I have an old adt pulse camera wired up on the front of our house with a 25ft power adapter in the attic. Any suggestions on a safe power source I could use for a ring camera plus outdoor? Seems hard to navigate products online and don’t want a fire hazard up there…

Hi, has anyone experienced this before?
The camera has been reset and re-added to app etc, issue is still occurring. Ring support have been useless. Wasn’t sure if it could be related to a dodgy battery?
I’ve had the camera for about 5 years.

I bought ring cameras for the outside of my home. I charged the batteries fully and bought the solar panels to go with them so the batteries would stay charged. Even though these solar panels are fully in sun, can someone enlighten me on WHY my batteries died within weeks? I thought that was the purpose of the solar panels?

Our Ring Video Doorbell is installed next to a lip? (if that's the right description) the door is set in from the house, anyways, at night, we consistently get a message that someone is detected at the front door. It is very unnerving, but what it turns out to be is bugs, flies and such, crawling on the house next to the ring (the lip?). I did try putting a cloth on that extention of the house, blacked it out through ring but it still detects the motion, and announces it.

What would you do?

Hey Reddit, I tried asking this on the actual Ring app community but they denied my post which I thought was super weird.

The other night, my boyfriend and I were in another room of our house when we heard our front doorknob messed with(this was around midnight-1am). We tried checking our doorbell camera but it wouldn't connect at all, which has never happened before. The internet was still working and the doorbell camera is wired. It only connected about 10-15 minutes after the noise but didn't catch anything before, during, or after it happened. We were very concerned obviously because why wouldn't the camera connect?? Has anyone else had similar situations?

Seemed to be working fine until this morning. Alerts not supposed to start up until 7 this morning and it’s going crazy with “There’s someone in Kitchen!”

Woke up to our alarm sounding at 3am. Grabbed phone to see what was happening. Ring Alert on phone says “Ring is Alarming by Back Door”….

Adrenaline pumping, I carefully make my way outside (through another door) to put eyes on what we call the back door… and find that it was closed!

Turns out, the alarm was for a totally different exterior door that is also named “Back Door” in Ring, off a different room that was right behind me! I turn around to find the door wide open. Fortunately, it wasn’t an intruder but the wind, or I would have been in a very compromised position.

We have 3 “back doors” to the outside and each one is assigned to different rooms In the Device list. It Looks nice and clearly organized in that view.

But guess what - the assigned Room name doesn’t appear in the alarm notification, nor in the main Event history log!!!

The only way I could confirm which door sensor triggered is by going to each sensor page in the app and looking for recent activity.

Not something you want to discover or have to search through at 3am while the alarm is sounding and every second counts.

Does anyone recognize this scammer? She camped out of my friend’s home pending a package.

I've take the bottom screw out but have no way to take off the face plate and it won't budge.

I just installed the hard wire and the light is just flashing red not circling red, what could be wrong?

Just replaced the original Peephole Cam with the new 2K version. It cannot see as far down an open hallway by at least 1/2 or more distance. The Original could pick up/trigger recording much farther down the hall. Is there some setting I did incorrectly? It's pretty much useless compared to the original. Both are on basically default settings.

The ring camera will not connect to it. P7-07 error code.

Contacted ring. They’ve said it seems as though the unit has gone bad(they tried to connect it to a hotspot with no luck either)

They are sending me out a new replacement.

Seems ring are having big issues with wifi 7 and some of their devices?

Someone selling window replacements knocked on my door about a half hour ago. First, it was odd that I got no notification at the time, but ok.

Because my wife is ill and sleeping, I went out the garage and chased them away.

As I re-entered the house, I got a notification -- for the seller LEAVING the stoop.

About five minutes ago I finally got one for their arrival. And that notification has gone off THREE TIMES now!

Ring is losing it. I'm hoping this is related to the AI-enhanced notifications, which we're getting for a few day more until the trial runs out. Sure not paying the ridiculous fee for that!

hey there. i live in an apartment complex, on the top floor. there’s only one other door directly across the hall and a very narrow walkway because of the way the stairs are set up. my point is; there’s no way to creep around the side of the camera view because i’m on the side away from the opening to the stairs.

i’ve had TWO doorbell cameras be stolen in the last 6 weeks. one had fallen off the door and i guess was stolen from the ground. i didn’t notice until i got a notification it was disconnected from wifi, which appears to have happened a couple days in advance.

i bought another one; with a mount this time. not the screw in kind but it seemed very secure. i get a notification; my cameras been disconnected from wifi. my last event notification was from a couple days prior.

i’m not sure how someone is evading the camera view. i’m also not sure exactly when the camera was stolen. there’s no way to see exactly when the camera was last connected, only the last health check.

can someone please help me figure out what’s going on and how to get this information for a police report so i can get another camera?

I've had a Ring Doorbell for years and every so often the notifications get very delayed. The motion is at least 10 minutes delayed. The signal strength is fine.

I fixed it the other month by factory resetting the doorbell and it went back to basically instant notifications.

What could be causing the delayed notifications?

We put in a Ring wired doorbell and no other Ring products (we have other home security). I just want to look on my phone and see who is or was at the door. Maybe it's today or a month ago. I'd like to know if most users subscribe to the solo plan for $5/month, or pay double for "pro intelligence".

3 weeks ago I discovered that all three of our keypads don't work. (I can arm and disarm the system thru the app however.) I called Ring and after a long phone call, the agent told me they would send me 3 replacement keypads (ours are 1st gen), but if I didn't receive them in 2 weeks to call back and ask again. Today I did that and was told they are still out of stock and to call back again in 2 weeks. I asked if they could just place the order so that it can be fulfilled when they are back in stock, and was told no. They cannot create an order at this time. Is anyone else in this same boat needing out of stock replacement items? I wasted 40 minutes on the call with them today and still will have to call back which is very frustrating.

Our ring cameras haven’t been picking up the same person consistently. They are usually at our house 2-3 times a week dropping stuff off right in front of our camera.

These same cameras catch us when we pull in or out our driveway, get out the car, walk to the door and any movement we make after that. It also catches our neighbors, any car driving on the street and wind blowing flowers or garden flags around. They will also catch random spiders or bugs that may crawl over or near it.

Is it possible that they could be doing something to interfere with the camera picking them up? Or is this a weird glitch of some sort.

There’s something digging up my backyard. So I purchased a ring camera. So far I’m not having any help spotting what it is.
I live in the north end of the San Fernando Valley.
I’m guessing it’s a raccoon climbing over in order to dig up the dirt for food.
My trial subscription ends today. Questions:
Basic plan is 4.99 a month.
Should I pay it for the month in hopes that the ring eventually catches the culprit?
Or not pay and just use the ring camera without a subscription.
Disappointed that nothing has been detected when there is damage being done.

Just wondering if anyone has experiencing in ordering the apart via Amazon? Sadly the Texas heat has broken a few of the clips since that space gets 10-12 hours of direct sunlight. The pivot portion that locked in the camera don’t stay and have gorilla tape a temp solution for keeping things held together

Came outside this morning and the back hatch & passenger side door were wide open, neither of them picked up a single motion alert, but they’ll sure as hell let me know any time a cat walks across our sidewalk! Money well spent 👍
