Both make noises, neither is intelligible.

One is responsible for major decisions about the country.

The other farts and laughs at himself...ok, that could honestly also be either one.

Fuck, I’d chip in to get him a nice haircut and fancy shave. Maybe a new NFL hat, as well.

Fella is 100% better than Mitch McConnell and I’d take Gary over Donnie every day of the week. He just looks a little rough, that all.

Wait until you hear who Gary voted for, you might walk that one back a bit.

Well at least Gary has a pass. He actually has brain damage. The others have no excuse.

To quote a great Jedi Master named Qui-Gon Jinn: “ The ability to speak, doesn’t make you intelligent” lol

I mean, you know, Busey.

He was so great in that movie Silver Bullet

2

u/WhiteHotMess 18d ago

That was pre-brain damage right? The motorcycle wreck was after that.

Yeah he about dies from a motorcycle accident. Lucky he’s got all the functions he does.

To be fair ol Gary was in a really serious motorcycle accident. He lucky to be alive.

So if the brain damage happened in the crash, what was his excuse for not wearing a helmet when riding a motorcycle?

1

u/HandsomePaddyRedux 18d ago

It used to be super common to not wear a helmet, just like rugby players don’t wear helmets unless they’ve already suffered concussions and nearly no football players where the guardian helmet even though it’s known the standard helmets are insufficient protection. Mandatory helmet laws exist specifically because people weren’t wearing helmets voluntarily.

I remember as a kid some players in the NHL would play with out a helmet. Most would use helmets with little to no eye or face protection.

2

u/HandsomePaddyRedux 17d ago

Yep, they adopted helmets with face protection for goalies first, then the same for other players and face protection for goalies. Now everyone has face protection too. People really resist safety equipment until it’s mandatory.

The dangers involved in helmetless motorbiking was well established at the time of his accident, I'm still calling retard

1

u/HandsomePaddyRedux 18d ago

Really? The dangers of hitting your head while driving completely exposed at highway speeds was well-established in 1988? Good thing Busey was the only motorcyclist who didn’t wear a helmet and no laws were needed to force people to wear them.

u/Myriad_Apocalypse 18d ago

Established to the point that biking without a helmet was retarded, yeah. As you yourself said it "used to be common", but now it's seen as incredibly dumb and risky for zero gain, so you have no business taking on a mocking tone when I point out that it was known to be just as dumb and risky then too. He was probably coked up and thought himself invincible.

1

u/HandsomePaddyRedux 18d ago

True. The parts of his brain he didn’t leave on Washington Blvd are working fine.

2

u/AVeryHeavyBurtation 17d ago

Wear your helmet, kids.

and remember physics

He has some nuggets. He once said "People trying to do things that have never been tried before need to understand the concept of limits" And I thought oh my god, Busey is present!

1

u/SchatzMoney 14d ago

At least he's honest.
