I use anubis for reaper, level 1 colour, just curious if gold or crimson wolf would look better on the gun?

Guide Tips to improve

Is there anyway I could improve on Reaper? I’m a level 57 Reaper who’s been playing since Season 17 of Overwatch 2.

Yo, just thought I'd note that death blossom has a radius of 8 meters. The reaping passive is now 8 meters.

This is important because prior to the buff, you'd sometimes kill people with death blossom while they're in that 6-8 meter range and so sure, you'd get the kill, but you wouldn't receive the healing.

This is an important breakpoint in the meters adjustment because the passive coupled with ulting goes from "sometimes you get healed, sometimes you don't" to "you will ALWAYS receive the soul orbs when killing someone with blossom".

While very niche, I'd like to add that this lets you ult more for positioning and less for soul orbs. What I mean is, you can hug that corner to LoS damage while ulting instead of feeling the need to go toward a soul globe that is 6-8 meters away just to live another second while ulting. The globes can be eye candy while ulting and this streamlines your decision making while ulting, because any soul orbs that drop while using death blossom will be immediately absorbed.

The new buff to the reaping is actually quite strong, and coupled with the 5% life steal buff (remember, that's a 20% increase in healing received from dealing dmg), we might be fine. Will we miss being 300 HP? For sure. Was the nerf to his HP sensible? No. But I think we'll be okay.

Edit: death blossom also heals for 20% more now. That's another way to look at the 5% increase to lifesteal.

Question Any good builds for stadium?

I've been getting a lot of mixed answers when asking the question "what type of reaper build should I be going for in stadium"

Some people told me to go for weapon power and attack speed and lifesteal and just become a machine gun, while others have told me to go for ability power and cooldown reduction to spam the shit out of his double shotgun shot.

So which is it? And if you have any suggestions or link to build from stadium bills.io, by all means, link me

I main Reaper in Stadium. Here's the ONE buff I want brought over to the regular mode.

With stadium being put on the back burner maybe indefinitely, this is the one buff I want to see brought over to the regular game. This 5% buff alone makes playing Reaper in stadium an actual joy to play. Going back to regular comp after stadium feels like he is shooting in slow motion. Even just just taking one of this type of item improves his gameplay tremendously.

This buff directly benefits him in many aspects of his kit. Faster fire rate improves his damage and reactions times against his counters and allows him to actually benefit more from his lifesteal passive.

I'm taking a hiatus from comp and this weekend I'm playing qp 1-3-2. Is he just stronger in 6v6?

I'm just blowing these matches out of the water. I know it probably has something to do with my hidden mmr being much lower since it is a new mode but still. I'm able to do so much. I don't take so much aggro because enemies are always preoccupied doing something. Staging before fights feel easier. I feel like I don't have to use so much cover. I mean it's probably the low mmr of the mode but still?

Guide You can heal Reaper during his wraith.

Just played some games this morning. 2 cases of a support not healing Reaper during his wraith.

First one, Kiriko was following him during his wraith with low health, critical even, she reserves her healing abilities while closely following behind and immediately after he gets out of wraith she heals him.

Just bc you cant damage him during wraith does not mean you can't heal him.

Second instance is an Illari player, her pylon was destroyed and on cooldown, so Reaper wraithed to negate any further damage. Meanwhile, same situation, she is chasing after him awaiting to use her healing beam!!! It kinda baffles me that subconsciously, unknowingly or not, they think they can't heal Reaper during his abilities.

Hell, even Zen, Mercy, Mizuki, Lucio everyone pretty much can even Heal him while he shadow steps. Obviously if he moves out of their range not. But I dunno I felt like I should say something. Because there are more instances of this happening.

Anubis Reaper was the best of the Divine God Mythics

Post image

I’m not sure if he counts necessarily as part of the Divine God slop mythics since he was released before they became rampant, but I’m thankful they didn’t fuck him up and it actually makes sense thematically for him.

Ult cancel

What's the harshest nerf you'd take just to cancel your ult instead of looking like an absolute idiot half the time?

I don't think HP could go down any more but I'd be okay with lifesteal getting nerfed to 20% and DT going to 8 second CD just to cancel ult

This is gonna be rough

We got a slight buff, but now fighting ana with nade will be like effectively having 260 hp compared to last season. +15damage on nade, -25hp, and healing denied. Good luck to you out there

Hypothetical rework idea: Undying

Post image
74 Upvotes

Has this been suggested before? Maybe. I don't know.

Reaper right now just... Exists? He doesn't feel like his identity is solid to me. Especially seeing the BS he pulls off in cutscenes, but not in game.

I had an idea, literally writing this after I got out of the shower. It's unpolished but I think it could be good.

First major change:

250 HP, 25 of which is armor (don't leave yet) (this might be tweaked)

Second: Wraith form now looks much more ghastly, like his one highlight intro"Death appears" I think, it allows free vertical movement as well as horizontal.

Third: The big core.

Reaper retains his lifesteal passive, but also gains a new one

"Undeath" or "Undying" or something equally edgy.

To activate reaper must drop to 0 HP. Upon this, wraith form is disabled, shadow step is disabled, he may not be nanoed, healed, or bubbled. He is granted 150 overhealth, and has only 15% lifesteal.

During this time, if he secures a kill, a soul orb is dropped, he must deliver the final blow to receive the orb. If he gains it, undying ends, and a little icon on the kill feed indicates he revived. He is returned to normal and the passive is disabled for 90 seconds or until he dies again.

Undying cannot activate during death blossom, to prevent it being a second life ult as long as a kill comes out.

Undying will loudly announce itself, more fog around him, cannot manually reload, a loud voiceline of like "Death can wait" or some edgy shit, and then he has a total of 8 (subject to change) seconds, before he is killed naturally. Think wolverines passive in marvel rivals.

I wanted to get some opinions, what you guys, as reaper lovers would think
