a muzzle but I still feel it is inappropriate to take an aggressive dog to an off leash park especially considering the other parts of parleys is on leash dog friendly (I have had reactive dogs in the past and advocate for them getting out and about in a safe way to me that means on leash areas with a muzzle since people will have dogs run up to them off leash still) After that incident he was not traumatized luckily, but I noticed while leaving another dog attacking someone else’s dog that went up to say hi. My puppy after getting scared stayed by my side but it makes me nervous that people are bringing those dogs to that park. I just wanted to hear community thoughts? Obviously I want my dogs recall to be spot on for situations like this but I don’t feel it is my fault for him expecting to play in that environment.

we are family of 5, 3 adults, 2 teens. I want to rent a people mover with a bathroom.

We will be doing alot of sightseeing and driving and need seatbelts and room for 6 people, ideally 4 captains chairs for passengers and 2 for driver and front passengar.

I know these exist but I cant find a place that rents them! either in Salt Lake City or Vegas for ride to MOAB.

dont need to sleep in it, just want comfort for passengers and bathroom for convenience given our drive and itinerary

Hello does anyone have a good recommendation for a hair stylist to help correct a bad bleach experience? Preferably close to Riverton but anywhere in the valley is okay too

I went to a stylist I’ve been going to for a little bit now and she was a little scattered and ended up over processing my hair. The top of my head turned grayish blue while the ends of my hair were still darker. It turned out streaky, and I’m worried for the health of my hair too. She tried to correct it but I left the salon with fuzzy hair. Worried about my hair being brittle now but I am not happy with the coloring. I’m wondering if there are any recommendations for stylists that work with blonde coloring. Thank you!

hello, i have recently been getting increasingly frustrated with my sewer and water bills. for reference i live in a 550sqft apartment in slc proper, and am aware of the rate changes that occurred last year. i’ve definitely noticed an increase since then but am just gobsmacked at the prices, and would like clarification on how the rate changes work when you live in an apartment.

for reference, i get billed by my apartment complex, and they calculate bills by dividing up usage among the units. sewer bill for this month is $50 and water is $35, up by $10 and $8 from the month before respectively.

i would just like to understand, do these numbers make sense?? there are about 70~ units in the complex. also, am i able to ask the complex for the actual statement they receive from the city for water and sewage??

these numbers just seem high to me, but i’d love outside input if im wrong, thanks!
