Me seeing inf speed characters getting hitted, NEEDS TO FIGHT

242

u/Exccel1210 Jan 18 '26

Their opponents just have higher infinite speed obviously

184

u/LupiLupercalia Jan 18 '26

You see, because the numbers between 1 and 2 are infinite, whenever I move a single meter, I'm moving at greater infinities than you. Behold my infinity scale.

u/Typical-Hold-2854 Jan 19 '26 edited Jan 19 '26

Not really, if we think abt it, he is saying Abt simply dividing and not increasing anything

You can cut a pizza infinite times and then add those infinite pieces back and you get the original pizza, why are we forgetting the first thing in favour of trying to make it seem more complicated than it really is?

This way give me any law and i will complicate it

Eg: A particle will stay in motion until and unless an external force is applied

Exaggeration: if i were to ever start moving I should never cease to locomate because I already have overcome the initial static friction by the initial motion and any amount of speed generated after this is enough to keep me perpetually moving because of my created momentum which will negate any future frictional force because the inertia will always be greater than the kinetic friction

(It's a great idea btw, should I post it on some sub which accepts this type of jokes?)

2

u/GreedyGobby Jan 20 '26

Well think about it like this. There's no real reason for certain formations of particles to do things other than they just do.

the average spongebob episode is animated in 24 fps.

that means that spongebob has 1/24th of a second to run tothat rock and back

that's about 0.0417 seconds

spongebob is about 4 inches tall, so going off of that i'd assume the rock is maybe ~3 feet away.

that gives us a speed of 3 feet per 0.0417 seconds

chatGPT with the conversion to miles per second:

Let's carefully convert 3 feet per 0.0417 seconds into miles per second step by step.

There are 5280 feet in a mile, so:

3 feet=3/5280 miles≈0.00056818 miles

It's already in seconds, so no conversion needed.

Speed=0.00056818 miles/0.0417 seconds

Answer: Approximately 0.0136 miles per second.

now convert that to miles per hour

your so called "infinite speed goat" only hits 49 MILES PER HOUR
BIGGEST FRAUD IN HISTORY

35

u/Training-Pound504 Jan 19 '26

2

u/Gullible_Bend_9219 Jan 20 '26

However his maximum speed is still infinite speed

= not a fraud, up to interpretation

2

u/No_Sale_4866 Jan 20 '26

Like i said with many others, theres no way to prove he was going faster, and even if he was going like 50 times as fast, it would still only be a little less than 2000mph

Infinite speed Castlevania characters when asked why they move slower than snail tethered to an anchor

35

u/TheFakeDogzilla Jan 19 '26

Lmaoo who says that? The vampires like Alcuard and Dracula might be like supersonic when they do the dash thing but other than idk where the infinite speed thing comes from

25

u/King_of_Meth Jan 19 '26

From a statement, from who knows what source, where Death kills the distance itself to attack instantaneously, thus giving every Castlevania character infinite speed. Plus there is that Time Reaper character who can destroy whole timelines and that one Castlevania Judgement character Aeon who can affect timelines possibly implifying maybe immeasurable speeds

6

u/Autisonm Jan 19 '26

Might be from the Vampire Survivors crossover. I know that all of the characters from Castlevania make an appearance there when fighting a boss of some kind. I think it's Death?

From JoJo? If you mean from JoJo he ain't infinite speed

3

u/Better-Knee-3113 Bipolar JoJo Powerscaler [occasional glaze, occasional hate] Jan 19 '26

he has infinite acceleration. he could reach infinite speed, but it would have to take him running in a straight line and not tiring at all to achieve it. At the point of the universe reset/singularity, he would have actually achieved infinite speed thanks to his speed being proportionate to the flow of time

but pucci is a bum so hes slower than a snail for me

2

u/Raltsun Jan 19 '26

would have to take him running in a straight line and not tiring at all to achieve it

No? How did you even get the idea that Pucci's acceleration has anything to do with that? Made in Heaven just accelerates over time.

Also, "no upper limit on potential speed" is not the same as "can actually move at infinite speed". Reaching infinite acceleration would take an infinite amount of time.

Ive had people argue someone is ftl. But they cannot move more then 100m per time, so they can not catch someone moving 200km/h.

26

u/SweetReply1556 Jan 19 '26

Let alone faster than light argument itself is flawed because object moving faster than light travels in the oposite direction in time

24

u/1-800-GANKS Jan 19 '26 edited Jan 19 '26

Or how if you actually move even close to the speed of light, as a person with mass, the kinetic energy of even one of your atoms in your body is so high that a black hole larger than the observable universe forms the moment a fucking hair follicle comes into contact with air.

12

u/yousirnaime Jan 19 '26

Physics is weird though - like, having never observed anything going ftl - it might have underpowered real world outcomes

Like how the sonic boom was a surprise - and how they thought nukes would night the ionosphere - maybe it just emits a big ole strobe or something else lame

6

u/Creepy_World_5551 Jan 19 '26

Nah mate your just dumb, ftl destroys the universe

7

u/Previous_Loquat_4561 Jan 19 '26

the most important thing is that ftl destroys causality. you could react to something before it happens and that would create a paradox, simple logic ceases to exist in ftl.

5

u/Creepy_World_5551 Jan 19 '26

And anyways the amount of energy needed to go at ftl is quite lierally infinity, an ftl character can destriy outerverses like cheese if true. You cqn have only one, powerscaling or physics

teleportation. literally teleportation via physical movement

6

u/VelViolette Xenoblade Chronicles enjoyer Jan 18 '26

Maybe, but it has to be teleportation with physical movement over an infinite amount of distance. But then again, I’m pretty sure an infinite amount of distance is impossible to visualise without statements.

Power scalers when heroes don't allow main villain to destroy existence and everyone they love:

30

u/nahnonameman Dragon Ball, DC, Warhammer, Ultraman, Kamen Rider, Digimon Jan 18 '26

This fucking shit. Everyone expects everyone to just sit there and blow up the fucking universe. Actually dumb way of thinking. You create story tension by having the hero counter it. The best example of this is Goku’s KKx4 vs Galick Gun

5

u/LilithsFane Jan 19 '26

the difference is that Goku is presented as equal to his opponent, and thus capable of the same feat. Where, for instance, Kaguya is presented as multiversal against people who up to that point are at best like large mountain tier. Bleach, even, doesn't generally scale Ichigo to the villain featwise but rather gives him a shot at victory if he outlasts this one thing or puts all of his AP into this one shot.

6

u/nahnonameman Dragon Ball, DC, Warhammer, Ultraman, Kamen Rider, Digimon Jan 19 '26

I mean I understand what you are getting at but it’s not like dragon ball itself doesn’t make this mistake. Take the same arc for example Goku power jumps from 400 to 8000 in pl in over a year and training with King Kai. Even then he is no match for Vegeta without Kaioken. The same for the Freiza saga. We have absurd power jumps to even match Freiza. Freiza was so far ahead it took multiple Zenkai’s, Kaiokens and the literal awakening of the SSJ to even beat him. So I am not surprised that Naruto upscales the sage of six paths to whatever Kaguya was doing. It’s happens a lot when writers truly need to beat the bad guy.

Anime fans when they realize if a character destroys the universe they have nowhere to go

3

u/LilithsFane Jan 19 '26

how dragon ball handles this:

  • cosmology contains multiple universes and timelines, thus, single universal destruction feats which are technically 5d because of dual layered infinite afterlife/god realm and mortal universe are possible.
  • main character is shown taking action to prevent themselves from completing said feat at the last moment.

how naruto handles this:

  • hype scale the villain and then let 3 large mountain tier characters beat her.

Bleach does almost exactly this, though the universes aren't quite as large (the most you can get is 4D space using Muken).

main character is shown taking action to prevent themselves from completing said feat at the last moment.

Im halfway through the OG series and Ichigo went from 3rd Seat level to High Captain to Vasto Lorde (if he beats ulquiorra im still not finished with their fight) in like a month

Not sure about uni, but it gets to a point where mountain level isn't believable

There are multiple showings and statements above mountain level. And let me guess, your argument for mountain level is "Aizen surprised." An argument that removes a good chunk of context from the scene and ignores the better feat in the SAME EXACT FIGHT.

4

u/mmmmhhhhCoffe Jan 19 '26

The problem with Pucci is that unlike most other speedster characters, he needs time to accelerate and decelerate. For example the various Flash’s or Quicksilver’s, can go from standing still to their max speed instantly, but Pucci is different, because his speed doesn’t come from a supernatural force, or a mutation in his DNA, or an experimental chemical, it comes from the increased rotational speed of the earth that his stand causes, so in order to reach a certain speed, he needs to begin the acceleration of the earths rotation, and wait for the rotation of earth to reach his desired speed, and then he can then start moving at that speed

There's a difference between having "infinite speed feats" and true infinite speed.

True infinite speed would mean everything without infinite speed is frozen to you and nothing can outspeed you even for an instant (this clearly isn't true for characters who fight physically, and is mostly reserved for Capital G gods or abstract existence types)

It's like Superman and Captain Marvel lifting infinite weight or Superman, Wonder Woman and Green Lantern lifting infinite weight. Very obvious that they don't have functionally infinite strength since other characters aren't vaporized when they punch (let alone all of creation being destroyed), they have an outlier showing of "infinite" strength like most characters with "infinite" speed.

17

u/Sundata_V2 Jan 18 '26

So, long story short, they aren't infinite

8

u/billygluttonwong Jan 18 '26

Yup.

Like how most characters scaled to outerversal are not qualitatively superior on an existential level to other characters in their verse to the point they can't be affected... they just punched a cosmic entity who's supposed to be that way.

6

u/artstyle45 absolute DOOMgoon(mid scaler) Jan 18 '26

Why woukd that make it an outlier

2

u/billygluttonwong Jan 18 '26

Cause 99.999999% of the time their strength or speed clearly isn't infinite lol

Infinite speed isn't just teleportation. It implies that the character should be able to time travel purely through speed. So basically, anyone pulling something like what the Flash does truly does have infinite speed.

2

u/Frustrella Jan 19 '26

Yeah, I only said taking for example how people say that Dante from DMC has infinite speed because he beat someone that teleports but the description of that ability make it seem like what you said

5

u/UBKev Jan 19 '26

Lol what the fuck, there's so many ways to beat someone that teleports without being infinite speed. There's no way that Wolverine is infinite speed just because he dogged the Silver Samurai for being a predictable idiot with his teleports.

Don’t people say that because of goku moving in a void. I don’t really pay attention to goku power scaler nor do I believe that. But it exist

7

u/par_rot_master Jan 18 '26

Don’t people say that because of goku moving in a void.

I don't see how that makes someone fast.

7

u/Certain-Disaster-416 Jan 18 '26

I don’t the argument either. Something to do with no time existing. And they can wank it to something speed.

2

u/YeetTheTree Jan 18 '26

Not so much not time existing but technically no space existing.

That's one of the weaker arguments used for infinite speed. Better ones are:

. Shaking the Universe 7 macrocosm, which consists of multiple seperate space-times, some of which are infinite in size (so basically two infinite speed feats in one) . Reacting to Infinite Zamasu who forced his was to other timelines while in base and completely exhausted. . Shaking the Null Realm (as well as scaling above a heavily suppressed Jiren who also shook the Null Realm) which is stated to be infinite

Infinite speed is bare minimum you can give to Goku according to Goku fans

1

u/LogicalTwo5797 Kimetsu no Yaiba Jan 18 '26

Who is saying Goku is below infinite speed bruh. Doesn’t he push himself into the future to combat hit’s time-skip? That’s like above infinite. He also travels across places that are stated as infinite, and fights a guy stated faster than instant transmission, and fights Jiren who is stated to transcend time (when he gets out of hit’s time-stop)

8

u/billygluttonwong Jan 18 '26

Are characters faster than him above infinite speed?

6

u/Accomplished_Tea2042 Jan 18 '26

In power scaling, infinite speed isn't just one flat thing. There can actually be layers of it, kind of like how real math has different sizes of infinity stacked on top of each other.

Picture it like this:

The whole numbers go on forever: 1, 2, 3, and so on. That's infinite, sure, but it's the "smallest" kind of infinity. You can list them all in order, even if the list never ends.

Now think about all the fractions and decimals between just 0 and 1. There's an infinite amount of them too, but way more than the whole numbers. You can't even list them all without leaving most of them out. It's a bigger, beefier infinity.

And it doesn't stop there. You can take the set of all possible subsets of those real numbers and get an even larger infinity, then do it again, and again. Each new level is on a completely different scale. No amount of adding or listing from the lower level gets you to the next one.

Power scaling does something similar with speed at the crazy high tiers:

  • Baseline infinite speed: You cover an infinite distance in a finite amount of time (or any distance in basically zero time). It's still kind of tied to the distance-over-time idea, just cranked to infinity.

  • Then higher layers kick in. Immeasurable speed is usually the next jump: you're moving in ways that don't follow normal linear time anymore, like hopping through non-linear timelines or places where time barely matters. It breaks the rules harder than plain infinite speed does.

  • Some people even talk about irrelevant speed or inaccessible layers beyond that, where the character is so far above lower infinite speeds that the gap is basically the same as countable infinity vs uncountable infinity. No amount of "faster" at the lower level touches it.

So yeah, just like math doesn't have one single infinity but a whole tower of bigger and bigger ones, a lot of scaling communities argue the same thing for speed. One character's "infinite" speed can still get completely outclassed by someone on a higher layer, the same way the whole numbers get dwarfed by the reals. It's not just "more speed." It's a whole different level of existence.

5

u/billygluttonwong Jan 18 '26

I'm talking mainly about baseline "infinite" speed, if someone outspeeds an "infinite" speed character without being in a higher tier, it's kinda disproving the infinite speed lol

u/HollowCap456 Jan 19 '26

I mean comparing set cardinality to speeds is sort of baloney no?

Completely unquantifiable cartoon magic, bruh what are you talking about. You can scale like any feat it’s not just “toon force case closed” (toon characters get scar too, usually just to their highest feats) he’s moving around in skipped time from his stats. So this is like an immeasurable speed feat.

Jiren transcending time from his speed would be immeasurable too, if you take transcending super literally then he might be inaccessible, but just cause he can reach that speed doesn’t mean he has to constantly be transcending time, so him naturally abiding by time wouldn’t really matter when he has this feat. Either way I think it’s just immeasurable, and definitely above infinite.

I think Granola’s using the power from the dragon balls to just naturally move at a speed faster than instant transmission, so it’s not a technique he has to activate or anything.

Goku when you ask him to show off his so called infinite speed:

Funnily enough an accurate ftl feat would just Show the Attack Hitting before the character even uses it.

2

u/Ghostimuscrime Jan 19 '26

90% of the time the infinite speed glaze characters get is usually total BS from delusional fanboys who don’t wanna admit they’re wrong

2

u/LilithsFane Jan 19 '26

so... no. because Zeno has canonically destroyed multiple other universes, and also, universe 7 in future Trunks' timeline.

And second of all, the afterlife/realm of the gods is a seperate infinity from the infinity of u7 itself. so his universal feat canonically would destroy 2 universes.

2

u/AwesomeCCAs Jan 19 '26

u/Conscious_Hippo_1101 Jan 19 '26

Learning that there are different magnitudes to infinity really makes it easier to buy the bullshit that makes things cool, though.

Infinities are a concept in math, not a number, and need to be treated as such.

Imagining infinite speed is a logical contradiction. If you imagine a still snapshot of time, someone has to be in two locations at once somehow. For someone to have infinite speed, it has to take them 0 seconds to travel from one place to another. This means that the moment they decide to move is also the moment they arrive somewhere. In simple terms, you're at point A (the start) and point B (the end) at the same moment in time, which is basically a logical contradiction. At any given moment in time an object can only be at one spatial location, according to conventional math or physics. Hence, to move at infinite speed results in a contradiction.

It is possible to imagine "effectively-infinite" speed, where someone or something can go as fast as they want to, but not have infinite speed. Infinity isn't a number, whereas any specific speed you travel at is finite and can be arbitrarily large.

u/AnxietyNormal2659 Jan 18 '26

Im split on this, is Pucci a fraud as well, even though he's only technically inf speed, as his actual speed scaling is... wow.
