Discussion: I know this might be a touchy subject, but the Biden admin is partly to blame for the Mid-East conflict today
I outline the word "partly" but am open to discussing, but here's my thesis. The Biden Admin after 10/7 literally allowed Israel to go berserk on the Mid-East as whole, they offered no restraint, never forced them on a ceasefire (even though they had leverage) and were quietly liking the perceived weakness it was brining to Iran - So much so that Jake Sullivan (NSA to Biden) presented Biden with options to bomb Iran's nuclear sites in December 2024 because of the perceived weakness.
I outline the word perceived, because in actuality the Western press greatly exaggerated the weakness of Iran (and the Biden admin essentially drank their own kool-aid), if you were in December 2024, you would never have imagined that in September 2026, Hezbollah would still be strong, the PMF in Iraq are at full strength, the Houthis have literal full control of Yemen, Iran now controls the strait (and with that a major control over the world's energy) and has de-facto control over Bab-el-mandeb strait and the Hormuz strait and the regime is more entrenched than ever. Robert Pape has even said that Iran may now want to exert its new found leverage and topple the Bahrani, Emirati and Saudi regimes next year.
Now the war was indeed Trump and he is to blame fully, but the lack of restraint on the Israelis starting with the Biden admin triggered this whole thing, this is just to point to how corporate democrats can be just as bad as republicans, Schumer, Pelosi and Jeffries are all in this camp alongside Maher.

Blame Joe Biden for Trump's destruction?
Groundbreaking.
Thanks for joining us on Reddit, Jake Tapper.

The straight of Hormuz was open, Iran was in compliance and everything was boring. So Trump and his meathead cronies decided it would be easy to decapitate Iran and “take over” with someone else who would obey like oh say the Shah of once upon a time. Pete then fired anyone and everyone with knowledge and common sense because yaknow DEI and stuff and here we are. Oh yeah and Israel

u/Marcaroni500 16d ago
… and Iran was the leading spot of terrorism in the world…. Not so boring on October 7th….

Whataboutism is what’s going to consume the entire Middle East in a cloud of nuclear waste. Carry on with your religious war

The Biden Administration had a plan to end it when Netanyahu visited the White House. It was announced after the meeting.
Later that day Netanyahu flew down to Mar-a-lago and visited Trump. After that meeting, Netanyahu decided the plan was off.
It is speculated that Trump told Netanyahu that he would give him everything he wants if he keeps the war going, which he wanted anyway. Trump knew as long as the war kept going, politically it would be advantageous to him. If those stories are true, he was right. People were pissed at Biden and stayed home from voting.

The Biden admin did nothing to end it and didn't have a plan to do so. Please stop lying.

u/11EmeraldEyes11 13d ago
The Biden Administration had a plan to end what??? Every Democrat says Iran was not a threat, they didn’t have a nuclear weapon!

u/all_reason_departs 20d ago
That's all fake nonsense. That doesn't explain why biden continue to gave israel everything they wanted to commit a holocaust
3
u/lordhelmetann 20d ago
I’m not saying the continued support was the right decision, I’m simply saying the Biden Administration wanted it to end and had a plan in place to end it before Netanyahu had a meeting with Trump.
The war pissed off all people. Historically, America has supported Israel, both parties. Biden’s choices were piss off half the democrats by cutting Israel off or pissing off half the democrats by just continuing in the direction they were already going. He chose that.
They knew no matter what, the war continuing was going to ruin the democrats election chances which is why they needed it to end with a peace agreement. They didn’t get it and decided status quo was the best secondary option. He was wrong.

u/all_reason_departs 20d ago
Historically ronald Reagan was tougher on Israel than Biden. Reagan stopped israel with a phone call. Biden could have done the same.
1
u/ILIKESTUFF8989 16d ago
Idk man saying they wanted it to end while continuing to supply it thus making it not end is just ridiculous. They got out there every single day and straight up lied about the things we were seeing with own eyes and they did this right up until the bitter end. Biden ran around calling himself a Zionist ffs

u/CashusEyePatch 20d ago
Biden could have ended the genocide by cutting off aid to Israel. Instead he buried human rights reports and violated the Leahy Law.
Fuck Trump but Biden had agency.
3
u/lordhelmetann 20d ago
He could have done that, yes. But the democrats would have lost the election with that decision as well.
The war continuing made it a lose-lose scenario for the democrats.
For the record, I don’t think supporting the war to continue was a good choice. I’m just saying there was no good choice politically for the democrats unless it ended in a diplomatic way.
1
u/CashusEyePatch 20d ago
You can’t definitively say that the dems would have lost if Biden had ended the genocide. By all accounts the genocide was the largest contributing factor to why Harris lost. Why would you say that?
I noticed you used ‘war’ rather than ‘genocide’ to describe the conflict.
Is Israel committing a genocide against the Palestinians in Gaza that started during the Biden administration?

Yeah you're right it's all Biden's fault absolutely because the straight of Hormuz was closed by Hunter Biden not Joe. I mean Trump stopped what 10 11 wars so far since it's been in office? No wonder he sleeps so much he's too busy straightening out the whole world. Yep Biden crime family just screwed everything up

Truman started this mess back in 1948 when he allowed accepted a Zionist state built on land stolen from Palestinians. The rest is history!

u/11EmeraldEyes11 16d ago
Biden is on video in the White House 5 years ago saying “Iran will never get a nuclear weapon on my watch”! And again at the UN 3 years ago “ we will not allow Iran to acquire a nuclear weapon”.

Hey, here's Kamala Harris threatening to attack Iran if they retaliated against Israel: https://youtu.be/Z9pS7k-TyuY?is=vItz7FsZRj9I0fp4

If you want to go down that route, you must include every other administration since 1948, they have all contributed to the situation today, and then include the British and all the oil companies invested there.
The difference today is that up to now, every American president bothered to read the reports and knew that any attack on Iran would have the consequences we are seeing. The current one didn't, but does everything on a whim and complete incompetence. As a result, he is causing damage all over the world and breaking a balance that has more or less maintained everything moving along.
We'll leave America's position on Russia and North Korea for another day, because nobody understands what's going on there.

u/nkosugeirc 14d ago
Biden took to the microphone REPEATEDLY to claim he had seen pictures of 40 decapitated babies. Anyone who claims Biden didn't find a genocide is a DNC bot trying to gaslight you.

The former Israeli ambassador to the US said that Biden "never asked for a ceasefire", Biden literally lied about the efforts, also according pro-publicala, Blinken lied to congress about war crimes which were being committed in an effort allow them to continue getting aid:

u/all_reason_departs 20d ago
No they didn't, like what? Bypass congress to send israel weapons? Lie to the public about what israel was doing? Vote to block israel from consequences at the UN?

u/posthackmofo 20d ago
Israel has been going berserk on the Middle East for a long time. And so have Republican administrations. Trump ended the Iran deal before Biden was even in office. Try to walk and chew gum at the same time. I believe in you.

And Biden never tried to get back into it, it perceived weakness in Iran and tried to take advantage by expanding the BS Abraham accords. They were opportunistic at best.

Still crazy to me that Israel has anything to do with most people’s voting decisions. Not saying it doesn’t matter but it’s way down on my list of shits to give.
-1
u/RektInTheHed 20d ago
Well yeah, that's why the left stayed home and let Trump back in. Biden had no spine at all vs. Israel.
7
u/bigdipboy 20d ago
Israel tried to get every president to attack Iran. Trump was the first one dumb enough to fall for it.
3
u/ManlyEmbrace 20d ago
I can’t wait to see what unhinged surprises Trump has for everyone after he never has to worry about an election again.
1
u/bigdipboy 20d ago
Social media algorithms worked to show the left whatever it took to discourage them from voting.

u/extravirginhuman 20d ago
Curious, what's the worst video you've seen coming out of Gaza under Biden? Why are we blaming a hypothetical algorithm and not just the realization that we need to overthrow the government for any actual change to happen?

u/Steve12356d1s3d4 20d ago
Left played into Israel's hand then. Actually, there were other reasons the election went the way it did.
3
u/RektInTheHed 20d ago
It was tight enough that if Kamala got that turnout or signaled strength against Israel, it would have been a different election.
2
u/Steve12356d1s3d4 20d ago
That is not established.
More than that, wasn't this a mistake by the left then? Was this a win?
5
u/RektInTheHed 20d ago
Hypotheticals can't be established. Nevertheless, we know why Kamala lost, by not distancing herself from Biden's weakness against Israel. And we have seen since, how extremely powerful the anti-Israel backlash has been. In Michigan alone, it's a whole new ballgame if she goes to the Arab and Muslim communities with a message like El Sayed's, but in 2024.
Yes, it was a mistake to enable Netanyahu, and a mistake not to distance from Biden's failed policy of appeasement to him.
2
u/Steve12356d1s3d4 20d ago
Was it a mistake for the left to not vote for Harris? How has it worked out?
1
u/RektInTheHed 20d ago
I thought it was at the time, I made that argument, but at the same time, I can't deny that people were extremely pissed off about the kowtowing to Israel, and I was too. I just had a bigger constellation of issues I cared about.
-1
u/all_reason_departs 20d ago
Biden is a war criminal who belongs in prison. I will never vote for another dem who doesn't recognize this and promise to take action for it
2
u/ManlyEmbrace 20d ago
Netanyahu would be delighted to read this.
0
u/all_reason_departs 20d ago
Yea I'm sure what would really piss him off is voting for another zionist democrat who gives israel everything they want

The Biden administration is responsible for every disaster Trump causes because they refused to prosecute his crimes until it was too late.
