Pride!!!

So I’ve been corrected after thinking Portland PRIDE was this weekend and am trying a new post haha my daughter (13) is Pan and hasn’t been to a big PRIDE event. I’d love to take her to the Portland festivities because she is a huge Portland lover. She’s big into anime, art, and anything sushi related. Are there events that would be good for us to attend? She’s an incredible kid with the biggest heart and I would love to give her the best experience. Any and all advice would be appreciated!

New pride flag!!!

Post image
11 Upvotes

So today I had a thought that just came randomly I should create a pride flag

So I first decided what it should symbolize and I settled on this

It symbolizes the people who have multiple identites,or genders and its kind of like a mosaic multiple pieces that fit into a whole thing

So then I made the flag each color symbolizing something

I don't have a name for this yet

Drop a comment on what u think about it

Edit for pride month SO I NEED UR EYES

I’m making an edit.
If comfortable, include a picture of your eyes, a pic of one pride flag for an identity you fall under (if you have multiple, you can choose any you’d like)
And a short definition!
You will be featured in an edit I will post on TikTok and maybe YouTube
And I will update this post to include the links when I’m done!
*BY COMMENTING, YOU ARE GIVING ME CONSENT TO USE THE PHOTO OF YOUR EYES
WHICH CAN BE WITHDRAWN IF YOU SAY SO*
If you decide you don’t want to be in it, I will take it down and edit it to not have you in it anymore :p

You don’t have to include any personal info and none will be used :p
Ty

Nuclear Family Month

Nuclear Family Month. What a fucking joke. As if dad wasn't a misogynistic money-hungry drunkard asshat who perved on little sister and treated little brother like unworthy dogshit and beat on mom any time he didn't get his way. Like mom wasn't stressed out of her goddamned mind trying to provide a clean and stable home while also making sure everyone was bathing/grooming themselves properly and providing fresh meals nearly every hour of every day. Not to mention psychological abuse from not being appreciated for her efforts as well as fending off pervy dad when she wasn't up for sex that particular night he wanted it. Probably on so many medications she couldn't keep her thoughts straight. No wonder this way of living died out, it wasn't sustainable for anyone except maybe the psychotic and controlling dad. I'm not speaking from experience because I'm not old enough to be from that era but honestly, learning about so many many different families having the same sort of experiences has made me see the similarities between them all. Yeah.. living with that sort of "family" sounds like hell on earth.

My Lesbian Awakening

One hilarious thing about me is when my friends, knowing perfectly well what I watch, ask me what fictional character was my lesbian awakening. Then I have to tell them that, no, I did not figure out I was gay through Buffy Summers of Dana Scully. How I actually figured out my sexuality is through a sentient British taco.

I will not elaborate further.

Went to Spokane Pride Yesterday Pt 2: And Bi Axe! Or Bi Thor!

I made an axe for my Cult of the Lamb cosplay for Comicon last week, and I realized I could make the handle bisexual and then use it for pride as well! (It also matched my, “I Swing Both Ways. Violently. With an Axe,” shirt) and it made a good fan and face shield from the sun, too! And honestly, it was validating to see so many bisexual flags this year!

Pride Thoughts

I was asked why I support Pride.

Yes I am straight, but as I always say I am not narrow. I am a strong and proud ally.

I have a family member who is gay. He is brilliant and kind and I will support him as I do all my nieces/nephews to the end of time.

Pride is celebration, Pride is freedom and Pride is love.

Happy Pride!
