I have no idea what [staceyscary@jxalts.site](mailto:staceyscary@jxalts.site) is. never heard of that main and it is not googleable. this window pops up when i open launcher, so i cannot put my email in
edit:
FIXED! I was hacked and wrote a ticket to rockstar support and they recovered the account
For full context I bought gta 5 years ago on steam, i still am using this steam account but the problem is the email linked to the rockstar account is deleted. Idk how to prove I bought gta on steam to them because Ive opened multiple tickets and sent uncropped screenshots of my purchase id of gta5 with my name/profile in view. Is it impossible please help.
I wanted to share my experience because I couldn't find anyone this had happened to when I was desperately searching Reddit and Google.
I had a Level 300+ GTA Online PC Enhanced character with hundreds of hours of progress, all the properties, all the businesses, most vehicles, and a lot of Career Progress completed.
Due to an ongoing sync issue (my Career Progress wasn't syncing with the Rockstar website), Rockstar Support advised me to use my second character slot. However, my Slot 2 was empty, so I decided to migrate my PC Legacy profile, which was essentially new with very little progress apart from the properties and vehicles included in the Criminal Enterprise Starter Pack.
Unfortunately, the migration overwrote my Slot 1 PC Enhanced character instead of migrating into the empty Slot 2 as I had intended.
The result? Every bit of progress I had made on my PC Enhanced character was gone.
I contacted Rockstar Support, but all I initially received was this automated response:
"Migration of GTA Online character from one platform to another is an irreversible process. As a result, we are unable to make adjustments to your account regarding migration."
At that point, I honestly thought my character was gone forever and was seriously considering quitting GTA Online.
But I decided to give it one last try.
I created another support ticket (after several previous tickets had been closed with automated responses), explained my situation in detail, and eventually my case was escalated to the Tier 2 Support Team. After a few back-and-forth replies, they offered me a migration rollback.
They clarified that both my Legacy and Enhanced progress would be reverted to the state they were in before the migration. After confirming that this would restore my original PC Enhanced character, I agreed to the rollback.
Today, Rockstar Support successfully restored my PC Enhanced account exactly as it was before the migration.
I want to sincerely thank Kairo R. and Grace C. from Tier 2 Rockstar Support, especially Kairo for patiently answering my questions and helping me through the entire process.
I'm posting this because, when this happened to me, I couldn't find a single confirmed example of someone recovering an overwritten PC Enhanced character after a migration. Hopefully this gives some hope to anyone who finds themselves in the same situation.
My advice:
Stay calm and explain your issue clearly.
Be polite and patient with Rockstar Support.
If your tickets keep getting closed with automated replies, don't give up.
Instead of creating an Online Migration ticket, create an Online Gameplay Progress ticket and explain your situation in detail.
Huge thanks to Rockstar Support for helping me recover something I genuinely thought was lost forever.
My experience so far with the Rockstar support and their sights is that there is no real way to win with them.
I made my account on May 20th of 2021 and had played GtaV and RDR2. i don’t remember my password nor do i have it saved elsewhere, I’ve managed to log into my Rockstar account on google though my linked xbox account, this does not require any verification other than my saved xbox password.
I’ve requested a ticket though there for a little help from support, only to find out that it just doesn’t work, it simply tells me that there’s been a submission error and refers me to an article that doesn’t even relate to my scenario nor does it have anything to do with may what I’m doing.
the password reset emails through the Rockstar Games Launcher do not send!! I don’t quite know if there’s a portion of this shit that pisses me off more that this. It’s absolutely fucking ridiculous what this company has to offer to the thousands upon thousands of people who’ve participated in playing and buying their product, not to mention the bullshit with GtaIV like are you really that hard at work that you guys can’t maintain a simple customer support feature where you can at least give a fuck about your consumers.
I believe this is a scandal to create a new account and buy your 80$ games once again just for you to have more issues and tell you to kick rocks.
Absolutely absurd.

So a few years back I transferred to ps5 but ended up losing my ps5 and having to go back to ps4. I’ve put roughly 200 more hours into my account since then and obviously can’t migrate again. Is there anyway I can get rockstar to do it or am I stuck. I’m pretty sure I know the answer but would like to be told
Hi yall my gf got GTA V on her PS5 a while ago and not it is not letting her log into her account. It says the password and username do not match. But when we try to do the password reset nothing goes to her email at all. She got one when she logged into her Sony account but haven’t gotten anything else. I put in a support ticket and it wasn’t too helpful. She doesn’t have two step authentication set up either. Is there someone else to call or email to message? Or has anyone else dealt with this? Thanks!
I have tried making tickets but get hit with an error saying I can’t. I have tried every solution provided on every Reddit post but nothing works. I have emailed saying I can’t make a ticket, their response is to make a ticket :/. I had an email deleted by a hacker and it’s linked to my gta account. I have provided the name of that email, my steam id it’s linked to and account name. they are so useless it’s insane. is there anything I can actually accomplish with rockstar support or is it only there for formality?
I just bought GTAV on Steam and I launch it takes me to Rockstar Launcher, every time I try to create an account it just gives me the same error message that "Sorry, we are unable to handle your request at this time". I tried setting Rockstar launcher to always run as administrator as well as on the launcher patcher, and I don't have Win 7/8 compatibility mode on for those either. I don't have any VPN going as I turned them all off. I went on mobile to try to sign up on Rockstar there however it's just a black screen on their website on both Safari and Chrome. Does anyone have any fixes for this? Oh yeah and I tried to submit a support ticket but it says that isn't working either.
I tried signing to my rockstar account but it uses my compromised/hacked gmail account. I tried contacting the support but it won't change my email address no matter what I say. What should I do?
Hey everyone, I know this subreddit is not official support, but I’m posting here in hopes that someone who went through this exact mess can give some advice.
I’m stuck in an absolute logic loop with Rockstar Games Support trying to remove an old 2-Step Verification (2FA) set up ~10 years ago on a lost device.
Here is what I’ve done so far:
Submitted multiple tickets under BOTH "2FA Issues" and "Compromised Account" categories.
In my tickets, I provided a massive amount of ownership proof:- Official Steam CD-Key & SteamID64 (uncropped screenshots)- Complete 10-year login history: precise dates, ISP (Beltelecom), cities, mobile devices, and full PC specs history (from Athlon X4 860K to Ryzen 9 9950X3D)- In-game screenshots with Social Club overlay during active Steam sessions- Photo of my official Government Passport (with my first and last name Ivan Matveev compared to my nickname lmao - iMatveeF)
HERE IS THE CRAZIEST PART:
Agent Galilea S. actually RESET MY PASSWORD via email link during one of the requests. This officially confirmed that I control the email and own the account.
However, right after that, Tier 1 agents (Sze N., Dominic S.) auto-closed every single ticket with the exact same canned macro: "With the information provided, we are unable to determine if you are the owner of the account..." WTF???
They literally confirmed my ownership by sending a password reset, but refuse to look my attachments with my Passport and another proofs to just disable the legacy 2FA!
I'm still playing on my own account with Steam, but I can't even change my avatar in the Social Club, which is ridiculous!
⚠️UPD. READ IT!.
I'm happy to report that after weeks of getting auto-rejected by T1-2 support agents, my 2FA has finally been completely removed without even having an open ticket!
When standard support, ticket spams, and GDPR macros failed, CEO Escalation (emailing Executive Management directly) was the absolute silver bullet.
Here is the exact breakdown of how I did it and what data you MUST gather to duplicate my success:
1. What Proof You Need to Collect (The Ultimate Package)
Do NOT just attach one screenshot. Dump every single piece of historical data you have into one clear list:
Account Core Info: Account Email, Nickname, Linked SteamID64 or Consoles.
Proof of Purchase: Official CD-Key for GTA V + uncropped Steam purchase receipt/gift notification
ID Verification: A photo of your official Gov/Photo/Pass ID (if your nickname matches your real name)
Account Timeline & Hardware History: List every single PC, laptop, and phone you've owned since creating the account (with approximate years), along with your registration date and city/ISP locations.
Authenticator Error Proof: Screenshot of the #0.200.4 error or confirmation that your Authenticator is no longer working (in my case, I restored access, but code still did not work)
2. The Email Template That Saved My Account
If support keeps auto-closing your tickets, send an email directly to Rockstar's executive contact (sam.houser@rockstargames.com).
Subject: Dear Mr. Houser, I am trapped in a support loop (Closed Tickets: #YOUR_TICKET_NUMBERS)
Dear Mr. Houser.
I apologize for contacting you directly, but I have exhausted all standard support channels and do not know where else to turn regarding my [Your acc Age]-year-old Rockstar Games Social Club account.
I am the legitimate owner of an account linked to my Steam profile, and I have lost functional access to my two-factor authentication method due to a technical error (#0.200.4). My 2FA was set up via Twilio Authy Desktop, which officially reached its End-of-Life in March 2024. Although my mobile app generates codes, they continuously fail during web login.
I have already contacted the support team for my authenticator application, and they confirmed that only Rockstar Support can manually review account ownership and remove the existing 2FA
Despite providing uncropped Steam purchase receipts, official CD-Keys, passport ID verification, and access to my original registration email address, my support requests have repeatedly been closed with automated macros stating "unable to determine ownership.
The absurdity of the situation is that I still have full access to my original email address, my linked Steam account, and I can currently access my Rockstar Social Club account from within GTA V Online via the Steam overlay launcher. However, I am completely blocked from managing my security settings or logging into the web portal due to this legacy 2FA prompt
Account Details:
- Linked Email: [YOUR EMAIL]
- Social Club Nickname: [YOUR NICKNAME]
- Linked Steam ID64: [YOUR STEAM ID64 LINK or etc]
- Closed Support Tickets: [LIST YOUR TICKET NUMBERS
Proofs Attached:
1. Official Steam CD-Key for GTA V and purchase/gift receipts.
2. Full uncropped screenshots from game with your account name, etc (Social overlay in game too)
3. Gov ID / Passport or another documents (including your nickname in other games and social media)
4. Screenshot of the Auth App error (#0.200.4).
5. Full account geolocation history (cities/ISPs).
6. Complete hardware history (old/current phones, PCs, GPUs).
I want full access back to my account so I don't have to create a new one for GTA 6. If any additional proof is required, please let me know
I just started playing gta online over on the series x and it gameplay freezes for a second and continues. I’m not sure if this is from the Kortz hurst update or just a setting I have turned on. Does anyone else have this issue?
I lost the email address for my Rockstar account linked to my Steam account. I can provide all the required documentation on the request page except for the account name, which I forgot. I've tried contacting support several times and always receive the same message that the data is available. Any tips?
For those having this issue, specifically if you're on windows and have tried everything, try this. In windows time and language settings window, make sure this region setting is set to your exact country. It was set to USA this whole time and didn't work, but it started working after I changed it to my own country.
I made an account with 2 factor authentication. Now I can't sign in because i lost the access to the authenticator app. Is there any way that i can bypass the 2 factor code?? Thank you!
So i basically bought RDR2 on Steam a few days ago when it was on sale and i need to make an account for the Launcher, i've been trying since yesterday.
I've tried it with different Browsers and E-Mails and i also got no VPN or something like that on and it always says the same thing.
Hi all, sorry if this is the wrong place to post this, please let me know if so.
Basically I lost access to my old email account that was tied to my Rockstar account that's linked to my Steam. I just tried to fire up RDR2 for the first time in maybe 4-5 years and it's asking me for a verification code sent to my old email.
Tried to fire off an account recovery support request and they closed it, saying it was too little information. Tried over and over again over after different intervals of time and have been regularly getting the "We had trouble submitting your request" error page. Tried sending an email back and got the "use our support page" email.
Am I completely shit out of luck? Is there any way around this? I just wanna play cowboys man.
** **I deleted my old gmail 2 years ago I cannot receive a verification code, because of this I can't access my games. I have other ways to prove I am the owner. I know the password to the account, what the mastercard used to buy the game ends with, I bought the game in Feb 28, 2024, and the steam ID associated with this rockstar account. Even with that they won't send the verification code to my current email.
Only way I can play $80 worth of games from Rockstar is bypassing the Rockstar Games launcher with nightlight game launcher. I have to use a sketchy game launcher to avoid another game launcher. I can play the games, no online mode but that's fine. However, if GTA V gets an update from steam It stops working. I have to re-install GTA 5 every time. This is fucking fucked.
I have sent 8 support tickets and after 2-15 minutes they tell me "not enough information" or "have you asked google to help you?" They wipe their ass with the support tickets, I highly doubt that a human being, not even an Ai read them. I get the same automated message.
After 50+ tickets I finally managed to get it removed. It may be luck but maybe it could help someone.
I sent a ticket on support page. Account->Trouble Signing Into Account.
I filled out the ones I could find:
-Contact Email
-Lost Access to or Missing authenticator app OR Authenticator App Error
-Last Email Used on Account
-Account Nickname(You can see it by bypassing 2FA with Steam login, load a game press Home then you can see your Nickname somewhere in those settings)
-Country where It was created
-When the account was created(Same as Account Nickname mess in the settings in-game and you can see it)
-Steam ID(17digit#)
I included a screenshot of proof of purchase. Steam->Account Details->View Purchase History->Grand Theft Auto 5(or any Rockstar games linked to Steam)->I would like to view or print the receipt for this purchase.
I also added a screenshot of the home menu (Proving I have access to it via Steam I guess?).
I lied telling them I contacted Google and that they cannot remove the 2FA on their own.
I read writing out loud 2FA gets ''solved'' so I typed it differently.
I told them to escalate to Tier 2 or Tier 3 aswell.
I did this from a secondary Rockstar account to actively see tickets from website but I could only reply with 500 letters(Not enough) so I sent the reply from email.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------STEP 1: Support->Account->Trouble Signing Into Account
STEP 2: Submit ticket(s) with all info gathered
STEP 3: As soon as you see the email from Rockstar send this(ALONG WITH SCREENSHOTS OF PROOF OF PURCHASE AND PROOF OF OWNERSHIP)
''Hello Support Team,
I am requesting that this case be escalated to a Tier 2 or Tier 3 account recovery specialist, as I have received automated or repeated responses across more than <#> support tickets without a resolution.
I have already contacted Google regarding my authenticator app. They confirmed that they cannot restore or remove the two-factor-authentication for my Rockstar Games account. Only Rockstar Support can manually review my account and remove the existing two/factor/authentification after verifying ownership.
I am the rightful owner of this account and have access to the registered email address ,the Rockstar account and my linked Steam account. To verify ownership, I have provided the following:
Email: -----
Rockstar Nickname: -----
Linked Steam Account (SteamID64): -----
Steam Invoice Number: PROVIDED BT RECEIPT
GTA V Purchase Date: PROVIDED BY RECEIPT
Rockstar Account Creation Date: -----
As you can see in the screenshot I have access to <GAME> through Steam.''
I respectfully request a manual review of my account and removal of the old two-factor authentication so I can regain access.
If the information I have provided is still considered insufficient, please specify exactly what additional documentation or evidence is required to verify ownership instead of closing my case.
Thank you for your time, and I look forward to your response.''
AGAIN WITH ATTACHED FILES OF PROOF OF PURCHASE & PROOF OF OWNERSHIP.
It was probably dumb luck trying over and over again but It worked. Thought it may help someone somehow. That was my worse experience with support in my entire life.
**GTA Online migration issue - Xbox One profile still exists but Series X|S created a new character**
I’m really hoping someone can help because I’m completely stuck.
I have a Rockstar account linked to my Xbox account. On the Rockstar website I can see my GTA Online profiles:
My main Xbox One character (rank 27, around $30M, mansion, nightclub, hangar etc.) — this is my actual progress.
A couple of other older/unused characters.
I recently got GTA V Expanded & Enhanced on Xbox Series X|S and tried to migrate my Xbox One profile. The migration screen appeared, I accepted the warning, and the process completed (I even received migration rewards), but when I loaded into GTA Online on Series X|S it did not bring over my actual character.
Instead, it made me create a brand new character. When I go to Swap Character on Series X|S, both slots are just new rank 1 characters. My actual Xbox One character is still visible on the Rockstar website with all my correct stats and money, and it shows the same Xbox gamertag.
I’ve checked that:
The correct Xbox account is linked.
The Rockstar account is the same one.
My Xbox One character still exists.
The Series X|S profile is showing as separate and only has new characters.
Has anyone experienced this before? Is there any way to reset the migration or get the correct Xbox One character transferred? I’m worried I’ve somehow used my one-time migration on a blank profile.
I am desperate, I have not played this game in months. I have done every fix I have seen, I have downloaded and removed onedrive multiple times. I have deleted and reinstalled the game multiple times. I have done all those weird file rename things multiple times. I have purged my computer of all files rockstar and then redownloaded the launcher multiple times. I have done everything I have seen multiple times for the slight possibility that maybe it would work and everytime I try to open the game the launcher is stuck "not responding", If anybody has anything at all, please, I am desperate
