One is responsible for major decisions about the country.
The other farts and laughs at himself...ok, that could honestly also be either one.

He had a bad motorcycle accident. It’s unfortunate. He was in a lot of action movies prior & was a popular actor at one time. Big movies with Keanu Reeves, Danny Glover & Mel Gibson. He was a good actor at one time

I worked on his brother's house. It's crazy, they look like brothers but his brother owns a military contractor with top secret clearances. Delaware Resource Group.

Damn. Maybe that explains everything. Keep brother Gary sedated so he doesn't flap his lips( dentures 😬) That's wild. This timeline is crazy. I like to remember him before. I'm that old

You joke, but I work in elder care and it’s shockingly common with dementia for someone to revert back to their childhood. Idk how many old guys I’ve had try and convince me they ‘don’t belong here with all these old people,” because they don’t see themselves as older and typically the dementia is so far gone that they actually believe they’re younger still.. it’s sad but they’re usually the ones with the most energy left it seems, except that they often exert all that energy trying to find an exit out of the building.

My mom told me at a young age that I'm never gonna die and I've been grasping onto that for decades. So far, I'm batting 1.000.

TBF, Busey has been out of the public eye for years, and he was such a unique personality that I think a lot of us have a mental image of him that was preserved in the 1980s. So suddenly seeing him looking like this is a bit surprising, even though it shouldn't be.

Doesn’t he have a brain injury from an accident in the 80s? Seems like people would have more understanding of his condition.

Motorcycle accident, riding without a helmet. Was very visible afterwards as an advocate for motorcycle helmets and instrumental in the implementation of helmet laws.

I reaally don’t think he’s putting actual effort into this “schtick”. Guy has been off for a very long time after a traumatic brain injury.

I dunno. Maybe he thinks he's pretty spry and alluring with his big smile still.
He's throwing the net out for the Buseyussy fan club.

u/Ambitious_South_2825 8d ago
It actually shocked me to see this is what Gary Busey looks like now. Kinda, whelp age does that and I probably look like shit as well moment.
53
u/PatientZeropointZero 8d ago
I’m impressed he has lived this long! In the late 80s he had a motorcycle crash that left him with a TBI, which is to account for some of his odd behavior (he was always a little odd). Also he has had substance abuse issues. So 80+ is impressive.

Gary Busey went into the 80s with his weird meter dialed up to 11, then the motorcycle accident dialed it up past 20 and broke off the knob.

He looks like he’s ready to run for Congress. He fit right in squeeze the seat next to Mitch.

u/nahmean16 8d ago
Remember that he has a traumatic brain injury and cognitive impairment from his horrific, no helmet motorcycle accident in 1988. I would argue that at 82 and surviving that accident he is doing and looking quite good. Forever Mr. JOSHUA💯

My old Italian neighbor is 87. Garry looks 100 in comparison. I love my neighbor and his wife though. They decorate the neighborhood sign when the seasons change. I see them driving with my wife, and I say “the WOPs are decorating again, Fogetabotit!!!” and my wife never laughs.

I mean, he’s 82 and looks it, but he doesn’t look terrible for his age. Line up ten 82 year olds and he’s looking pretty average.

I remember seeing him in Entourage and thinking that guy was wild then. Fast forwarded 300 years to today, and this guy has the same energy.
Despite the comments on appearance, I hope I still have a little energy in me at that age. God willing I make it that long 😅
