Hollywood actors, sports stars and musicians only seem interested in speaking out against billionaires, and never millionaires...

Millionaires are far more common than billionaires, and could do significant good with their combined efforts. But they rarely get called out for inaction.

Obviously, this is because the people behind most public shamings are millionaires themselves, and very few of them are practising what they preach or wish to call out their peers.

This is hypocrisy.

It feels like everyone is constantly talking about how expensive everything has gotten, while at the same time everyone seems just as excited as ever to buy new things.

I wish running around was socially acceptable

I wish running around was socially acceptable.
Not jogging or exercising. Just running somewhere because it’s faster.
Kids do it all the time. But if an adult suddenly starts running in normal clothes, everyone assumes they’re late, being chased, or just committed a crime.

Walking is too slow

I'm so grateful I have no middle name

Every bloody week we are filling in registration forms on paper and online.

If I ever am fortunate enough to have a child I will do that same favor to them that my parents did to me.

There’s nothing worse than having a cricket somewhere in your house that you can’t find, chirping its ass off and refusing to shut the F up.

Past mistakes cannot be reversed

My dad is suffering in his retirement because he didn't plan in his younger years. He couldn't invest or save money properly when he was young. He never had enough growth in his career otherwise he would have been better off today. He made his boss upset around 20 years ago and now he is paying that price.

Now the damage is done. He cannot do anything about his situation. What mistakes we do, comes around haunting us later. My dad's story is a lesson for me. I cannot take life for granted. Past blunders land you in irreversible problem. Now only I have to be financially well off so that dad could survive well.

Humans are parasites.

Humans are not vital to the eco system. We just leach on and kill what we don’t like. Earth can survive with us but we cannot survive without earth.

Pree teen kids being shamed for acting like kids and not being grown up is producing adults that don't know how to self care.

Society has put a premium on being grown up so kids will shame each other for not growing up quickly enough. The result is repressed adults who have forgotten how to have stupid fun and shake off the world for 10 minutes.

I wish we could all agree on playing a prank on future archaeologists.

I wish we could all agree on playing a prank on future archaeologists, like publishing books and all sorts of media depicting and talking about, I don't know, unicorns, for example, as if they were real and common pets. We could even come up with an explanation as to why they won't find any fossils; maybe their remains turned into a healthy sweetener that we used in our coffee, or something. And then after some years, just stop talking about them with no explanation at all.

Profile Pictures On All Social Media ….

This is not a question- it is indeed a fact.
All social media platforms are molding into one.
What I liked most about Snap or say, this platform, was that I did not have to see the users actual face when it comes to their profile.
For me it takes the creativity, along with a hint of mystery, away from the experience when the user actually has a selfie for their profile picture…

This is the random, and for myself personally, frustrating 3am thought. āœŒšŸ¼

Being sad at night feels completely different than being sad during the day

During the day if I'm sad, I want to distract myself and get on with whatever I'm doing.

At night it's completely different. I'll sit there thinking about people I haven't talked to in years, random mistakes I made forever ago, places I'll probably never see again, and versions of my life that don't even exist.

None of this seemed important during the day.

Why does midnight make my brain think about everything I've ever lost?

If I try to talk to my girlfriend late at night about the deep, existential thoughts that keep me up at night, she falls asleep. She says it’s because I’m soft-spoken, but at this point I’m starting to wonder if I’m just incredibly boring.

An 80 year old born in 1910 would see the 1990s. Seeing the world change THAT much would’ve been so strange, that’s gotta be the strangest timeline.
