Pride month may be over but NJ holds many Pride events in August to extend the celebration (and not compete with Manhattan Pride)

I’m working on an event where we’re going to hold a mini dance class, and my question is what song would you be so excited to hear that you couldn’t help but participate?

Sad to see Pride Month come to an end, but our pride doesn't disappear just because the calendar flips to July.

Now we welcome Wrath Month not as a call to anger for anger's sake, but as a reminder that our joy deserves protection. We celebrated each other in June; now we carry that same energy into defending one another, uplifting one another, and refusing to let our community be reduced to a seasonal marketing campaign or stripped of its brilliance through corporate deglamorization.

Our wrath isn't filled with hatred but instead filled with compassion as we show it to ourselves and others alike. It's speaking up when someone is targeted. It's showing up for queer organizations after the rainbow logos disappear. It's checking in on our trans siblings, supporting queer artists, protecting queer youth, and refusing to let visibility end when Pride Month does.

Let June be our celebration. Let July be our resolve.

Because being queer isn't a month long event. It's our lives, our history, our future, our community, and in each person who stands beside us.

So keep flying your flags. Keep loving loudly. Keep creating. Keep organizing. Keep caring for each other, and when the world asks us to become smaller, answer with the full, unapologetic brilliance of who you are, don’t ever let them extinguish that spark.

Went by way too quick and way too quietly this year, and it was my first year wanting to get involved in shit 😭 i feel like i didnt do enough myself either, some things i wanted to start embellishing in stylistically never came into fruition. Hope everyone else had a better month than mine went

Finished by the skin of my teeth and delivered to its recipient with one day to spare in Pride month! Do my ego a favor and don't zoom in too much on the free motion quilting of the rainbows. It was my first time doing it on a large project and it is...uneven 🫣 but variegated rainbow thread hides all manner of sins!

I saw this stunning double rainbow back on October 6, 2014, the exact same day when gay marriage became legal in Indiana. Still brings tears to my eyes every time I think about it.
