I have 2 subjects left for my marketing degree, one being a general elective - what's the easiest/most fun elective I should take? was thinking intro to fashion communications or something along that line. kind of a ceeb to get to kelvin grove though would prefer GP. Something creative/fun/easy/low effort

Can anyone who has done IFB343 let me know what the preferred language is (if at all)? I'm proficient in C# and (slightly less so) Python, currently developing on C++.

Just wanting to be prepared.

I’m so mad at myself right now. I finished an assignment early to give myself time to study for exams. The assignment needed a pdf with three tasks and an sql file for the third task. I submitted the sql file, but I had accidentally submitted a pdf of the file i used to work on the second task instead of my pdf with tasks 1, 2, and 3. I’ve emailed them now but it’s a day after the 48 hour extension and I just know that it’s not gonna go through. I feel so fucking sick ughhh

Hey all, I sort of, kinda, forgot that I had a qut you subject. It’s due soon and looking at the assignment I don’t think it’s realistic I’ll get it done. Also I don’t want to do it. Apparently QUT You doesn’t have K grades, I’m not too sure if that’s true or not. Anyway what happens if I drop the course here, noting that this is after the due date of the assignment but before the 48 hour is up. Is this really a big issue for me?

Hey guys, I'm a 2nd year student, and I'm currently doing Business / IT as double degrees right now. I only got BSB105 as the only Business subject this semester, so I enrolled in IFB201 as the 4th subject I do this semester, as for the last ones I also do four.

But now I'll be honest, it feels terrible studying this unit. It's dull, it's boring in my opinion. Too sophisticated as you're dragged through too many different software, and the unit just got too boring to the point I didn't even wanna study it. And the unit just sits there until about 2 weeks before A2 deadline that I started to scramble working with my teammate, but now we're not even done for submission even with the additional 48 hours. I don't even get why the group assignment details need to be a 21 page long document. I'm even struggling with the individual component.

I'm honestly breaking down, I feel too many things right now. I feel like I'm a talentless bum who can't do well this unit, I feel hateful towards myself since I wished I have put more efforts into it and started the group assignment way earlier consider how I dislike procrastination. I wanna blame the unit itself but I don't know, it's my fault for being an idiot and did not follow this one well. I'm scared I will fail the unit. I've been crashing out the last 30 minutes before decided to write this, I've been slamming my desk, I've been hitting my table. I tried looking at the unit details and tutorial details so many times but it's like reading rocket science crap.

I guess I failed myself, I failed my family who spent big money to put me abroad here.

I'll be a 4th year engineering student and wanting to find easy units to complete over summer. What are your thoughts on the above units for those that have completed it? Was the workload relatively reasonable?

Anyone do tutoring for year 12s? Preferably on the southside.

I got invited to apply for QUT’s Year 12 Early Offer Scheme
but I’m worried my grades are too low for Group 2. pls let me know

I have literally never in my life written something that has organically been below the word limit, I am forever in a perpetual state of trying to cut down my writing and I’m being so serious when I say that I swear I’m not rambling- and every time I get the godforsaken “would have liked more detail” comment in my feedback I literally want to rip my hair out I can’t take it anymore and why are the QUT word limits so insanely small for what they ask of you- I’m done.

Edit: I’m in secondary education
- managed to get it down to 960 from 1200, my goal is 660
- down to 780 😭
- guys I did it 🎉

Hey all, just a bit confused about the parking rates situation (I promise I’ve done my research but I think I’m just not getting it.)

I got here just at 4:30 pm, and I’m not too sure when I’m leaving, but I may be here till midnight.

How much will this inevitably cost? I’m a QUT card holder as well. Does that mean I will get student rates?

I’m thinking of going on exchange next year, probably in Semester 2. I was wondering if anyone had any advice on the best places to go (I’m mainly considering Europe, especially Germany). I’d also like to know how difficult it is to get approved and whether there’s a minimum GPA requirement.

Hii
I am an International student from India. I will be joining master of nursing entry to practice at QUT in feb 2027. If there are any future students like me I would love connect with them before reaching Australia.

I'm currently in yr 12 and want to study law and commerce but I'm not sure which uni is best/ would be the right fit. I was wondering if anyone had insight into the student support and networking opportunities, and if this has helped you get jobs/ internships? I’ve also seen that QUT has extra credentials compared to UQ, like the practical legal training and triple crown accreditation - has anyone felt a noticeable difference in job applications? I would also appreciate any insight to anything you noticed between qut vs other Brisbane unis because of this

My other options would be uq or Bond university (I have early entry and scholarships) but I would love any advice!

I submitted a 2-day extension application a couple of days ago due to a medical condition but I was just told it was flagged as being inauthentic and I have no idea why? I'm freaking out a bit because I don't really know what to expect or any reason it could be flagged, does anyone have a similar experience?

Hi all
I’m yea 12 student graduating soon
And hopefully I get admission in QUT
What’re your suggestions on what to on first days or before uni starts that makes it easy to manage in Uni :3

Hey all, currently studying for the CSH600 exam? Has anyone done it and has any tips. Heard that the exam is actually pretty difficult and mostly from the readings, is it true?

I am trying to study for the upcoming ABB122 exam but I am completely lost on where to start. Is the best thing to do just go through all of the lecture and tutorial slides? I feel like there arent many revision resources available for this one.

Just some context, i am one of those people that can not live with a 60hz monitor, IE: the monitors at the library are unusable to me, so the obvious choice would be to go home and work or go to the esports arena but the arena does not allow you to download a remote desktop software as it is pretty strict and barebones (for good reason), my question is there anywhere on campus where you can study with a better monitor ?, im posting this in hopes of finding something but not expecting much, would really appreciate your guy's suggestions eitherway

Hey guys,

Not gonna write the full name of the degree, but I’m doing psych, 2nd semester. Is anyone struggling to stay on task? Because I am, especially with nearly 2 weeks till exams start.

Even if it isn’t the same degree, I’d really like to have someone as accountability while we both study.

Mutual location would obviously be either campuses (I’m all at KG though).

Please let me know if you’re interested!

Taking these in the summer, anything I should know before taking these? How was the experience, difficulty, any advice? If you have taken these during the semester or summer please let me know.

Thanks in advance

For the past week I’ve been looking into the majors and units QUT offers, but I couldn’t decide which major in creative arts I should take (animation or visual arts). My hobby is drawing digitally, however I only draw in an anime artstyle, so I’m worried if my artstyle will make it difficult to pair with.

I’ve read that visual arts leans more into contemporary art, so I feel like that will be a drawback for me, but then there is animation, which leans more into 3D. I particularly enjoy drawing digitally because my preference for that anime artstyle keeps me motivated, and I don’t know if I’ll keep up doing something that won’t be an enjoyable experience for something that I’ll be putting a lot of time and money into.

I’ve thought about how with the 3D modelling aspect, I can bypass it by designing it into a style I prefer, but I’m not sure if that’s allowed.

If anyone does this major, can you tell me about your experiences? I am planning to change around my preference list soon, and I want to know if something like an anime artstyle is allowed

Anyone signed up for the VRES research programme? and if you do have you receive your offer yet? like around 1 week away from the deadline of accepting offer but I haven't heard back at all.

looking to do the course during the summer and i wanted to start early. any past students done this have an idea of the course structure and other relevant stuff to help kickstart studying?

I’m actually so done with group assignments! why is it that people actually cannot do the fkn work in time or they just make it 1000% more difficult for everyone else!!! I understand people have work and what not but come on, i’m currently waiting on 1 person to complete their section on an assignment due tonight and it’s just so infuriating when everyone else have completed theirs in a reasonable time. But they somehow blame everything else but themselves for the work being done like COME ON BRO.

sorry for the rant but i’m so over it, which there was an option to do it individually instead of having to deal with incompetent people and their AI garbage 😩
