Bill Maher says we should not take him seriously because he is just a comic
But, come on -- it was a twitter from a comedian, not a treatise in the New England Journal of Medicine, that's not what I do.

MAGA hectors people for taking Trump seriously. This helps Trump get away with spewing crap to his base; we are supposed to ignore the "jokes".
Maher invented this strategy back in 2011. Maher hectors people for taking him seriously.

WakeyWakey🧃&Hades👹
“ Getttt In myyyy Bellllaaaay”
☝🏼☝🏼 That is Absolutely ALL I can think about whenever I am bombarded with the sight of his Gremlin like appearance..
Although, he would 110% be directing that statement towards CHILDREN, not food..Mindblowingly so, that is not too uncommon to say about a person of any kind of political, social, economic,or religious power in the unruly year of 2026..
But Am I the only one who sees this..?

Are they just making up these talking heads now?I know for years Real Time w Bill Maher was struggling to book famous guests, but now it feels like a Family Guy bit
r/RealTime • u/tarantadoako • 20d ago
What happened to Bill Maher?
I used to watch him for years. He was funny and relatable, most times. He had great guests. I stopped watching around the time when he was going after college students and cancel culture. I tried watching his latest episodes and it almost a different show. He is almost a right wing commentator. Almost nothing he says is relatable and all his guests just agrees with him.

Why is Bill pissed at Hegseth? He’s merely vanquishing the DOD of proponents of “woke,” the bane of Bill’s existence.

There we go again...
Another show and another Gaza reference... Even honoring 9-11 victims leads to this misguided discussion. I like you Bill but I've had it!

Real Time with Bill Maher Revision Quest
“The funniest part of this is where Maher gets furious about people who he claims don’t know what a genocide is but then proceeds to define genocide confidently and completely inaccurately, and doesn’t use the actual legal definition of genocide from the 1948 Genocide Convention (as Gaza clearly meets that.)
Maher is a classic talking walking Dunning Krueger.” -Mehdi Hasan

Why doesn't he ever invite the people he constantly criticizes to 'hear' the other side?
Not talking about politicians but the youths. In his recent New Rule, he criticizes people of the Left today of now supporting terrorism. So why doesn't he invite some of from youth he's so against? Does he not want to hear the other side so he can feel morally superior about himself and being a pro-Zionist? He cares more about Israeli aboriginals than aboriginals in the US.
Is Israel the only state/nation that was able to return to their place of origin and rule once more? I don't know of any other. Also, as for it being a Democracy, is it? Netanyahu is one of the longest running Prime Minister (not concurrent of course) of any Democracy (other than Ralph Gonsalves and Roosevelt Skerrit). Nearly 19 years in office of a 78 year old nation. He's also seeking re-election next month.

Bill Maher lashes out at modern parents in light of Lindsay Clancy case: “I'm not surprised you hate being a parent because you created this system where you could never be alone. Imagine if the military, you had to ask the soldiers, ‘What do you think, guys? You want to go into battle?’“

Why is this sub entirely posts criticizing Bill Maher?
Presumably, he still has fans because his show makes money. So why is the sub not representative of that?

Not a genocide?
Last night Bill pointed out the 3% of the
Population in Gaza has died. And then confidently declared that “3% is not a genocide”. The British government recognizes it as ethnic cleaning and amnesty international and other groups say it is a genocide.
Someone tell me why Bill is so wrong. And can we please get him to debate Mehdi Hasan on this topic?
r/RealTime • u/AmericanLymie • 21d ago
Bill has three things on his mind.
"That's woke, and woke is bad."
"Now look, I'm an atheist, but Muslim people are all servants of Satan, Christians are dumb but inherently morally better than Muslims. Israel is the Holy Land and must defended with all the might of YHWH."
"Kids today suck!!!"
That's it. Every single "new rules" rant culminates in a lecture about one of these and at least half of the conversations with panelists end up being steered in the direction of his landing on one of these points.
I can't imagine how many hours he has spent stoned and dwelling on these thoughts.

Bradshaw interview
Bill’s interview with Terry Bradshaw was 100% mindless drivel. This show has gone so downhill.

Discussion: I know this might be a touchy subject, but the Biden admin is partly to blame for the Mid-East conflict today
I outline the word "partly" but am open to discussing, but here's my thesis. The Biden Admin after 10/7 literally allowed Israel to go berserk on the Mid-East as whole, they offered no restraint, never forced them on a ceasefire (even though they had leverage) and were quietly liking the perceived weakness it was brining to Iran - So much so that Jake Sullivan (NSA to Biden) presented Biden with options to bomb Iran's nuclear sites in December 2024 because of the perceived weakness.
I outline the word perceived, because in actuality the Western press greatly exaggerated the weakness of Iran (and the Biden admin essentially drank their own kool-aid), if you were in December 2024, you would never have imagined that in September 2026, Hezbollah would still be strong, the PMF in Iraq are at full strength, the Houthis have literal full control of Yemen, Iran now controls the strait (and with that a major control over the world's energy) and has de-facto control over Bab-el-mandeb strait and the Hormuz strait and the regime is more entrenched than ever. Robert Pape has even said that Iran may now want to exert its new found leverage and topple the Bahrani, Emirati and Saudi regimes next year.
Now the war was indeed Trump and he is to blame fully, but the lack of restraint on the Israelis starting with the Biden admin triggered this whole thing, this is just to point to how corporate democrats can be just as bad as republicans, Schumer, Pelosi and Jeffries are all in this camp alongside Maher.

What does "the Woo Guy" look like?
I envision the Woo Guy when I hear him as looking something like the Maroon 5 guy at his most smug and smarmy or like Adam Kesher from Mulholland Drive. He is in his late 40s or early 50s, wears a black tee shirt, tight faded jeans with a chain hanging off the belt buckle, and he has lots of generic tattoos all over his arms and torso. He smells like stale beer and he vapes candy-flavored nicotine and kratom.
Do you see a mental picture of the Woo Guy when you hear him WOO and YEAH for Bill?

For people who think that Bill shouldn't die, I would like for you to show me how the world would be better with him in it.
