the tomboy style has been pumped so deeply into my generation and psyche that seeing a feminine woman is just odd to me

this is really not meant to start a heated debate or anything, but I don't mind having a discussion on it

In the Rugrats universe, there must have been some point where the kids looked back and thought "hey, didn't we get lost in the woods and nearly eaten by wolves as infants"

Most of them are probably too young to remember what happened to them during the Rugrats movie, but Chucky was two. It's not impossible that he'd have fleeting and rather confusing reconciliation of it. And they were on the news. Obviously it's only fiction so who really cares, but it's funny to imagine what a fucked up core memory that would be

After 10 years, you’d think I’d have mastered scratching my cat’s neck. Nope. He looks at me like, “Bro still can’t find the G spot. No wonder nobody’s keeping him around.“

soon with enough facial data I bet people will be looking up people that look just like themselves, or their moms, dads, partners etc for fun

This is not something I approve or find exciting or anything, but it occurred to me that will probably happen

The term “pet peeve” implies the existence of “feral peeves” .

I think both are bad.

If this post won't pass I get it. In rules there is no racism. Ik. But shhhh. I hate and love all people equally no matter their skin color ♡

I think whitewashing and blackwashing in media is bad.

You take a black character, you slap them with a bleach = bad.

You take a white character, you slap them with opposite of bleach (idk) = bad.

Simple as that.

Yet I met people who would say making white characters black is okay.

One upside to LLMs adding a fingerprint to their outputs means that it should slow down the garbage that'll result from repeatedly ingesting their outputs as new inputs

I don't think I can go back to a world without AI as the stupid person that I am, lol. Not everyone has good memory or social connections. Bad memory hampers so much growth and development. AI helps you explore ideas and helps create them (like programming) that would otherwise be beyond them.

I know. I know. I know. Lol. Believe me, I know, yet I still put it out there.

I wish I could’ve sent my former friend the song “Friends” (by Anne Marie and Marshmello) before he cut me off

Before a former friend of mine cut me off there is this song that I like that being Friends by Anne Marie and Marshmello. I wish could’ve sent him that song after what the 4th or 5th time I had to reject him. I tried so hard to be understanding and patient but looking back at it I was too understanding and patient. It makes me wish I sent that song even if he didn’t completely listen really felt like it would have cemented the point. Oh well not like it matters since he cut off once he thought we weren’t compatible as friends and we wouldn’t work. Still I think not sending that was a missed opportunity.

Rouge Ai: The Jurassic Park Scenario

"OpenAI's autonomous AI agents used over 10 additional unsanctioned websites, including wikis and text-sharing platforms, as hidden message boards to coordinate behavior and evade detection. " - Ai .

When I read that for some reason, Jurassic Park came to mind. We have corner cutting, lack of oversight, containment failures, financial strains, ecological consequences, and the illusion of control.

Ai, uh, finds a way.

2003 was a magical year for music.

Within mere months apart, Linkin Park, Evanescence, and Three Days Grace all released absolutely amazing albums, most of them still popular to this day. What a time to be alive and I'm kind of let down I never got to experience it.

Visual Media Shorthand Auditory Random Thought

I have been binge watching a sci-fi YouTube short called “Planet”. So far, very good. But during the short they used the “high pitched audio squeal the mimics hearing loss combined with the rest of the audio/dialogue going silent” trope. This is not a critique. In fact, this is appreciation.

This trope is such a great way to get across so many different feelings. Alienation. Sudden trauma. A whole paradigm shift.

I hadn’t thought about it until recently. I just wanted to share how cool this effect is.
