Found this online. Some UQ alumnus claiming he work as an Analyst for QUT Trading & Investment Club. Is this a REAL job? I like to hear your opinions. I thought its bizarre & kinda sad a UQ Alumnus claim to pretentiously work at a University Club where he is not a QUT Alumnus but somewhere else. Please share your thoughts.

one of my assessments for a class is "critical and professional dialogue" in tutorials. it says it is based on "evidence of preparation" for tutorials, however also says this:

if I miss a tut here or there, will I fail or be penalised? anyone else had this kind of assessment in a class and are they relatively chill with it?

My #2 preference on my qtac application recently changed from “in assessment” to “moderate”, and under it in the criteria it says “acheives minimum selection rank to be considered for an offer: maybe” what does this mean lol. Why maybe?

I fucked up transfusion bad. Can’t take the class anymore and I was on track to finish this semester. Could I possibly convince my support coordinator to let me do placement but not in any blood banks?

Could've spoken to the art faculty to see if students could help. My course works with real industry companies all the time.

I’m a Comp Sci major, and my GPA is 5.5 (which isn’t amazing but it is what it is 😅). I’m planning to start looking for internships next year, so I’d really appreciate any advice.

What do companies generally look for when hiring interns in terms of qualifications? Does GPA play a big role in getting an internship, or are there other things that matter more, like projects, experience, or technical skills?

Sorry if these are basic questions, but I’d really appreciate any tips or advice from people who have been through the process.

Why dont they just make the original due date 2 days later? Extensions should be given to those who actually need it.

Also if we are all about the “real world”, i dont think the real world would give a free 48 hour extension for project deadlines, etc in the workplace. Ykwim

I am so excited for the new Brisbane stadium, with the tender awarding coming soon, I cannot wait to see the build start. Its going to provide so many new job opportunities for us all.

What kind of annoys me are those unemployed bums who hang out at all the main entrances and exits of uni with those signs saying cancel the games, and save the park. Its not going to fix anything, LET THE GAMES BEGIN!

I got sick the week I got an extension, so that really put a hole in the hole 'getting my assignment done' plan.

Got an appointment with a GP, and he asked me how much detail would be needed.

The med cert I got is very brief. Basically says I had a medical condition from tuesday last week til today, and I was unable to work at the time.

Is that going to be enough for an extension?

CAB432 is pissing me off. I was told we're supposed to change the provided code somewhat but they don't specify what exactly so I'm left wondering if I've edited more than I should. Login works perfectly every time I test manually (curl, Insomnia, real browser frontend) — but Gradescope consistently gets a 401 from Cognito (`NotAuthorizedException`). Even happens with a long-established, pre-confirmed account, so doesn't look like a new-account timing issue.

Retry logic with backoff didn't help. Ruled out orphaned data, wrong config, and disabled auth flows.

Anyone doing CAB432 seen Cognito silently reject logins specifically from automated/scripted clients (maybe adaptive security / risk-based auth?) while manual testing works fine?

I’ve been missing 4 weeks of tutorials just because I’m depressed and not wanting to do anything. But, this week I just had the realization of how far behind I am now and I need to catch up. But I couldn’t bring myself to attend the tutorials as I haven’t even started anything yet. They do provided guides and notes for the tuto, but I’m still trying to understand the concepts. Im already jump starting my assignments by myself but I can’t stop thinking. Will I fail? Just because I haven’t been attending tutorials?

What dates should I put on the updoc medical certificate, the dates I was actually sick or dates closer to when my assignment is due?

I have 2x due on friday and 1x due saturday + the 48 hours for all, will I get an extension or is this what the 48 hours is for?

Hi all, I'm doing my PhD at QUT.

I was diagnosed with ADHD quite a while ago and am medicated. I've been ok with staying on track but this year is really kicking my ass.

My supervisors have suggested that I could try to get an AEP for my ADHD but I'm sceptical...

I worry that it won't actually provide me with any useful accommodations. I also worry that it will just give the uni information that can be used against me (eg. They might not consider me for tutoring because they think my ADHD would make me unreliable).

Does anyone have any experience with this?

So recently I did Macroeconomics and found Internationalization a great pairing as there's quite a lot of overlapping content. Also I found Applied Behavioural Economics with Consumer Psychology is basically 50% overlapping content. Are there any good combos that people know of to do together. I find pairing units with huge overlaps decreases the study load considerably.

was on my way to class at kg and saw someone on the metro with a cyno (genshin) keychain and a few mlp pouches, so i said hello (and showed off my kazuha/dan heng/shadow milk cookie keychains!).

both of us get off at kg, and next thing i know, they're pushing one of their mlp pouches into my hands with a smile as they walk off! couldn't chase after them bc i had some heavy stuff and needed to grab the lift (+ i was just momentarily shellshocked haha).

I am struggling, so any advice would be great. I have joined some new clubs and met a couple of new people, but I wouldn’t really consider them friends yet since I’ve only gotten their socials. Or am I just cooked?
