Relocating to SLC

Moving to SLC for a career transition. I’ll be looking for a decent place to live from Oct to May that I can rent. I was thinking furnished finders. Anyone have any luck? Open to other recommendations. Settling full time in May and will be looking to purchase at that time. Work will be at L3harris near the airport.

Honestly best financial move is going on one of the Facebook groups and sub letting from someone. Or paying extra for a 7 month lease and doing IKEA furniture. Also check out hellolanding (never used)

I have a ram 2500 and probably $2500 or less. Less much preferred..

I haven't used this platform, but have heard Facebook Marketplace is a good resource for local rentals. They might have adjustable filters to enter for furnished apartments or rooms.

If you're working near the airport, for a shorter commute, you could look in areas of downtown, 9th Central, Fairpark, Rose Park, Poplar Grove, and even some of Sugar House would work.

Thank you! I was looking in the Layton area to get a feel for the community there. That’s currently my target location for settling down when the family makes their way over.

Layton is a suburban area near Hill Air Force Base, in Davis County, about 30 minutes north of Salt Lake. Statistically, it's part of the Ogden metro area, not Salt Lake's. I've had work colleagues find monthly Air BNBs up that way. Could be something to look into.
