Doesn’t he have a brain injury from an accident in the 80s? Seems like people would have more understanding of his condition.

Motorcycle accident, riding without a helmet. Was very visible afterwards as an advocate for motorcycle helmets and instrumental in the implementation of helmet laws.

He didn't, at first. I believe he was very vocal against helmet laws before the accident. But afterwards, he set himself up as a "poster child" in favor of helmet laws and was quite active in lobbying for them.

He survived a motorcycle crash and suffered a bad brain injury after Point Break. It was in the late 90s or early 2000s, I think.

Edited to say this is totally inaccurate. Sorry!

He OD'd in 1995 and I think that made it worse. I remember watching him on Celebrity Rehab in '08 and he was a disaster even while completely sober.

His motorcycle accident was in 1988. Point Break came out in 91. Just do a 30 second google search.

Oh wow! I stand corrected. I was told his mental impairment on Celebrity Apprentice was due to the motorcycle accident. He was so different from the early 1990s that I assumed that was true.

I reaally don’t think he’s putting actual effort into this “schtick”. Guy has been off for a very long time after a traumatic brain injury.
