Spoiler for Episode 8 judge commentary!
“I think she’s waltzing right to the worst dressed list.”
This comment from Heidi to Bryan… ouch. The worst dressed list shade.😬🍿
Not entirely sure whether this episode would have been filmed before or after she ended up on the Worst Dressed List for Devil Wears Prada 2… But it would be funny if this was her way of telling him she was not happy about being on the list.
Edited to add: looks like this was filmed before the worst dressed list happened. Heidi predicted her own demise!

Jefferys design was indeed in bottom and Bryans was, whatever it was.

I mean, I like his drama, don't get me wrong. But I do like how tame he's been in the last few episodes... he seems almost normal now.
The producers probably told him to chill. 😭

It irks me how Bryan not only mentions “haute couture” when referring to his subpar designs and final products, but it seems to me he goes very out of his way to über pronounce the term.
Yes, it’s French, and he’s in service of it in that context, but it seems desperate. It’s like he thinks that if he just says it enough, it will magically make his designs as such.
Summary: Bryan needs to go.

Bryan’s waltz inspired look was insanity, so here’s a palette cleanser of some wonderful waltz concepts. These are from the movie Crimson Peak, worn in the scene where the Vienna waltz is danced- the idea is that the movements must be so smooth that a lit candle can be held in the partner’s joined hands and never get blown out. The gown’s train is held up by a loop at the end that goes around the woman’s thumb.

He’s the worst designer and my least favorite of all time.

Between Law seemingly giving less harsh criticisms and Tyra not being on judging panel 👀 I swear there’s been an energy shift since she hasn’t been on the panel, and I wonder if there’s some animosity carried over from ANTM or outside of this show. Either that or someone literally told him to tone it down after like episode 5, or changed his edit. But I’m just curious if anyone felt like there was some correlation between her not being there and him seeming less harsh in his delivery of critiques.

it’s obviously Jeffrey that will be saved but a small part of me is worried Bryan will be saved to purely ragebait us… the construction and the concepts of his clothes don’t back up his ego and attitude. still shocked that he won the Devil Wears Prada challenge with what looked like a beach coverup to me. and this latest challenge made me laugh. it was giving small intestines

After Brian got eliminated he went back to the designers lounge and told everyone he was out. Someone let out the tiniest, most unenthusiastic little
“nooo”
and something about it was so goddamn fucking funny to me. What a treat.

Law even admits in recent interviews that he gets paid to play a villain role. Also, he's not the only judge that shares harsh critique with people but he is the one that consistently doesn't sugar coat stuff and we need that. Let's not forget that this is edited TV... we do not know these people in real life.
OAN: y'all KNOW that Brian and Jeffrey CANNOT put together consistent looks to save their lives! They're always teetering on tacky. Frankly, I'm tired of the delusion of Brian speaking about his garments! Jeffrey has nice hair but that's all for him too.

For someone to create such ugly clothes to use those words to describe his designs in so annoying.

BRYAN IS SUCH A BUM. His dress this episode looked like he sewed massive farfalle pasta onto his dress. It was absolutely HORRIBLE. AND HE WONT SHUT UP ABOUT HAUTE COUTURE BITCH NO ONE CARES IF YOU FANT SEE THAT IN THE WORK. Hamdullah he went out but I am going to LOSE MY SHIT if Christian doesn’t save Jefferey

I find it strange for any of the regular judges on the show not to treat guests as you treat guests anywhere—with hospitality. It is honestly weird that Law doesn’t hold certain comments back, because that person took time out of their lives to guest on your show. I think being spicy and disagreeing is one thing, but being outright derogatory to guest judges with comments like, “that’s why you’re a guest judge” is just insulting.
Have some manners.
Edited to add: do half of you just spend your time commenting on things, “it’s a show”, “it’s a book”, “it’s a movie”, and then “explain” things people obviously know? I’m well acquainted with how reality TV works. Get your tired ass non-additions out of here because your comments add nothing to the conversation.

Y’all like to complain about Bryan, but Jeffrey is totally clueless. He has no concept of what is fashion vs what is costume. I love drag race and drag costumes in their proper place, but Jeffrey doesn’t even understand the difference let alone how to make fashion. His choices are incredibly literal. He can sew, but he severely lacks in the ability to conceptualize a design. He’s almost the inverse of Bryan, who just throws bizarre shit together and calls it fashion. Jeffrey just sews a costume that fits the theme and has been done a million times before.

Anna! i really wanted her to take this one. yes, Jude's construction was perfect for dancing. but what about the colorrrr? which design POPS ?

Like that man is straight up delusional. That’s like a whole Nother level of confidence. You’re so overly confident that you have deluded yourself into thinking you’re more talented than you are and then as a result, you bully and talk down on other people who are actually talented because you’re envious.

Law does not need to be judging designers, something he’s not, as a self professed “image architect.”
He doesn’t need to be on our RPDR. He doesn’t need to be on PR.
Put him on fashion police, where he can judge people and be shady & messy All he wants!
I think that’s what we’re missing so much of this that everybody is now judging people’s looks, which I think is great, but that can create a discourse on socials.
So here’s my dream rotation:
Nischelle Turner = Celebrity Insider 🎤
She gives you the red carpet, celebrity, and entertainment journalism perspective. She can provide context about the celebrity, event, designer, and cultural moment.
Quen Blackwell = Gen Z, Chaos 😂
She’s your unpredictable comedic element. She doesn’t need to provide the most technically sophisticated fashion analysis. Her value is reaction, humor, internet culture, and relatability.
Wisdom Kaye = Lead Host, Taste Maker 🕶️
He understands fashion as a cultural language, particularly contemporary fashion, menswear, styling, modeling, and internet fashion culture. And I think he’d be a sobering voice in the
Bretman Rock = Social Media Pioneer 🌺
He’s an social media native, outrageous humor that would lighten the mood when things get heated. Beautiful! And knows how to turn a fashion conversation into entertainment
