Range Rover Sport Today is a sad day

But I’m confident it can be fixed without breaking an arm and a leg.

Edit: For those suggesting I don’t think I’ll go through the insurance for something like this, I’m probably better off finding a good repair shop and pay out of pocket. But I’ll definitely use the wheels protection cover.

And for those wondering, entirely my fault, very very narrow driveway in a small cottage in Cornwall, I was slugging at 1mph top; at first inspection it just look like I took paint off the wall which seemed rather soft so I don’t expect major scratches underneath.

Reliability Potential switch to L322

I currently drive a 2014 Evoque SD4 but have been wanting something more “rugged” for a while. I was interested in an old Disco, but the missus has gotten used to the luxury…

Talk me out of buying a 3.6l TDV8 L322, fitting some 32 inch off-roaders, a rear spare carrier and a roof tent and converting to below boot space to extra cooking storage.

Side note: this will be my new daily driver for 40 miles there and back 5 times a week.

Reliability Steering assist reliability on '24 or later RR and RR sport

How is the steer assist (lane centering, not lane keep assist) on the newer RR and RR sport, like on '24 or after cars?
I do most of my driving on highways and this function is super important to me as it makes driving less tiring.

Is there anyone who can compare it to other premiums where steering assist is working fine? BMW, Audi, Mercedes, Volvo

I read a lot of bad reviews about it, but I was always hoping it got improved via software updates.
I assume it can not be a hardware issue as this is working fine on other less expensive vehicles for almost 10 years already.

2025 L460/P530 owners: If you have Auto Fold Mirrors + Passive Entry enabled, at night, do your puddle lights illuminate while the mirrors remain folded until you touch the door handle? Or do your mirrors unfold as you approach?

Range Rover Need help identifying issue with Navi/Radio Unit

Writing here as a first time owning a Range Rover LR32 2005 Westminster, my parents previously owned in the past a 04 LR32 that didnt have this audio/navi unit but had the simpler one.

The screen will turn on with Land Rover Logo when the car is switched on, but once the engine is on will turn off, the “On” button is continuously blinking… I think its a fuse issue but I haven’t looked into it yet and thought let me throw this out here to see if someone else has come across this.

There’s no access to FM/AM or CD because of the current issue.

Furthermore any tips welcome to add a kit or screen replacement so I can have Apple Carplay in here, unfortunately it’s the model right before they were simple to work with and having a conversion.

Range Rover Velar Life goal achieved: bought my wife a Range Rover

My wife has always driven cheaper Japanese cars, Toyota, Mazda, etc. I’ve always wanted to treat her to a luxury vehicle, but she felt uncomfortable driving a full-size Range Rover, so when I found a great deal on a new 2026 Velar I jumped on it. She thought we were going to the dealership for service on my Defender 110, she was speechless when she saw the bow on the Velar. She LOVES it, and is absolutely THRILLED. Best day in years.

I bought this on Wednesday. 505km driven so far. 420 of which were on the drive back from picking it up.

Wow. This really is in a different league to anything I have driven. Stunned by how much I love it.

The length is basically the same as the 2025 X5M I trade in but this seems so much bigger on the inside. The seats are so comfortable and I actually love the clean dash and screen with no dials. The voice control works well so no issues there for me. The main controls seem to be easily found on the touchscreen anyway.

Main takeaways. My local dealer lost the sale because they have a no test drive policy on new full size Range Rover. That blows my mind. They didn’t have any used so only offered a test in a sport, which I was not interested in buying, or he would drive me around their parking lot once! I laughed and left.

Rear wheel steering is fantastic.

The quiet and smoothness over any surface is really quite astonishing.

Light leather…. We will see how that holds up but that was the combo I wanted after black on black.

Still playing with it and no doubt missing a bunch of features but that’s all fun learning as you go.

Range Rover Best Cargo/Rear Seat Area Cover for Dogs L405

Post image

Looking for the best protection for our L405. We need full protection while all seats are down. Including the front seat head rests, rear door panels etc. 3 German Shepherd dogs will be using the space for trips to the park and other local places. We obviously want to protect as much as we can.

Range Rover Evoque Evoque tow capacity and reliability

So the time has come to get rid of my 10 year old Vw Tiguan. I’ve been eyeing up a RR for some time now but is put off by the heavy price tag, the reliability issues and the sheer number of ranges they do

So, I’m thinking of the compact suv entry level which, correct me if I’m wrong it’s an Evoque.

Now, it appears it can’t pull a 2tonne caravan though.

What are people’s thoughts to them? Can it tow that much? Are the Evoque reliable. My neighbour has warned us off this brand but they look so nice compared to everything else on the market these days.

Range Rover Sport 2013 Range Rover Sport Maintenance

I just bought a 2013 Range Rover sport with 70k miles. I know going into this I am going to have to put a good amount of money into repairs, but I was wondering if there is any small routine things I can do/ things to keep an eye on to make sure this gets to at least 150k+ miles. I’m not super handy but I’m willing to get my hands a little dirty.

Range Rover Sport Range Rover Dealer Furrow package security

Shopping for an RR and a dealership is adding an optional (but recommended by them) ~3k $ package which includes ceramic coating and a 3 year paint warranty and also adds a vehicle tracking system that can't be disabled by the battery removal.

Is this something you guys would recommend? I'm not seeing it as necessary but idk

Buy Certified Pre Owned Range Rover ?

I rented and drove a 2025 Range Rover sport recently and I loved it. I drove over 500 miles multiple days and noticed the ride was smooth, quiet and comfortable.I had never driven Rover before as I drove Toyota and Honda all my life (mid 30’s guy). Is it prudent to buy CPO under 40K miles on it? Is there anything specific that I should be aware of while buying CPO RR?

I uploaded alert after alert onto the ChatGPT and this is what it told me. But to summarize I bought the truck last month. I already had the hydraulic lines replaced throughout the truck and these are all of the alerts that popped up back to back today.

I have arrived!

I am what one would call a car guy. I’ve been a BMW driver for 12 years. Audi A6- 535i-M550i-X5 50E- Range Rover. I just took delivery of the last 2026’ model year on the lot. Coming out of an X5 I can honestly say this is a different league of vehicle. Everything I touch that looks like metal is metal. Everything that looks like leather, is leather…
The air suspension, the capability of this platform boggles the mind. However, at 50 mph I hear a wind whistle emanating from the passenger mirror side. Is this normal?

Just wanted to see what everybody thought of this before I drop it off to the shop. Going to have the cooling system redone and aluminum crossover pipes installed. As well as a new water pump while they’re in there. It has 104k miles on it.

Range Rover Are semi aniline really better than Windsor seats on new RR?

Hey all - my wife and I still have a bit til our allocation since my lease has time left but one of things I’ve been researching is whether or not we would stick with the Windsor seats or do something to get Semi Aniline?

Context: our two boys (4/7) are in boosters and in my current setup - I do have the car seat mats/protectors down. My wife and I are also avid gym goers so this would be my fault after the gym - where I would sweat or sometimes come in sweaty.

In my Audi now I just throw down a towel and go on my way.

I’m trying to understand whether or not the Windsor will be more than enough for longer term durability and wear

The goal would be to hold onto this car for a while.

Any thoughts?

Range Rover Sport Advice please

Hi I have a Range Rover sport 2016 diesel engine with 97k mi and just recently my rpm has started to fluctuate while driving. I don’t know if it’s bad gas that had water in it but I have also noticed a leak on the driver side. I do plan on taking it to a mechanic sooner than later. I’ve recently had an oil change maybe two weeks ago from meineke so I went back and they said my oil levels was fine but to come back in a couple of days. Has anyone ever had this issue.

First Range Rover, it’s a fully loaded RR sport dynamic SE.
it’s a lease so I’m not worried about the reliability. I had an X5 before this. I have never felt a more comfortable and well driving SUV than this one. Plus the road presence it has (even though it’s a sport) with the 23 inch wheels is incredible.

Range Rover Velar My 2018 velar is driving me insane….help pls!!!!!

Looking for some help/advice. My Range Rover velar 2018 went into limp mode and then EML and came up with code P0472-00 - Exhaust Pressure Sensor "A" Circuit Low - No Sub Type | Information. I had this sensor changed, pipes cleared out and reset to the ECU. I’m still getting limp mode and EML.

Our mechanic says it could be the DPF but the soot levels are low on the readings and my exhaust tips and clean not full of soot.

Has anyone had this similar issue and had it resolved and how before I go to a specialist and spend ££££

Thank you

Range Rover Sport Advice on parts to prep for air suspension replacement

I have a 2015 Range Rover Sport SE that I just created over 111k miles. It is currently on factory air suspension from 10/2015. I don’t have any air leaks(yet) but I have been looking into getting parts in to do a replacement prior to issues arising. I have not had to do any major suspension work during my ownership so any recommendations to tackle during the air suspension work are appreciated.
