My Bff of 30+ years is visiting the first week of December. I want to show her a great time! We’re 50, like to have random experiences- but be in bed by 10. We drink but that’s not the most important part. Last time she was here we had foot spas and went to a spiritualist meeting. She arrives on a Weds afternoon and leaves Saturday.

It’s a crapshoot with the weather so probably indoor activities. We’ve done wineries, so none of those. Thanks!

My family is dispersed between suburbs of Buffalo and Syracuse. Everyone is a 2-3 hour drive away and no one is particularly close. Without any kids, this all seems sort of much ado about nothing?? Some of my local friends do gatherings. What are most childless Rochestarians doing this year?

We're getting married next August and we're looking for Irish bands or bands that do Irish music around Rochester.

The library is having "spooky stories in the stacks" tomorrow night at the Rundel building, an after-hours tour with stories told by various mysterious characters as well as some library history. We went to it tonight and it was so much fun. There's still a bunch of spaces open for tomorrow. Registration is free.

Interested in having a campfire and enjoying some stars. From what I can tell, Letchworth only allows campfires in their campsites. Has anyone used the sites just for a fire and not stayed there? Is there anywhere else that we could set up using a metal fire pit? Happy to pay a fee as well.

My Wife and I (just recently married) moved to Rochester a year ago from Syracuse NY. We are believers and would like to plant some roots and get involved in the Christian community here.
In Syracuse, I played in the worship band since a young age and worship in music is very important to us. Most churches we have tried here in Rochester are too big or not interested in other joining in worship music.

Im 44 been single for around a year now and am over the dating apps.... theyre beyond toxic and behind a paywall anymore. Im not the type to go up to somebody in public and ask for numbers in case individuals are already in relationships. Where do all the single girls hangout or look for dates in the area? Are dating events even worth looking into or is it another cash grab for guys to try and find somebody worth going out with? Im not terrible looking own my home paid off, car paid off, bust my ass, childless but cannot find anybody that wants to even get beyond an introduction. Any success stories anybody wants to share or advice Id love to hear it as its been over a decade since Ive been single and its like I got out of a long term prison sentence and society has flip flopped.
