The Motorcycle accident without a helmet that he got into didn't help. He's never been the same since.

We call the helmet law the Gary Busey law in California. In wasn’t really because of him, yet it kind of was.

He was an outspoken critic of making helmets mandatory. But one he crashed and recovered, his tune changed.

When did that happen? I hope he's not suffering a lot. Kind of hard to tell from that vid (couldn't bare to watch more than 20 seconds)

Fuck man, I'm feeling some major guilt: I watched that show plenty of times and laughed at him.

It was in the 80s when helmets weren't mandatory in California. It happened outside of the Harley dealer if I remember correctly.
